Its a game made in Japan, and most artists are first taught to draw Manga, so it is perfectly reasonable that the most likely additions will be Japanese Anime-esque characters. Yes, its a bummer we didnt get Crash, of Spyro, or Rayman, same for Geno and Waluigi. But I'm also very happy with what we got.
