the actual boss fights dont really mean anything, i can two shot childe but canonically the traveler almost gets their shit pushed in by the weakest harbinger and then a few months later timeline wise solos signora. power levels are whatever the writers want them to be in the moment, like all anime bullshit. the raiden shogun gets defleted by kazuha, but moments before that she ripped herself through the fabric of reality to attack the traveler, and her execution of signora using the musou no hitotachi was so powerful it caused a lightning storm and filled the air with electro energy outside tenshukaku. it's a mixed bag.

I'm not even talking about the TB power increase. I'd be more inclined to mention things like the auto-battle making the grind less tedious (though it's evened out somewhat by SR being even more grindy), not needing to use an NPC for dailies/assignments and synthesis allowing for the creation of artifacts with specific main stats. But overall I did prefer playing Genshin. It's just that for the obvious reasons of it having more content, though I do prefer SR's 'hard' content to abyss as well.
But my big hangups with Genshin are how much more fluff dialogue there is, specifically involving Paimon, how much overworld exploring has been locked behind long questlines and as said, lack of characters that interest me. The last one is a really sore spot because the last character I really wanted was Dehya and the only Fontaine character I had any sort of interest in was Arlecchino who is about as nonsexualized as a female character can get.

I like Star rail, it's a good side game. But it's not open world so there's not much to do after a while. Building characters is hard because there's not enough mats or money.

The current leading theory is that Furina split herself in two and the greater portion is in the Oratrice. I'm not sure if I subscribe to this theory, but there's definitely something weird going on. You can hear Furina's voice come from the fountain, and she's crying. All of Fontaine's water converges on that point, so you're basically hearing the voice of all the water in the nation.
This self-damage from Fontaine characters trigger my autism because I always full heal my team regardless if it's 1 HP. It's fine with Kok around, but without a healer (that's not using an ultimate), it triggers my autism so much.
I brute forced the dancebot fight and while I absolutely love the fight and actually look forward to doing it frequently, I'd like to feel more competent while fighting it. I expect that somewhere in the future you'll actually need to have Lynette and/or HMC on your team to finish a story quest, no brute forcing allowed

yeah, my usual team involves EM Lisa, Babala (with TToDS), and DMC, XQ, or Yoimiya in the flex slot. bnb rotation is >Babs starts the waterworks >Eula press skill >Lisa skill >Eula press skill, normal x4, hold skill >Lisa skill >Babs >Eula nuke
there's lots of variations in there with the flex slot for hyperbloom or popping Lisa's burst and bringing Yoimiya out to overload shit to death. It's pretty rare that anything lasts until the nuke, especially after I got Wolf's Gravestone for Eula
Everyone is 80+ but artifacts are meh, as I'm 1 WL away from farming. Talents are mostly 6/6/6, obviously lots of improvement needed there. The results speak for themselves. The Traveler got bodied by a pair of Agents in Mondo, but then they were able to barely beat Tartaglia in his buff mode. Tartaglia confirms that the Harbingers are ranked by strength, so Geo Traveler was slightly stronger than #11 who's the weakest. By Inazuma, they overpowered La Signora who was ranked #8, three above Tartaglia.
The #6 rank is slightly iffy since they weren't able to defeat the Shouki-no-Kami 1v1. However, it's worth pointing out that Don Sombrero is definitely way weaker without the Shouki-no-Kami. If Dendro Traveler fought Don Sombrero without the mech, I'd imagine Dendro Traveler would win.

the actual boss fights dont really mean anything, i can two shot childe but canonically the traveler almost gets their shit pushed in by the weakest harbinger and then a few months later timeline wise solos signora. power levels are whatever the writers want them to be in the moment, like all anime bullshit. the raiden shogun gets defleted by kazuha, but moments before that she ripped herself through the fabric of reality to attack the traveler, and her execution of signora using the musou no hitotachi was so powerful it caused a lightning storm and filled the air with electro energy outside tenshukaku. it's a mixed bag.
Signora dying like a b***h was the highlight of the Inazuma story for me tbh, she just fricking atomized Signora like it was nothing

I don't know, the random Melusine ramblings during aquacar rides and the genuinely hilarious Henri quest shows that Genshin can definitely have fun and interesting dialogue. I think the problem is Genshin has a tendency to overcomplicate things.

Nah, just annoyed and venting my frustration because for the last several days I've had SRtards try to one up me after the 1.3 livestream with the TB power increase, when Genshin literally had the same thing
I'm not even talking about the TB power increase. I'd be more inclined to mention things like the auto-battle making the grind less tedious (though it's evened out somewhat by SR being even more grindy), not needing to use an NPC for dailies/assignments and synthesis allowing for the creation of artifacts with specific main stats. But overall I did prefer playing Genshin. It's just that for the obvious reasons of it having more content, though I do prefer SR's 'hard' content to abyss as well.
But my big hangups with Genshin are how much more fluff dialogue there is, specifically involving Paimon, how much overworld exploring has been locked behind long questlines and as said, lack of characters that interest me. The last one is a really sore spot because the last character I really wanted was Dehya and the only Fontaine character I had any sort of interest in was Arlecchino who is about as nonsexualized as a female character can get.
Ironically after using atuo-battle it made me want to play Star Rail even less. Like why the frick am I playing this game if I spend most of my time alt+tabbed and doing something else?

The current leading theory is that Furina split herself in two and the greater portion is in the Oratrice. I'm not sure if I subscribe to this theory, but there's definitely something weird going on. You can hear Furina's voice come from the fountain, and she's crying. All of Fontaine's water converges on that point, so you're basically hearing the voice of all the water in the nation.

I brute forced the dancebot fight and while I absolutely love the fight and actually look forward to doing it frequently, I'd like to feel more competent while fighting it. I expect that somewhere in the future you'll actually need to have Lynette and/or HMC on your team to finish a story quest, no brute forcing allowed

yeah that's what I did. It isn't hard or anything, it just takes me awhile because my units aren't built up well. At least unlike the fricking Ruin Serpent, I'm having fun
anything that seems too stronk against physical will be weak against elemental combinations
also try to have two full teams to lvl 80, with leveled sets doesnt matter the stats but the skill they give, and talents at level 6, then you will be fine against anything, even if it takes a while

there's lots of variations in there with the flex slot for hyperbloom or popping Lisa's burst and bringing Yoimiya out to overload shit to death. It's pretty rare that anything lasts until the nuke, especially after I got Wolf's Gravestone for Eula
Everyone is 80+ but artifacts are meh, as I'm 1 WL away from farming. Talents are mostly 6/6/6, obviously lots of improvement needed there. Also building some other characters like XL, Yelan, Bennett, and Kirara. Not sure what my second main team will be yet, probably Yelan, XQ, XL, Bennett, tho I kinda want to do Noelle hypercarry if I can get her to C6
a second team with noelle barb fiscl and xiangling will help you melt any shield

annoyingly I don't have Fischl yet, Lisa and Razor are my only electros and lol at building Razor...also that team doesn't have cryo and afaik you need that for electro fatui skirmisher and hydro/electro everything else

Tartaglia confirms that the Harbingers are ranked by strength, so Geo Traveler was slightly stronger than #11 who's the weakest. By Inazuma, they overpowered La Signora who was ranked #8, three above Tartaglia.
The #6 rank is slightly iffy since they weren't able to defeat the Shouki-no-Kami 1v1. However, it's worth pointing out that Don Sombrero is definitely way weaker without the Shouki-no-Kami. If Dendro Traveler fought Don Sombrero without the mech, I'd imagine Dendro Traveler would win.
