>get 4 slave miners together with 5 slaves per miner
>use genetic mutator on them
>slaves instantly go from being free units to $600 units
>20x600=12000/2=6000 dollars worth of units going into the grinder every 5 minutes
6000 free dollars every 5 fricking minutes is ridiculous. overpowered faction if there ever was one.
nice strat
And the yuri noobs like Brian Vahey will say “durrr Yuri is only OP because he’s never allowed to play therefore players aren’t used to countering him”
he's banned in online play for a reason. pretty much every single vehicle he gets is either overpowered or on par with the vehicles of other factions.
>floating discs can disable base power almost instantly and have good attack damage
>gattling tanks do more damage the longer they fire and can shoot while moving (unlike IFVs)
>magnetrons and gats go together like bread and butter
>boomers can stay undetected and then wipe out a base in a few seconds
>mastermind can take over an entire army in a matter of seconds
masterminds are largely to blame when people call yuri op but his entire arsenal is bullshit. unfair from top to bottom.
All true but OP is also right that Grinder makes Yuri by far the strongest faction when it comes to econ. So not only are his units better than yours but he has a better econ to make more of them so their high cost isn't a problem either.
grinder and mutator aren't unbalanced in themselves but used in an exploitative way. my main problem is with boomers. they're as powerful as fricking dreadnoughts, but are subs and can't be detected. there is absolutely no way to fight against them without spending way more than the yuri player did on the subs + the sub pen. they're also available literally 3 minutes into a match. i rest my case.
Sure if you feed your own normal units into it it's pretty mediocre, but no one does that, it's only for feeding it with the mutator or mc'd units.
the only unfair thing about the grinder is how it gives full cash back for recycled vehicles but half the money for recycled infantry. it should be the other way around.
You forgot
>Magnetrons can instakill any enemy vehicle using terrain
mags are probably the the most frustrating and bullshit unit yuri has. i think it actually has the longest range out of all vehicles and even if it didn't the way it compliments gatlings so well is infuriating. you can counter them with desolators but chances are you wont get close enough.
Honestly I remember being most angry about gatlings back in the day.
gats and magnetrons are the two most unfair yuri vehicles. 1 black eagle missile is enough to kill an ifv, but gats take two missiles.
despite what people say Westwood was never good at balancing C&Cs
original ra2 was unfair too. soviet tank rush was basically impossible to stop as allies unless you constantly harassed his economy.
>original ra2 was unfair too. soviet tank rush was basically impossible to stop as allies unless you constantly harassed his economy.
this is only partly true, Rhino Rush was OP but the key for Allies back in the day was Rocketeers
Anyone else got Uber micro with the chaos drones?
those things are borderline worthless. expensive, no armor, and doesn't do any damage. their only use is to use them on desos that are melting your slaves
2 or 3 basic tanks on their own can be taken down by a chaos drone who can even live to tell the tale most of the time
noone does that. chaos drone is useless.
Fight me boi. Gimme a time, my cncnet is FLAKKYTRAKK
im israelitematamitos
Sup dude long time no see
Chaos drones are expensive, require too much micro and are too squishy to be used.
In the whole plethora of stupidly overpowered tanks Yuri has, you picked the worse one
Didnt they rebalance Yuri on cncnet?
Even worse was that slave miner was better than other miners, as they could be built both as tanks or buildings, couldnt get terror droned, had no base you could destroy and were more efficient.
Whole Yuri faction is unbalanced overpowered mess
slave miner is bullshit. not only is it the most durable vehicle in the game, but it can set up right next to ore patches, meaning yuri players don't have to base crawl towards ore fields. definition of imbalance.
