Some of the fun of these games is finding broken shit and abusing it in interesting ways. It also effects gamer culture too. Back in the days before patches there would be broken or bad things that would gain a level of notoriety and add character and uniqueness to the game. Now everything must be over polished shit because muh balance. This isnt to say that devs do not or should not pursue balance during development, but often little oversights can make a game standout. PvP competitive brainrot has take that away.
I would take it more seriously if people didn't just consistently freak out whenever literally anything was taken away from them in any context. Zimms are still good, just slightly less good.
Ultrakill had a grappling hook that there was no reason to ever not use to the point that it kind of ruined the game because the "skillfully maneuver in and shoot enemies to heal" gameplay loop became "press the grapple button and shoot." They gave it a big downside so movement was good again which made the game borderline objectively better and people acted like the dev killed their dog

You seem to be thinking of another game. The range difference between gatling guns and ""long range"" guns on AC6 is a few pixels. Also, the mech in the webm is using the heavy tank legs to maximize the effectiveness of standing still, but everyone is actually using the wheelchair legs, which somehow have higher speed than the absolute highest speed biped/reverse joint legs, despite having higher defensive stats than them. So you won't be outrunning them.

The have huge impact damage and with 2 zimmies you basically get a free stagger with every shot. I went with 2 Zimmermans, a Pilebunker, and a songbird on ng+ and nothing came close to being difficult.

I prefer the direct plasma missiles because it's easier to time them with staggers.
I just used dual turners and scudders for 90% of the missions. The truth is once you realize how to time stagger with your available firepower, every AC fight becomes trivial no matter what build you have.

You say that, but back before the patches it was impossible to beat the Ibis without them. And keep in mind, I didn't use the Zimms until I got to the end of Chapter 4. Even on NG+ I used a different build. My problem isn't the Zimms being nerfed, but how this shows how moronic most gamers are today that they need to cry about muh op weapons.

Used pre-patch stun needles? You did not earn the S-rank.
Dual missiles were always better than straight missiles because they're way harder to dodge (like vertical missiles) but also reload faster than verticals. Straight missiles may do better on paper, but since they're so easy to avoid, in practical terms they're worse.

Yeah but those same movements would have made 90% of the x10 missiles miss as well. So x3 missiles from the dual launcher hitting > x1 missile from the straight launcher hitting. The most important stat for these missile launchers is how much of the salvo connects on average. That, and reload speed I guess.

The Pile Bunker would be a near-guaranteed OHKO the moment the pistols posture break something, but at the same time, you have to switch your left pistol out and finish the stagger break with just the right pistol while the PB charges. Is this actually consistent to pull off? Otherwise, the Earshot is just big boomstick.

Some of the fun of these games is finding broken shit and abusing it in interesting ways. It also effects gamer culture too. Back in the days before patches there would be broken or bad things that would gain a level of notoriety and add character and uniqueness to the game. Now everything must be over polished shit because muh balance. This isnt to say that devs do not or should not pursue balance during development, but often little oversights can make a game standout. PvP competitive brainrot has take that away.
I would take it more seriously if people didn't just consistently freak out whenever literally anything was taken away from them in any context. Zimms are still good, just slightly less good.
Ultrakill had a grappling hook that there was no reason to ever not use to the point that it kind of ruined the game because the "skillfully maneuver in and shoot enemies to heal" gameplay loop became "press the grapple button and shoot." They gave it a big downside so movement was good again which made the game borderline objectively better and people acted like the dev killed their dog

You seem to be thinking of another game. The range difference between gatling guns and ""long range"" guns on AC6 is a few pixels. Also, the mech in the webm is using the heavy tank legs to maximize the effectiveness of standing still, but everyone is actually using the wheelchair legs, which somehow have higher speed than the absolute highest speed biped/reverse joint legs, despite having higher defensive stats than them. So you won't be outrunning them.

Am I moronic? Was the zimmerman that good? I tried it a bit and didn’t like it, I used the plasma shotgun for my whole first playthrough. Zimmerman felt like it took forever to reload between shots, plasma shotgun would be the perfect gun if it didn’t force a standstill after charged shots.
The have huge impact damage and with 2 zimmies you basically get a free stagger with every shot. I went with 2 Zimmermans, a Pilebunker, and a songbird on ng+ and nothing came close to being difficult.

I prefer the direct plasma missiles because it's easier to time them with staggers.
I just used dual turners and scudders for 90% of the missions. The truth is once you realize how to time stagger with your available firepower, every AC fight becomes trivial no matter what build you have.
for PVP or PVE, i actually consider them kind of mid in PVP, they were broken in PVE

Dual missiles were always better than straight missiles because they're way harder to dodge (like vertical missiles) but also reload faster than verticals. Straight missiles may do better on paper, but since they're so easy to avoid, in practical terms they're worse.
The gimmick makes them straight up unreliable. Like half of them are gonna miss no matter what your target does.
Yeah but those same movements would have made 90% of the x10 missiles miss as well. So x3 missiles from the dual launcher hitting > x1 missile from the straight launcher hitting. The most important stat for these missile launchers is how much of the salvo connects on average. That, and reload speed I guess.
