>get home from 8 hour work
>exhausted
>boot up some of that Tekken 8
> first match get curbstomped by some 12 year old mashing as Victor
>turn off game
How are normal working people supposed to enjoy fighting games? Or is this genre entirely for poverty unemployed?

>he got beat by a masher
This game is for mashers though. Even pro streamers are saying it. Atleast the ones not on Bamco "ambassador" salary.
>pro streamers
I love playing vs twitch streemers. I always imagine them seething when I win
I fought a streamer called Ratking or something last week. Dude said I was mashing random buttons.
I was playing Hwoarang...
>Hwoarang
Checks out, you moronic gorilla masher.
If youre mashing or being mashed, you're in a low rank. In which case, mashing is good for you so you don't have to learn much to play.
When people say mashing they don't mean "randomly pressing buttons", they mean flowcharting their 20 move mixup city and in Tekken you queue a lot of actions/animations so it naturally turns into mashing.
>even pro streamers are saying it!!!!!!!!!!!
I love this cope so much lmfao
If you're losing to mashing, you're missing guaranteed punishes because you don't know the framedata. Just use the Replay feature and learn. Noobs mashing with Victor is almost always at -13
that's exactly the point, you aren't really playing tekken until you have labbed EVERYTHING, T7 also had this problem. hence why even at tekken god you would still get some of the worst players that have ever touched the game. except they know flow charts and gimmicks, legacy tekken had movement that negated this problem, sure you could lab out everything and get a great punish by stepping/low parrying/ducking the high etc. or you could KBD and reset to neutral. you won't get a punish but at least you reset to neutral and no amount of mashing will keep you in pressure in DR. ofc this has counter play like deep dash throw or power low. but at that point people are THINKING, now you are playing real tekken without having to lab every string in existance. it's why if you watch green ranks in DR it still looks like good tekken. because sure they don't know the MU but they can KBD and get out of most things unless they get read, T7 literally no one could play tekken until TGO and even then there were lots of shitters.
>pro streamers are saying it.
you scrubs keep saying this but never name them. I NEED NAMES
If you spend time in neutral in this game you're just bad.
Dude learn defense you autistic noob, agility used to be king, now its just moronic block chain memorization, if you see it once you've seen it every time.
Transken 8 is literally button smashing compared to previous titles.
I'm just carrying the cumulative skills I've been building since college.
If I started at ground zero now I'd never get anywhere.
Not with that mind set you won't, there's literally TUTORIALS AND FRAME DATA ONLINE that you can look through if you aren't mentally ill in the learning department.
>Turn off the game
Why you give up? Watch the replay and learn how to punish
>Why you give up?
Why you heff to be mad?
you don't, fighting games are for teens and neets
You learn to play
>NOOO I DESERVE TO BE GIVEN A WIN IN THIS COMP. GAME BECAUSE ME WORK IS LE STRESSFUL!!1
I don't deserve shit. But let's face it, Tekken has been reduced to an endless mashing shitfest. Don't take my word for it? Just look what the top players are all saying.
Ok I looked
They all beat mashers and skyrocketed past your rank
If someone is mashing against you such that you can tell they're mashing, then that means you need to counter their aggression with significant defense. Learn a few punishes and understand how frame advantage works, and after a few weeks (Yes, weeks. This is not a party game!) you will be able to curbstomp Victor players and hopefully translate those skills into ranked competition.
>Playing online
You totally deserve to be fricked for your moronic decision.
SP is fricking brain dead in fightan
>plays game that incentivizes mashing
>gets surprised when he gets bodied by a masher
you payed 70 dollars for this. you should cracked the beta and gave it a go before buying, that way you could see that the movement was fricked and it would lead to a game where everyone is just bulldogging each other.
Post characters, rank and hours in practice mode.
Love me coffee queen. Getting so much better with her and I'm chuffed.
Rank doesn't mean shit and has always been fraudulent. You can abuse tactics thay don't work as well in an offline environment and dodge the set if you barely win game 1 avoiding any need to adapt. Actual tournament placements are the real indicators of skill.
You can abuse tactics but that only works for so long. Just look at Bear players, they get stuck quick because everyone figured out all the bullshit like how more than half their moves are launch punishable.
That's when they win round 1 and don't play the set. Fighting games should force the best of 3.
It's all good, losing is how you get better. You aren't going to magically know how to block all the new shit from the get go, you're going to have to eat it a million times before you start to recognize it.
No but getting lucky game 1 and dodging because the opponent can easily adapt next game is b***hmade.
Fricking Counter Strike forces 90 minute MOBAs force 30, fighting games can force the best of 3.
i used to be rulers in t7. the full screen gap closers and lack of a 12f ch magic for made deal with in your face mashing pretty hard
all im thinking about is mein kampf now
I hate that heat only gives me SB, nothing else, but it helps
Reina, because I always felt bad for literally never using Heihachi even once over the years.
Few hours in practice to get a handle on some of her shit.
Whatever the starting rank is because I've barely had time to play.
I just do online on my off days or if I'm not too tired. After work I do training or something.
>get home from 8 hour work
>actually don't since I work from home
>it's mind numbingly boring
>I want some excitement
>boot up a fighting game
>it's all tension and adrenaline
If you get "exhausted" from work I understand why you would hate video-games. Watch movies instead, and sleep more.
I unironically go to bed at 8PM. Wageslaving is death.
But don't you experience mentaul exhaustion from all the borigness? I used to work physical job and it was honestly great. Playing games was no problem and actually felt better. But working on computer just kills my drive to live like I don't truly feel alive anymore.
>get home from 8 hour work
>actually don't since I work from home
>it's mind numbingly boring
>I want some excitement
>boot up a modern fighting game
>it's all slop and mechanics that promote getting into your face and mashing buttons
>boot up real tekken instead (T5DR, Tag 1)
>start having fun.
normal working people don't play kusoge shit
frick vicBlack folk
Daigo works as a nurse. You literally have no excuse
>Poverty unemployed
Self employed chads stay winning while wagies seethe.
By pressing back and down back to block
And by pressing buttons after succesful blocks.
Fricking homosexual blue ranks should be hanged.
You have to get good while you're 12 before you have a real job/wife/whatever soaking up your time then you coast off that accumulated skill during your allotted adult recreation hour.
Just don't expect to break past your ranked plateau once you reach it.
fighting games are exclusively for asians and unemployed Black folks
What about all the KOF Mexicans?
You're not.
Bajs
Started playing Tekken 7 last year, picked up Kazuya and am now Destroyer rank kaz in tekken 8. I work full time, too. You can do it but you have to play with your brain on, which I understand is not priority for most people with jobs
wagies, when will they learn
you either learn through spare time or find something else that's more casual i guess
> Play a handful of matches
> Watch your replays (which automatically inserts tips for punishment/ducking)
> lab for a few minutes to fix at least one mistake you made
Congratulations, you just unlocked consistent improvement. Hopefully you enjoy the process. If you're not having fun, it's okay to stop playing.
I'm 27 with a full time job and a girlfriend so I simply cannot do a dp motion even though I bought a 500 dollar fightstick and subscribed to Sajam on israelitetube. Fighting games are for nerds with too much time on their hands.
Okay nice but what does that have to do with dp motion?
Fighting games are typically enjoyed by children, weebs, and blacks. The three least-employed groups of gamers.
So I take it that this is the real Tekken thread? The other one is just full of gooners.
how about a lobby
name: vidya
pass:1234
there are 4 seats, 12 slots, feel free to test a character or ask, I'm still learning as well
>im still learning
>purple rank
>

I watch vtubers and dont play
forsen is my favorite vtuber
>Go home just to get bodied by a katana weeb frenchman
Welles would have loved this game
Just play singleplayer anon.
>online still fricked beyond belief for me a bunch of other people
>bad at videogames
>blame the game
You're the kind of moron who pays for level skips and bonus EXP in games
working doesn't mean skip learning
