You could grab every single person working at Bethesda and replace them, nothing would change. That being said, the people you listed aren't helping things either.

There are two troons that you encounter bg3, 1 is a cameo with two lines of dialogue and is just a generic npc that you'd only ever talk to because it looks weird, and the second is an old friend of one of your companions with like 6 or 7 lines of dialogue total. Both you don't encounter until at least 60-70 hours into the game.
With wotr a troon is one of the first two non intro segment characters you encounter in the entire game and is a major side character all the way until act 5.

If anything, BG3 massively lowered the bar for RPGs. cRPGs are literally my favorite genre. I've played all the classic infinity titles as well as most modern cRPGs like Wasteland, Shadowrrun returns, Pathfinder, Pillars etc. BG3 is easily one of the most mediocre CPRGs I've ever played. It's barely better than Pillars 1 and 2.
