If I remember correctly, the game was halfway decent but got killed by the devs running out of money and making a string of moronic decisions in their desperation.
as someone who has been there since the closed beta days, it's less they made bad choices, and more publishers made bad choices for them. they were trucking along pretty well and then microsoft, their first publisher, said the game had to be a w10 exclusive app on the microsoft store store, which meant it had to be a 64bit app for some reason. so they got slowed down a ton trying to convert it from a 32bit app (a lot of closed beta dates were postponed or canceled because the game wasn't functional during this time). and then after finally getting through that ms dropped them and they had to try to find a new one, and ended up with perfect world, who made the game an arc launcher exclusive which killed it's visibility. they finally let the game on steam a while later (which was just a launcher for the arc client anyway), but by that point it was too late.
Because you (literally everyone on earth) are drooling morons and will buy the shit in their cash shop for a dead game that they don't need to spend any money on developing or even hosting as its just a 10kb file on their office master server
it looks like it's a closed test. but it's worth logging in even if you didn't get an email because you probably just unsubscribed like I did https://www.arcgames.com/en/gigantic
I had installed this game years before I built my first pc for games, I was using a notebook that time when I tested and installed windows 10 for the first time, which by the way sucked in those days, and that was almost 7 years ago
the game's been dead for 5 years, so there's probably a lot of back end updating and patching shit they have to do to make it work securely again or something
>beloved
I guess thats technically correct but this shit was DoA. Im sure some people quite liked it but it was never a hit and calling it beloved seems like theyre trying to communicate that it was ever successful or well regarded by more than a small handful of people
I sincerely hope this game is coming back. I played this shit for hours on end when it was alive and was even there the last day of play. You could grind skins by just playing the game. Just messaged all my old friends from high school who played it with me.
this is a lot of dev work for a one-off. I think as long as this closed test goes well, they're planning on a full revival. or maybe that's already planned and this is just a stress test/interest check
all those features where in the core build years ago. Maybe not rush but i remember playing some kind of alternative mode in a limited sanctum falls map before they ditched the game. Also hopefully they will finish developing the snake cat assassin. That guy was fun af to play
I'm not going to get an invite because I never got to play the original. Please do well for me, invitebros, I've been wanting to play as Oru and Wu since I first saw their character designs, please let this get a full rerelease.

I'm guessing arc is a korean publisher or part of a korean publisher because they were the ones who had the free games like AVA and what have you, and those were also the ones with region bans.

i was the best imani eu. One specific tyto homosexual hated my guts and i hated him and we always tried to kill each other completely ignoring the rest of the game. L. you are still a fricking homosexual and a nobody
I always felt Imani was too map dependent to for my tastes.
She dominates in that ruins one with the river in the middle, but I've never seen one really accomplish anything on the glacier map.
Tytos though are just worse Tripps.
yeah sanctum was the best obviously and the canyon was manageable. You could quickly smoke jump to safety from assassins to the healer three thingy in the centre or your guardian in the late game. Ice map was a pain, I just ran the robot with railgun there. I always wanted to master voden tho but i never got the hang of the arrows.
One of my fondest memories was that particular gay picking wu on sanctum to grab me from my hideout and me juking him over and over while sniping him non stop no matter how hard he tried to make himself unpredictable with his various double jump, air dashes and shit. Fun times
>Tytos though are just worse Tripps.
True. Such a shame because Tyto has the vastly superior design. Tripp is just "Dollar Store Raven as a rogue." Hopefully my homie Roland is somehow in the game
Xenobia for demon waifu.
Tripp for the goth waifu.
Zandora for the muscle waifu.
Beckett for the redhead tomboy waifu.
Irmani for the black cyclops waifu.
Vadasi for the uncompromising heavenly zealot waifu.
Come on, that's not half bad given the sheer range of the cast.
Dude, I look at that image and I only see one hot b***h but I know the rogue b***h is hot too, stop pulling these b***hes out of your ass cause they aint hot

midgets, grannies and 6/10 ain't hot b***hes are you making a fool out of me? Only two hot b***hes, just as I said.
LORD Knossos.
I loved 1v1ing wienery Tripps and Margraves because the former is a slippery b***h and thinks just because they got the jump on me, they think they can win the fight. And the latter I just bullied all day long.
Generally yeah Tripp is countered by grouping up, but Xenobia can just solo her She can solo everybody. Xenobia not only hard counters Tripp, but is easily the hardest hard counter in the game.
>What are some of the counters and match-ups for Gigantic
Sorry m8, it's been too long. All I remember is that Xenobia is the best duelist in the game (if you build for it) and that she absolutely dumpsters Tripp. I don't even remember what her 1v1 build actually is.
It's honestly not that bad, the issue is that people don't like downloading new launchers for non-MMO games, so when someone downloads a game off Steam only to get slapped with another launcher they have to make a new account for, it's an extra layer of hassle that puts a lot of potential users off.
Im glad to get a chance to play it, I remember really liking the early trailers only to just forget about until the cancellation news. Felt like it just dissapeared without a trace because of publisher bullshit
Oh wow, I'm so glad for them! This game had so much potential! I'm friends with one of the artists and even he said he was a tad upset at the Gigantic's early closure at the time.
It was a weird hybrid of a 3rd person shooter/melee action game and a MOBA. You picked a character and killed enemies and then summoned minions to take out enemy control points to eventually get the chance to attack their 'Gigantic' creature. It was fun, but also janky due to 2010s netcode.
It was really unique, but it was more or less an attempt to bridge the gap between team shooter and movement/arena shooter. Characters were very fast and momentum-heavy but they have a stamina meter to limit non-tech-based movement (dashes, etc).
I'd actually compare it to Armored Core PvP in terms of how it ends up feeling, though obviously with a lot less flying. The gamemode/objective system is also completely fricking alien to either Arena shooters or MOBAshit and is best described as a fricked up combination of 5CP and KotH, except you're also taking care of a giant monster that beats the shit out of the other team's giant monster.
Why do you go online and talk about things you know nothing about. Its very well know why the game died and it has nothing to do with lack of popularity
I don't have many webms from back then, but here's a snippet. It was a pretty large map that would have multiples sections that would open up once points were captured (I might just be explaining one mode) and at the end you fight the other team's guardian giant and kill them. Movement was smooth and combat felt nice. A lot of positional requirements for status effects to proc, like hit an air attack on an enemy's back to inflict crippling which slows them by like 90%. It also had dodges too, the old guy could throw potions that made surfaces shoot you into the air, which is another big point, the verticality of the maps. Its been years so I forgot a lot of mechanics but it gave us so much and had room for even more.
Felt like if someone modded TF2 and made a League of Legends mode. Your playin 3rd person hero shooter which your goal is to defend towers.
It's not exactly the same (melee only characters are solid, there's a stamina bar for dodging, you can choose the type of towers you defend, no minions, etc), but thats the basic feel of it.
Think about SMITE without Bastet shoving her paws in your face every so often while you choose League styled items in the form of skill trees, and the map changes based on round.
>What is the point of playing a great game you miss
homie what fricking reason do you think? Are you incapable of playing a good game unless there's leaderboards or some other bullshit?
Not checking the accounts against a list of emails they sent the link to is their own fault frankly. If I were them, I'd be happy to have the extra enthusiasm, but I'll bet the server setup is minimal for this so it may strain the system.
everyone was really concerned when hopoo said gearbox was taking over the series, but then they also revealed that all the parts of the dlc that people liked were made by gearbox, so maybe there's some ok people there
He's been silent ever since Gearbox got bought out by Embracer IIRC. Having someone above him and actually able to fire his ass made him clam right up.

They are only killing off studios that have been underperforming for years like Volition. Randy might be an oaf but Gearbox is successful as long as Borderlands keeps making bank.
If Dawngate came back I would actually cry. Such a promising game killed by corporate greed. I’m still mad.
I looked into the devs’ next game (Shardbound) and apparently it ran out of money then was bought by some shitty NFT publisher, so apparently they’re just cursed.
for people asking for a invite just go on arc and sign up there unless they fixed it you should be able to play it lets fricking bring back gigantic
hopefully we have a thread about it once the game is online
anyone for the core/comp scene here? I cut contact with everyone and deleted the discord servers cause at that point it was just clutter. Where do you hang out?
Reminder to do your part and play the game for the maximum time you can - either you help the game get a second chance, or you misguide a company into spending hundreds of thousands of dollars revitalizing a game that has no chance of success and just fricking them over
Hopefully they give this sort of treatment to Nosgoth too since they got acquired by Embracer as well.
It was a fun 4v4 arena game based on legacy of kain that got shut down because Square Enix were fricking c**ts. The guys behind Nosgoth were dumping like $10,000 a month into paid league prizes to keep the competitive part of the game thriving, it had thousands of users on steam, and a bunch of other stuff.
I even liked the story - the idea was "hey, kain and raziel travelling through time has fricked up a lot of shit. the razielim actually managed to survive, humans have a fighting chance against vampires, and everything is getting fricking weird"
You are very, VERY, heavily misremembering Nosgoth anon kek.
it was a mediocre arena game that had paid shilling out the fricking ass and the gameplay was so shit it killed the game singlehandedly. Absolutely nothing like Gigantic.
I played Nosgoth a fair amount and I disagree, the game was fun as hell. Swooping up and grabbing people with Razielim and gangbanging them with vampires, landing hunter (forgot the clan name lmao), to pounce on frickers and lift them elsewhere, and I never saw any paid shilling for it.
Hell, I saw more shilling for Gigantic of the key art of that bird guy being posted
You can disagree all you want anon, thats the reality of the situation of someone who watched it from the outside.
Interestingly, Epic/Tencent tried to recreate that again with vampire: the masquerade – bloodhunt which had absolutely moronic high value tournaments and prize pools and now the games struggling massively
I actually have some minor inside knowledge about Nosgoth, like how they wanted to continue development even on terms very favorable/bias towards Square Enix (using rocket league money) and they said no. Look at how bad Square-Enix has shit the bed in the last 10 years:
-They rely exclusively on FF14 to exist. Even Blizzard has multiple games that let it survive.
-They quicksold Eidos and all their IPs to dump money into NFTs right as NFTs became worthless
-They dumped between $100,000,000 and $150,000,000 into forspoken and anywhere from $25,000,000 to $50,000,000 on babylon's fall - two games people saw failing fricking many miles away
I mean it was fricked either way longterm as a f2p game for a niche IP, but it was actively curbstomped by Square-Enix.
you forgot that eidos quicksold/leased the media rights for tomb raider for $600,000,000...swedish funbucks, or 60 million us dollars, covering 1/5th of the buyout rights instantly
as soon as a tomb raider game comes out that'll likely cover well over half as well as all the devtime
Because it’s a great time to revive it who is really going to overshadow it OW is pretty much killing itself paladins as much as i like it doesn’t feel ass good to play as gigantic unless valve somehow drops neon prime then gigantic should have a pretty decent player base if done right
Holy frick, this was the only MOBA i actually enjoyed and the only online-focused Multiplayer game that actually caught me in the same way that Tribes Ascend did... And now they're both fricking dead, so if this means anything, i'm the happiest i've been in years... And it's Thursday. I'm free on Thursday, FRICK YES!
>Actual combat >Actual movement >Actual skill involved >Skills have multiple useful paths
Man this game was a goldmine destroyed by moronic devs wanting a quick buck for exclusivity.
Don't bring the eceleb into this, you fricking moron. If shitposters get wind of any form of association with someone who trooned out these threads will get fricking ruined.
T-MAT was an interesting one, though regrettably her being added at the very end meant she didn't get any balance overhauls before the servers shut off.
I remember the final few hours of Gigantic back then was just nonstop T-MAT dittos. It felt like I was playing Custom Robo with all the missiles and flying around.
in case you don't know before they canned the game another char was almost finished. It was an assassin. A snake cat creature that if i remember correctly had a permanent stealth but unable to run while active, a projectile that teleported him on the target on hit and the ulti was a predator mode where the screen goes full red, you deal extra damage and speed (maybe?) and it extended its duration after every kill. Fun stuff, but tripp was probably still better
They actually had a lot of unfinished characters and other miscellanea they showed off in the final farewell devstream.

YOU FRICKING MONKEY'S PAW FRICKING Black person c**t prostitute NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
If the game had lived long enough it might have branched out to such a mode, given that fighting smaller, upgradable monsters in the field was part of the system. But the PvP combat flow in Gigantic was honestly really interesting and felt unique even now, almost a decade on.
How does this work exactly? I bought the game when it came to Steam and have gone to the Arc site to accept the invite. Will I just be able to play again via Steam on the 5th?
You sure? I just made an account (and got the "you're in the throwback event" message), downloaded the client, and downloaded Gigantic. It seems like I'll be able to play it.
It'd be weird, but also absolutely on form the inscrutable shit these companies pull. It's referred to as a "throwback event", which stings a bit since the only thing it's referring to is the five year milestone since Gigantic fricking died.
I personally don't get why now, don't know if it means a possible full relaunch or just a sick joke, but I'm not about to look a gift horse in the mouth.
I don't think they mean it's a "fan build" in that a fan made the build. The specific language is "this Fan Fest version of Gigantic," so they're probably just calling this playtest a "Fan Fest."
Like
PCgamer also asked them and they said it was a one time only thing, pretty fricking weird.
says though it's weird they keep referring to it as a "one-time only limited event," which does make it sound like a one-off thing. But why would they waste dev time on a short, free revival just to instantly shelve it?

especially to limit it to a (not actually) select few players
it just doesn't make sense from a publisher standpoint
Hey, everyone, I just noticed something.
https://www.youtube.com/@PerfectWorldVideos/videos
See, this link says PerfectWorldVideos, obviously. And the last video uploaded was a Perfect World promo about four years ago. The name has been changed to Gearbox Publishing, same as the banner.
Bros, I know there's only a small chance this game'll come back, but god I'll take it. Come Thursday, I swear to god I won't get off the servers til they shut it down.
Everything goes in cycles, anon. We've had several shit years for vidya and 2023 has been great. 2024 will probably be solid, 2025 will be okay, and then in 2026 it'll probably start being shit again.
The time this was alive and I tried it, it seemed like the main game format was moronic.
Like there was no any sort of time limit? And you could expose the enemy big boss weakness, but no-one barely gets any damage in, and it goes safe again. Felt like matches could possibly drag on for an hour and there's absolutely nothing "pushing" the teams to fricking play and finish the game.
>Game is dead because it did poorly >Revive said game >Expect it to do differently this time
Why?
Do they think people will come and play it simply because of overwatch killing themselves?
Do they think people actually love it, but just love overwatch more?
No, the game is shit and should just remain dead.
Super early on he was my favorite to play, then he went away, and then I never got him back.
They better not tease us with this 2-day bullshit. I want it back forever.
There was the various cosmetics for different heroes and creatures, which came in sets and were typically based around a theme. Those work fine in a MOBA esque game such as this.
And now I'm reminded of how, before completely shutting off the lights, the devs reduced the cost of every individual cosmetic in the store to one (1) gold each.

Did you have to pay in-game currency to unlock some heroes, or am I getting mixed up with Battleborn?
I'm in the discord, seems like they're revitalizing the IP and these are the first steps. Wouldn't surprise me a relaunch on gamepass and steam in 2024.
It's amusing to me that Gearbox would only consider relaunching Gigantic because it originally made such little impact, despite its quality, that they can simply pretend it's a brand new game. Whereas Battleborn, the IP they already owned, died so publicly and prominently opposing Overwatch that there's no way to give it another try.
It does seem that Gearbox is giving it some chance, let's see how this goes.
I doubt this will lead to nothing, like I said, launching on Gamepass and steam would be great for it.
before the death of the game the devs prepared a community edition of the game for easy and smooth custom server hosting but perfect world said frick you
You've got to be kidding me. The game didn't need to exist in some half-formed life support clandestine state using an old build? It could've just been allowed to live on as a community-run thing? Christ.
So here's what I gather from it.
They're trying to gauge whatever interest people have with whatever new mode and shit they have been making for Gigantic, if this new direction (probably a demand from execs at gearbox) doesn't get traction with the hardcore fans, then they'll shut it down.
I'm able to download everything fine, but it gives me a syntax error when I press play. Obviously I can't play it right now, but I dunno if that error is related or not.
seeing all my old teammates, friends and sworn enemies logging back en masse to the shitty arc client we all probably uninstalled ages ago is such a nostalgic feeling
TF2 has 9 characters and is considered the best """hero shooter""" of all time. The quality of the characters (both gameplay variety and the characterization) are vastly more important then sheer number of nameless stat bundles.

Hey I liked Awesomenauts. Had some good times with it. Honestly surprised it lived as long as it did while Gigantic got the shit end of the stick.
I enjoyed awesomenauts too despite all its warts and flaws. Just shocked Giganic died so soon compared to some others that have come and gone.
I remember youtubers shilling for Awesomenauts pretty hard, there were also youtuber skins iirc. Gigantic had none of that.
Now that I'm thinking about it, Gigantic wasn't even openly available to play throughout most of it's lifespan. I don't know what the frick was going on through the management's head. I remember them being on Microsoft's payroll at first, via some kind of indie sponsoring program.
>Have moderately successful game >Decide to chase the battle royale trend, and ignore your moderately successful game >Try to make MOBA/Battle Royale hybrid (???) >Inevitably fails, moderately successful game dies because of lack of updates

Guys, I unironically think I might be cursed, I have never played Gigantic and I want to give it a shot. If it will be DoA again, blame me I guess. Also frick those channels making "THIS IS HOW THIS GAME DIED" videos while the games are still receiving updates instead of being on live support, it doesn't need to have Dota 2 numbers to still be fun and active, you don't know shit and your videos usually convince more people to stop playing or give them arguments to spam threads with steamcharts instead of discussing the game.

>Also frick those channels making "THIS IS HOW THIS GAME DIED" videos while the games are still receiving updates instead of being on live support
I remain mad about all the articles reporting that Gigantic was being shut down like a full month before it actually announced. You just KNOW that shit made the player numbers even worse.

>F2 has 9 characters and is considered the best """hero shooter""" of all time
According to?
Valorant and Overwatch have soared to heights Team Fartress 2 could only dream of.
I mean Valorant is still routinely in the top 5-10 most viewed games. It is the king of hero shooters at current - nothing has come close.
Overwatch is on the way out, sure, but still more successful than Team Fortress 2 has ever been. If these are dead games then TF2 is a gazillion year old fossil buried deep in the shit and mud of Brazil.

Literally Twitch hun. Literally google analytics hun. Literally every measurable metric of value in this discussion. Sorry your hat simualtor is dead and has been for over a decade. Sweet. Can't wait to play this game that was cool (in theory) and watch my moron allies do the opposite of what wins games while my enemies do the exact opposite and then uninstall it after a day.
true, and honestly, this is more a problem with player onboarding then with the game.
Perhaps the game needs to scream more to players to do what's important instead of w key, bc at the end of the day, they had the burden of teaching new players familiar with a more action focused genre to focus on more strategic planning.
Maybe some shit like ffxiv sprouts would be useful, some ways to have vets teach newbs and foster that positively
Damn I'm trying to find the account that I used to play this game way back in 2016. This game was awesome imo even on my shitty laptop that ran it at ~40fps back then. All we need now is Tribes: Ascend to come back holy shit it might really be the time
Charnok got power-creped the hell out of viability. Between Oru's strength and Mozu buffs, Charnok ended up being the less damaging, less mobility DPS option
Lord Knossos was the same really, though had less of an issue than Charnok did. Rutger ended up being the support/debuff tank, Margrave ended up being the better sponge tank, Pakko ended up being the better middle ground. Knossos was in this awkward position of not tanky enough to be the tank, not damaging enough to be the bruiser
How is this fricking real? I have praised this game for years to literally everyone I know. I never could have imagined this. This game is fricking sick and holy FRICK what??

this is a lot of dev work for a one-off. I think as long as this closed test goes well, they're planning on a full revival. or maybe that's already planned and this is just a stress test/interest check
Oh and btw, I’m a friend with a QA tester that helped with it half a year ago. He „hinted” at it when I’ve reposted the thread to him. Sorry for ruining the surprise, but it’s almost definitely going to be a full relaunch. Still, go play it at the come back event to show you care.
Oh and he said „Frick Pakko” and „Pakko is OP now” so the balance will probably change now since the last official update. Still thanks for sharing the chart anon
>at the height of industry scummyness
2023 has legitimately been better than the last 3-4 years combined. We're nowhere near the height, especially with dogshit live service battlepass frickery finally calming down now that the bigger companies have realized how unlikely it is for them to get the Fortnite money they've been chasing.
Oh I remember this game. I remember drawing the white hair girl with the big sword in a blue japanese school swimsuit.
My PC was pretty bad back then, I'll give it a shot this time around. It's basically a 3rd person MOBA yeah?
Had some fun back in the day playing with the robot and the potions guy. Every time i hear about this game here is how good it was and how moronic the developers were.
Tier list I just made remembering each character towards the end of the game's life.
Lets see if any changes were made to improve some of the worse off characters.

Huh, didn't know they ended up getting the rights to that game.

Why?

>Gearbox wanting some cheap GaaS if I had to guess

as someone who has been there since the closed beta days, it's less they made bad choices, and more publishers made bad choices for them. they were trucking along pretty well and then microsoft, their first publisher, said the game had to be a w10 exclusive app on the microsoft store store, which meant it had to be a 64bit app for some reason. so they got slowed down a ton trying to convert it from a 32bit app (a lot of closed beta dates were postponed or canceled because the game wasn't functional during this time). and then after finally getting through that ms dropped them and they had to try to find a new one, and ended up with perfect world, who made the game an arc launcher exclusive which killed it's visibility. they finally let the game on steam a while later (which was just a launcher for the arc client anyway), but by that point it was too late.

Do you not?
>I want to go back
Too poor for a brand new flop, gotta reheat one
Post a fricking link
it looks like it's a closed test. but it's worth logging in even if you didn't get an email because you probably just unsubscribed like I did https://www.arcgames.com/en/gigantic
>it's real, just used some random e-mail
HOLY SHIT SOMEONE CALL CNN
I had installed this game years before I built my first pc for games, I was using a notebook that time when I tested and installed windows 10 for the first time, which by the way sucked in those days, and that was almost 7 years ago
that game was nice, hope it'll perform well this time around
lmao they left an internal playtest message up
>game is still in development
???? Is this REing the server or something?
the game's been dead for 5 years, so there's probably a lot of back end updating and patching shit they have to do to make it work securely again or something
I wish they'd do this for Battleborn. 🙁
I wonder if this does well, they'll bring Gigantic back for real?
>Battleborn.
So we can have a laugh at it dying again?
I really enjoyed the co-op campaign, especially Toby's DLC one. I just wanna play those again.
Battleborn will always be better than Overwatch
Battleborn was good sadly overwatch curved stomped it would do better now I think
*curb stomped
FRICKING PLEASE
Please be real
Gigantic was one of the best games period!
Oh it's real. It's real, son.
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOO!!
I adored Gigantic. I'm going to be calling everyone I know.
I can't fricking let this die again.
As much as I want this game to come back, the devs have disbanded. Even if it somehow does revive from the dead, it won't be the original vision.
Isn't that a good thing, though? The devs had no idea what they were doing near the end.
Can you really blame them? They were scrambling to save a sinking ship that was only sinking because the publishers they got were fricking moronic.
I hate to be overly mean but if they couldn't understand why their decisions were terrible, that doesn't bode well for any project.
They were better off abandoning it entirely.
My only real hope is that enough people play it this weekend to make them consider bring it back!
It's some new server with the last build or there is an intention restart development?
The full mail mentions them adding a new mode, so they've definitely been working on it at least somewhat.
>beloved
I guess thats technically correct but this shit was DoA. Im sure some people quite liked it but it was never a hit and calling it beloved seems like theyre trying to communicate that it was ever successful or well regarded by more than a small handful of people
Does it still require the fricking Arc launcher? If so, there's no way it'll survive.
You only need it for 2 days
I swear if Arc is a rootkit
Yup, DoA over again unless it's just a playtest restriction.
It has to be just for a playtest, especially if Gearbox is in charge of this one. They've never had much issue with putting shit on Steam.
I sincerely hope this game is coming back. I played this shit for hours on end when it was alive and was even there the last day of play. You could grind skins by just playing the game. Just messaged all my old friends from high school who played it with me.
Based and soulful bringing back friendships. I hope they reply back, man.
RAMSAY BROS WE'RE BACK
my pc is shit so i hope you homies play it so i can eventually play it too.
Fricking have a nice day Black person
die mad homosexual
moar
ok but only this once
you are a man
moar again
How likely is it that this is anything other than a one-off?
Seems that's up to us
this is a lot of dev work for a one-off.
That guy was fun af to play
>came to make a thread about this
>already one up
Glad people here still remember Gigantic
Mozu time never ends baybeeee
I could never forget this smug walking talking Gatling gun
I'm not going to get an invite because I never got to play the original. Please do well for me, invitebros, I've been wanting to play as Oru and Wu since I first saw their character designs, please let this get a full rerelease.
Just sign up. I made an account just now and it says I'm accepted
>one weekend
What's up with that?
Lol nobody is going to play this trash israelite
Hey buddy i think you got the wrong thread, the gooning for overwatch characters thread is 2 pages down
Frick me the only MOBA I could tolerate
>download the arc launcher to play game for a weekend
lmao
REMINDER
Genuinely heartbreaking to hear stories like this. I really do hope this game gets a second chance.
the devs seem stupid
I did it
I brought it back because I remembered that it existed just yesterday
thank you for your service
HOLY FRICK LET ME IN. I STILL HAVE MY GIGANTIC FOLDER. LET ME PLAY AISLING AGAIN.
Literally my favorite character, got to like 2.1k MMR or some shit with him
Gigantic spawned great image macros.
I still have this shit in my steam library, do I still have to download their trash launcher?
yes
Dang
I think I'll just with downloading both the launcher and the game on release then, in case there's trouble
>I'll just with
wait
Yeah, but given that Gearbox seems to be publishing that it might actually be temporary.
>Log in error: Region is banned
For a decade or so I forgot where I lived.
Frick.
Where
Egypt.
I'm guessing arc is a korean publisher or part of a korean publisher because they were the ones who had the free games like AVA and what have you, and those were also the ones with region bans.
>For a decade or so I forgot where I lived.
>Frick.
Fricking Ruskie!!
this game went from fotm to shutdown in record time
Nice
>Temporary revival
Why? If there's a market to bring it back just bring it back
>game with the most boring heroes known to man and no laning phase
lol
Frick you and your laning phase. I want to get into the action, not farm some stupid minions for 15 minutes.
>the action
>constant 5v5 teamfights where everyone shoots the same target
I got an email about this but I have no fricking idea what this game is or remember anything about it.
qrd?
Game with smug playable onahole
?si=bsor8smzka3ZBwda
Giganticbros...I know you are out there. Reply with your Herofu.
For me, it's Oru.
What's that one chicken like girl that has two guns?
She flies and goes fast
Like Tracer but with even more vertical mobility and not gay
I meant what's her name, sorry. I played her in the little time I did and liked her
Beckett, she was my favorite too.
The guy from the game Journey with a sword
Visually, Tito. Pretty fun to play too.
The one I stomped the hardest with, Ramsay.
My homie Ramsay. I don't know if he was OP but he felt OP and I wonder if he ever got nerfed.
Tyto, can't wait to rip Black folk to shred again.
take me back
you can sign up on the arc website
Rutger main through and through, though Sven and Wu were my back-picks in case the team was too tank loaded.
i was the best imani eu.
Tripp is just "Dollar Store Raven as a rogue."
Hopefully my homie Roland is somehow in the game
I hope they add more hot b***hes
There's a fair few already, honestly.
I don't see any. Vadasi and xenobia are the closest thing but they are too non human like.
Dude, I look at that image and I only see one hot b***h but I know the rogue b***h is hot too, stop pulling these b***hes out of your ass cause they aint hot
>stop pulling these b***hes out of your ass cause they aint hot
The only ugly girls are Zandora because of her weird armor making her look like a midget and Griselma because she's like 80. Every other girl is at least a 6/10.
Yea I know she hot but I ain't gonna say that the police is listening
midgets, grannies and 6/10 ain't hot b***hes are you making a fool out of me? Only two hot b***hes, just as I said.
>literally cannot read
LORD Knossos.
I loved 1v1ing wienery Tripps and Margraves because the former is a slippery b***h and thinks just because they got the jump on me, they think they can win the fight. And the latter I just bullied all day long.
Griselma my beloved
I love this lil homie like you wouldn't believe
>I get to smear people across the floor with duelist Xenobia again
Complete Trippshit annihilation.
Tripp bait builds were always the best, though I'm partial to just joining as a group and communicating with each other. Shuts Tripp down entirely.
Generally yeah Tripp is countered by grouping up, but Xenobia can just solo her She can solo everybody. Xenobia not only hard counters Tripp, but is easily the hardest hard counter in the game.
What are some of the counters and match-ups for Gigantic? Is there an expected way to play any of the characters?
>What are some of the counters and match-ups for Gigantic
Sorry m8, it's been too long. All I remember is that Xenobia is the best duelist in the game (if you build for it) and that she absolutely dumpsters Tripp. I don't even remember what her 1v1 build actually is.
I remember liking that little wand goblin
The alchemist dude.
WU gayS WHERE WE AT
i also liked the girl with the ghost armor
i'm moronic. how do i get in?
>Arc launcher needed
It's gonna flop again.
We know, we can only enjoy it one last time at least
Who yall homies going to main
Going to be Charnok for me
Wu
Time to be an obnoxious butthole again B)
I believe in robot supremacy
?si=tulgcVlTIjBEJ58P
Wu, Aisling, and Margrave were all master race
I want to frick Xenobia
bro you are literally just me
I'm sorry but I have to make people seethe with Tripp one last time. It's in my nature.
Tripp, no contest
qrd on arc launcher? how bad can a launcher be?
Korean dogshit MMO launcher with all the expected downsides that entails.
It's honestly not that bad, the issue is that people don't like downloading new launchers for non-MMO games, so when someone downloads a game off Steam only to get slapped with another launcher they have to make a new account for, it's an extra layer of hassle that puts a lot of potential users off.
No fricking way
FRICK YES FRICK YEEEESSS
THE ACTUAL FRICKING GOOD HERO SHOOTER IS BACK
Im glad to get a chance to play it, I remember really liking the early trailers only to just forget about until the cancellation news. Felt like it just dissapeared without a trace because of publisher bullshit
Oh wow, I'm so glad for them! This game had so much potential! I'm friends with one of the artists and even he said he was a tad upset at the Gigantic's early closure at the time.
>rereleasing to die again
but what was this game like?
how did it play?
If league of legends and TF2 had one of those moronic babies the spartans would chuck off a cliff
The biggest reason this flopped was because even the devs didn't really know what to do with it and what they wanted it to be.
That's literally not true. The game had a pretty well defined identity once it got out of beta. The publisher frickery was a way bigger problem.
Its been years so I forgot a lot of mechanics but it gave us so much and had room for even more.
man I forgot just how fricking good the art direction in this game was, everything looks so nice
>asshomosexuals but for furgay trannies
What the frick do trannies have to do with this? There aren't even any real furgay bait characters besides Mozu.
You forgot voden
Felt like if someone modded TF2 and made a League of Legends mode. Your playin 3rd person hero shooter which your goal is to defend towers.
It's not exactly the same (melee only characters are solid, there's a stamina bar for dodging, you can choose the type of towers you defend, no minions, etc), but thats the basic feel of it.
Think about SMITE without Bastet shoving her paws in your face every so often while you choose League styled items in the form of skill trees, and the map changes based on round.
They need to launch this shit on Gamepass for an instant playerbase.
What is the point of downloading when they're just going to remove it again in a week?
>What is the point of playing a great game you miss
homie what fricking reason do you think? Are you incapable of playing a good game unless there's leaderboards or some other bullshit?
>they caught wind of people forcing themselves into the closed event via the login link
goddamnit
frick i'm still at work
can i not get in anymore if i didn't get the email 🙁
Not checking the accounts against a list of emails they sent the link to is their own fault frankly. If I were them, I'd be happy to have the extra enthusiasm, but I'll bet the server setup is minimal for this so it may strain the system.
It was always crazy to me how shit like Paladins remained alive while Gigantic died.
Hopefully the new devs can make it justice.
Alright I got in. I wonder if I can play the newer heroes that came out right before it died. I was quite fond of Rutger.
Ganker I'm begging you to turn up for this. Please support Gigantic just this once.
i'm frickin' trying but i got no email!!!!!!
M-Mozu time?
You know it babe
What are the chances this is a beta test for a full relaunch?
high. there's a new gamemode, tutorial, and build system
I hope they got some of the original designers back. Otherwise gearbox will be gearbox
>I hope they got some of the original designers back.
They could probably just reach out on Twitter. It'd be that easy.
everyone was really concerned when hopoo said gearbox was taking over the series, but then they also revealed that all the parts of the dlc that people liked were made by gearbox, so maybe there's some ok people there
Gearbox mostly gets it's reputation for one particular dumbass, without much thought put to the rest of the company.
what's randy been up to these days, I feel like I haven't heard about him in a long time
He's been silent ever since Gearbox got bought out by Embracer IIRC. Having someone above him and actually able to fire his ass made him clam right up.
oh man I forgot embracer bought them. wonder how that's gonna go with embracer imploding since they didn't get that big saudi deal
They are only killing off studios that have been underperforming for years like Volition. Randy might be an oaf but Gearbox is successful as long as Borderlands keeps making bank.
I'll play this for as long as I can. One last stand with House Aurion.
My one hope is that, if this is the precursor to a full-blown relaunch, that the monkey's paw doesn't curl like it did with Hawken.
Fricking awesome.
>first Evolve came back from the dead and was playable for a few months
>now Gigantic
Is the Dawngate reboot going to suddenly spring back to life too?
>first person to mention dawngate
I played the shit out of dawngate and miss the shit out of it even still
I miss this c**t even more
most of the devs seem to have gone their separate ways so unless EA want to do something with the ip I'm not getting my hopes up
I'm just glad Bossa are having another go at Worlds Adrift
If Dawngate came back I would actually cry. Such a promising game killed by corporate greed. I’m still mad.
I looked into the devs’ next game (Shardbound) and apparently it ran out of money then was bought by some shitty NFT publisher, so apparently they’re just cursed.
>didn't get invite
Pretty fricked up, man.
go here and sign in i just did it with no email https://www.arcgames.com/en/gigantic
so wait if we didnt get an invite are we fricked
i was able to install the game earlier, am i not going to be allowed in?
for people asking for a invite just go on arc and sign up there unless they fixed it you should be able to play it lets fricking bring back gigantic
hopefully we have a thread about it once the game is online
infamous eu comp c**t that terrorized the scene for years here. I'll be back. And you will hate me once more. Can't fricking wait
game is going to fail if they don't pivot and make it about two giant women voring a bunch of minions.
anyone for the core/comp scene here? I cut contact with everyone and deleted the discord servers cause at that point it was just clutter. Where do you hang out?
Reminder to do your part and play the game for the maximum time you can - either you help the game get a second chance, or you misguide a company into spending hundreds of thousands of dollars revitalizing a game that has no chance of success and just fricking them over
No need to tell me, I have fun with it.
what the frick lol
based. I think I still have my shirt somewhere, but I think it's got some holes in it and I got fatter
I mean it was fricked either way longterm as a f2p game for a niche IP, but it was actively curbstomped by Square-Enix.
you forgot that eidos quicksold/leased the media rights for tomb raider for $600,000,000...swedish funbucks, or 60 million us dollars, covering 1/5th of the buyout rights instantly
as soon as a tomb raider game comes out that'll likely cover well over half as well as all the devtime
why now that the hero shooter craze is dead? What is going on?
overwatch is bleeding out so other games are allowed to exist
Because it’s a great time to revive it who is really going to overshadow it OW is pretty much killing itself paladins as much as i like it doesn’t feel ass good to play as gigantic unless valve somehow drops neon prime then gigantic should have a pretty decent player base if done right
Sweet
Holy frick, this was the only MOBA i actually enjoyed and the only online-focused Multiplayer game that actually caught me in the same way that Tribes Ascend did... And now they're both fricking dead, so if this means anything, i'm the happiest i've been in years... And it's Thursday. I'm free on Thursday, FRICK YES!
Brehs I am crying
Holy shit. I obsessively followed Gigantic until it was changed to a Windows 10 exclusive, was it actually good?
Most everyone who played it loved it but die to frickery with the publishers and lolnomoney not many actually played it.
MOZUUUUUUUUUUUUUU I AM BACK
Guess whos back?
I miss the Gigantic drawfriends. I hope they're well.
PARTY ROCKERS IN THE HOUSE TONIGHT
>Actual combat
>Actual movement
>Actual skill involved
>Skills have multiple useful paths
Man this game was a goldmine destroyed by moronic devs wanting a quick buck for exclusivity.
They certainly made odd decisions, but the parade of publishers didn't make it any easier.
Don't bring the eceleb into this, you fricking moron. If shitposters get wind of any form of association with someone who trooned out these threads will get fricking ruined.
Does anyone recall the trailer where it's fully animated and Lord Knossos spoke a few lines? I can't seem to find it on YouTube.
Was it the Basics Tutorial Video? That one has the characters talking to each other.
That's exactly it! Thank you so much. I love that little bird smile.
No problem. It's impressive that they had these cinematics ready to go so early on. Their animation team was on a role.
mozu time never ends, as they say
Frick I’m out of state. I’d love to play as the potion guy or pakko again. Plus I don’t think I ever got to play as the card guy.
I hope they have the new mech character in.
They actually had a lot of unfinished characters and other miscellanea they showed off in the final farewell devstream.
https://gigantic.fandom.com/wiki/Category:Unreleased_heroes
Personally I'm the most mad about Potshot never getting finished. Look at this cute little fella.
Potshot seemed like such an interesting idea and showed they weren't planning to leave the cute factor out of later hero designs.
Bolga also had a very striking look to her.
God given how good Margrave felt to play, I hope beyond hope that this playtest leads to a revival of Gigantic which leads to Bolga being released
If they revive it, they need the whole art team back, simply genius desings.
The main designer seems to still be semi active, they could probably get him back.
https://twitter.com/gorremhome
>Currently VisDev at WB Animation on 'Gremlins: Secret of the Mogwai'
what the frick
This, the revival is meaningless if they can't get some of the art and design team back.
i liked the beta boomerang guy with the double jump
i liked the frog guy
Wu was so cool but I struggled to get good results. Bags of character, though.
>arc games
NNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
FRICK YOU
YOU FRICKING MONKEY'S PAW FRICKING Black person c**t prostitute NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Arc was the launcher back in 2016. That's not a new development, anon.
>roland was still unreleased
kek
They had Roland and a cowboy style snake to launch, frick their gun characters were really good.
It's a shame the soulful assets of this game were wasted on yet another garbage PvP game. Co-op PvE game with this style would have made fortnite bux
stfu the game was fun af to play and took skill. PvE is braindead
If the game had lived long enough it might have branched out to such a mode, given that fighting smaller, upgradable monsters in the field was part of the system. But the PvP combat flow in Gigantic was honestly really interesting and felt unique even now, almost a decade on.
>didn't get an invite email
it's over
Neither did I, anon. I just went to the website and logged in.
https://www.arcgames.com/en/gigantic log in with you arc account. If you have played the game before you are in otherwise tough luck
can you actually sign the nda thing yet? Says it's required to play but I can install the game fine without doing it
>tried signing up for arc
>got this error
guess i don't get to play
How does this work exactly? I bought the game when it came to Steam and have gone to the Arc site to accept the invite. Will I just be able to play again via Steam on the 5th?
I had to uninstall the steam version first, then download the arc client from the arc website. Then It let me reinstall through the arc client.
you cannot join the playtest if you never played the game on that account
You sure? I just made an account (and got the "you're in the throwback event" message), downloaded the client, and downloaded Gigantic. It seems like I'll be able to play it.
>You sure?
no. Good for you then
Please... this can't be the end
We must go on...
If it's just one last hurrah, then make it a loud one.
Imagine if Gearbox randomly brought Gigantic back for one playtest, giving everyone hope, then shelved it forever. That'd be real fricked up.
They also said it's a fan build, leads me to think it isn't actually developed by them.
Where does it say that?
https://www.windowscentral.com/gaming/xbox/old-xbox-pc-exclusive-gigantic-may-be-back-from-the-dead-at-least-according-to-this-email
PCgamer also asked them and they said it was a one time only thing, pretty fricking weird.
I don't think they mean it's a "fan build" in that a fan made the build. The specific language is "this Fan Fest version of Gigantic," so they're probably just calling this playtest a "Fan Fest."
Like
says though it's weird they keep referring to it as a "one-time only limited event," which does make it sound like a one-off thing. But why would they waste dev time on a short, free revival just to instantly shelve it?
especially to limit it to a (not actually) select few players
it just doesn't make sense from a publisher standpoint
I don't want to be too optimistic, but this is a whole lot of effort for just one "throwback" event. This is more than most dead games would ask for.
FRICK YES
Hey, everyone, I just noticed something.
https://www.youtube.com/@PerfectWorldVideos/videos
See, this link says PerfectWorldVideos, obviously. And the last video uploaded was a Perfect World promo about four years ago. The name has been changed to Gearbox Publishing, same as the banner.
gearbox has the rights now
we don't know what they are planning with the game but it seems weird to develop features just for a short playtest
Oh man, I've not played in years i'm gonna be so fricking bad
Bros, I know there's only a small chance this game'll come back, but god I'll take it. Come Thursday, I swear to god I won't get off the servers til they shut it down.
showing some new stuff on the discord. Apparently someone has been working on this in secret or something. The frick is going on?
IS THAT A WORKING FRICKING JHERICO? DO WE ACTUALLY HAVE MORE CHARACTERS?
seems so

What the hell is happening?
Everything goes in cycles, anon. We've had several shit years for vidya and 2023 has been great. 2024 will probably be solid, 2025 will be okay, and then in 2026 it'll probably start being shit again.
lots of new lore stuff
beckett full name is miriam beckett
source of the build is "secret"
will keep you posted
any plans on bringing it fully back if the test goes well?
new guardian concept art
This has got to be the Guardian for House Tesserus, the one where all the robots come from.
You may well be on to something.
Sorry for being unobservant, I'm genuinely too excited about this.
Did that ever get fixed or am I wrong?
pakko is a baby titan
>Game is dead because it did poorly
>Revive said game
>Expect it to do differently this time
Why?
Do they think people will come and play it simply because of overwatch killing themselves?
Do they think people actually love it, but just love overwatch more?
No, the game is shit and should just remain dead.
We don't need to hear from the peanut gallery.
>No, the game is shit and should just remain dead.
The game was fantastic and the reasons it died had nothing to do with the quality of the game.
The delusional moron will see the game die once more.
And they will still deny that the game is shit and nobody wanted to play it.
have a nice day secondary.
The game wasn't shit. Tell me right now why you think the game was bad.
Are they gonna put Roland back in? Is it finally his time to shine?
Super early on he was my favorite to play, then he went away, and then I never got him back.
They better not tease us with this 2-day bullshit. I want it back forever.
As good as the game was, it always lacked some kind of progression to keep players.
>it always lacked some kind of progression to keep players.
I fricking hate what F2P cancer models have done to this industry.
Did you have to pay in-game currency to unlock some heroes, or am I getting mixed up with Battleborn?
i don't remember to have ever payed for anything
There was, but I dont think they ever got to a point where they could actually start charging people for it
they also kept handing out codes for that founder's edition bundle like crazy that just gave you access to every hero iirc
anyone know if this is playable on Linux?
I managed to install the arc launcher and install gigantic through that. we'll see how it goes on friday
Don't do this, don't give me false hope. Please I can't handle it a second time.
Don't think of it as false hope
Think of it as one more chance to have some fun
Made a Revival /gg/ gigantic general on vg, go check that out during the event if you want
Will my unlocks still be there for this revival? I remember grinding so much to get all the stuff I wanted.
Don't do this to me, man. My heart won't take it.
It does seem that Gearbox is giving it some chance, let's see how this goes.
I doubt this will lead to nothing, like I said, launching on Gamepass and steam would be great for it.
hopefully if gearbox re-kills it someone will at least get the new build to work with private servers
>Get notif on phone
>Think its my email invitation to play Gigantic
>Its just my Tinder match asking to frick
Its not fair bros
Ask if they got their invitation yet, and ask if you can play on their account afterwards.
Holy shit
I can finally quit dota for good
So what are the chances anyone playing with the leaked invite link gets banned?
None I guess, you just need to go on the website posted here and get the invite, I guess this is even a way to gauge word of mouth
devs in the game right NAO
I wish Battleborn came back
click here if you wanna join the nda discord
before the death of the game the devs prepared a community edition of the game for easy and smooth custom server hosting but perfect world said frick you
ì'm hearing interesting things. MAYBE we will be able to host games soon
You've got to be kidding me. The game didn't need to exist in some half-formed life support clandestine state using an old build? It could've just been allowed to live on as a community-run thing? Christ.
There's a post in the discord that the built isn't final. So yeah they're developing something with it.
So here's what I gather from it.
They're trying to gauge whatever interest people have with whatever new mode and shit they have been making for Gigantic, if this new direction (probably a demand from execs at gearbox) doesn't get traction with the hardcore fans, then they'll shut it down.
theoretically it would take a month to port the game to ue5 but it's not certain they will do it
Has anyone who signed up on the website tried to install and open the game yet? I’m in the arc launcher but it says I need a code redemption.
I was able to download it just fine. I think that button is for promotional items from before it died
So it’s normal that I can’t click the play button yet? I thought that people could launch the game
we'd be seeing a lot more screenshots if that were the case
I'm able to download everything fine, but it gives me a syntax error when I press play. Obviously I can't play it right now, but I dunno if that error is related or not.
>didn't have a pc when it came out
>can't play it now
Oh well.
seeing all my old teammates, friends and sworn enemies logging back en masse to the shitty arc client we all probably uninstalled ages ago is such a nostalgic feeling
The banners were raised and we answered!
>limited time
shame
wonder what the reason behind this is
announcing a sequel/new game by the end of it or something
>played it during multiple waves of closed beta on Microsoft Store
>played it on Steam
>no email
Frick me I guess.
Go here and log in using your old account details: https://www.arcgames.com/en/gigantic
Worked for me, I assume it'll work for you.
Bros Pakko is the best hero.
>Bros Pakko is the best hero.
Objectively correct.
The fact that his launch animation has him just faceplant directly into the ground and roll all the way back up onto his feet is hilarious to me.
I could never be able to play this game as a kid because my laptop had no ram but now I can try now
>I could never be able to play this game as a kid
>as a kid
>check game's launch date
>19/jul./2017
IT HAS BEEN 6 YEAR ALREADY?
oh wait was it 2017? I mean teenager same diffrence
WHY did they not start the event Friday midnight, surely that would have been better.
So do I just install this?
You need to install the Arc launcher and install the game from there. I don't believe the Steam version will work. See
>You need to install the Arc launcher
Nevermind then.
just do it for gigantic man
anon for the love of god just suck it up and do it
if this game is owned by embracer they might just do an actual normal release through steam
Don't be a homosexual man.
HOLY SHIT IM GONNA CRY. ITS LIKE DFO's revival all over again!
I forgot how few characters this game had
Maybe if you compare it to Dota.
or any other game really
>Literal who games like awesomenauts, battlerite, and eternal return have more characters than gigantic
The world really was too cruel for this game
battlerite was great
I think you're being overly defensive
all I said was I forgot how few characters this game had
>awesomenauts
Eternal Return is still doing pretty well, actually.
>Battlerite
what happened?
>Have moderately successful game
>Decide to chase the battle royale trend, and ignore your moderately successful game
>Try to make MOBA/Battle Royale hybrid (???)
>Inevitably fails, moderately successful game dies because of lack of updates
In short, Stunlock are moronic
trend chasing eventually worked for them though
>Started playing Awesomenauts since launch on steam and it became my most played game on steam before I quit 7 years ago
>Ever since steam release got into Battlerite and even came back to it lately, there are still players and it's still magnificent. It was also the only game I've actively made shitposts for whenever I wasn't playing or studying and the game's fanbase was really nice
>Heck I've even played Battlerite Royale when it came out and despite the flaws and now just being a botfest, it was the only Battle Royale game I've played that I've ever enjoyed
>Got into Chronicle: Runescape Legends which I strongly prefered over any TCG, Jagex shut it down
>Started playing TF2 after Jungle Inferno
>Heroes of the Storm is the only Blizzard and Moba game I've enjoyed and I have 700th level on it. I still play it from time to time.
TF2 has 9 characters and is considered the best """hero shooter""" of all time. The quality of the characters (both gameplay variety and the characterization) are vastly more important then sheer number of nameless stat bundles.
>F2 has 9 characters and is considered the best """hero shooter""" of all time
According to?
Valorant and Overwatch have soared to heights Team Fartress 2 could only dream of.
>Valorant and Overwatch
Forgotten and dead kek
I mean Valorant is still routinely in the top 5-10 most viewed games. It is the king of hero shooters at current - nothing has come close.
Overwatch is on the way out, sure, but still more successful than Team Fortress 2 has ever been. If these are dead games then TF2 is a gazillion year old fossil buried deep in the shit and mud of Brazil.
>source: crackpipe
Literally Twitch hun. Literally google analytics hun. Literally every measurable metric of value in this discussion. Sorry your hat simualtor is dead and has been for over a decade. The only people in the game currently are russkie and BR poorgay third worlders (which you prob are) idle farming hats.
FRICK YOU!
>Twitch statistics
>Google analytics
>Worthwhile metric
ISHYGDDT
Better than "because i said so" which if this is a viable option then my because i said so is better because I am not a small dicked third worlder.
You know what else had high numbers on those? Redfall.
Maybe some shit like ffxiv sprouts would be useful, some ways to have vets teach newbs and foster that positively
>get to see Vadasi's thick thighs and ass again
What a wonderful year.
Damn I'm trying to find the account that I used to play this game way back in 2016. This game was awesome imo even on my shitty laptop that ran it at ~40fps back then. All we need now is Tribes: Ascend to come back holy shit it might really be the time
It's time
it's going to die again
I don’t think it will ever be that popular but if they put it on goypass and steam it will surely generate enough revenue to stay open at least
You're gonna die some day too. If you use that as an excuse to never do anything then you're not living, you're waiting for death.
If we're bringing back flopped multiplayer games nobody cares about, bring back Marvel Heroes.
>comparing the greatness that is Gigantic to some marvel slop
this better still be accurate
Charnok got power-creped the hell out of viability. Between Oru's strength and Mozu buffs, Charnok ended up being the less damaging, less mobility DPS option
Lord Knossos was the same really, though had less of an issue than Charnok did. Rutger ended up being the support/debuff tank, Margrave ended up being the better sponge tank, Pakko ended up being the better middle ground. Knossos was in this awkward position of not tanky enough to be the tank, not damaging enough to be the bruiser
virus
WHAT
FRICKING
WHAT?
How is this fricking real? I have praised this game for years to literally everyone I know. I never could have imagined this. This game is fricking sick and holy FRICK what??
Oh and btw, I’m a friend with a QA tester that helped with it half a year ago. He „hinted” at it when I’ve reposted the thread to him. Sorry for ruining the surprise, but it’s almost definitely going to be a full relaunch. Still, go play it at the come back event to show you care.
Oh and he said „Frick Pakko” and „Pakko is OP now” so the balance will probably change now since the last official update. Still thanks for sharing the chart anon
what's your native language that you quote like that
>had tons of fun in the little time i played it in high school
>bringing it back now at the height of industry scummyness
dont give me hope...
>at the height of industry scummyness
2023 has legitimately been better than the last 3-4 years combined. We're nowhere near the height, especially with dogshit live service battlepass frickery finally calming down now that the bigger companies have realized how unlikely it is for them to get the Fortnite money they've been chasing.
Every time I see this .gif I fricking cry laughing
im so hyped bros, gigantic was fun as frick, cant wait
Reminds me of the annoying orange
Idk guys seeing the new modes progression might be enough to breathe a lot of life into this game, im feeling very hopeful bros
To be honest they don't even need to add any new modes yet. They could bring the game back in the state it was before it died and I'd still be happy.
Was there a list of most played heroes? I wanna know what my mindset was half a decade ago
Never played this but I just made an account and the site told me I got accepted
This better be good, you homosexuals
you need some friends
not for this game just in general
>not on steam
yawn
Oh I remember this game. I remember drawing the white hair girl with the big sword in a blue japanese school swimsuit.
My PC was pretty bad back then, I'll give it a shot this time around. It's basically a 3rd person MOBA yeah?
You can't just say that and not show us the picture anon.
I'm gonna have to look it up in my old drive, gimme a bit. It's just a sketch but I'll look it up for you, anon.
Had some fun back in the day playing with the robot and the potions guy. Every time i hear about this game here is how good it was and how moronic the developers were.
Is it as good as Monday Night Combat?
Ever since that game died I never found a game to fill that void
I'd say it's the better game overall, but nothing will be quite like Monday Night Combat.
RIP Veteran...
Tier list I just made remembering each character towards the end of the game's life.
Lets see if any changes were made to improve some of the worse off characters.
About as accurate as I remember it. Although in 300 hours I've seen a lot of good Tytos and only one decent Zandora
>bad game dies
>its so shit private servers shut down too
>youtuber makes video about how its actually good
>everyone is brainwashed into thinking it was actually really good
Every time
moron
low quality bait
