If I’m being honest, the leak feels like it could very easily be a traditional cross-Gen and not a regional. I feel like the same could be said for Sirfetch’d, but it’s the only one that really feels like that imo.
PLA had a mix of cross-gens (Scyther, Wyrdeer, and Ursaluna) and regional evolutions (Sneasler, Basculegion, and Overqwil). Don’t see why SV can’t do the same.
Turns out getting rid of Megas was the keystone to getting kino back on the menu.

This shit is really clever actually. I hope it's real because this is absolutely subversive, it's not like any of the fan evolutions people have made for years. It's a really cool idea that the tail head basically teams up with the main head and "chews" its way up to the top looking like a hood. That's exactly the type of thing game freak would do, pick some weird characteristic or idea nobody would have thought of and run with it. Look at what they did for ursaring and stantler 20 years after they originally came out: bipedal bear becomes a juggernaut quadrupedal bear covered in mud, while the deer becomes a mystic with a giant wizard beard. NOBODY would have predicted those as concepts, which to me makes this feel more real. As for typing I could see it staying the same type or replacing the normal w something else, because it's amplifying the psychic powers
I think this will be a straight evolution and not a regional evolution. There's nothing indicating that it would be a regional because it looks too similar to the original. When we've gotten regional evolutions versus cross gen, the regional evolutions tend to be much more different than the original evolution whereas the cross definitely have characteristics that let you know it's just a normal evolution. I think Sirfertch'd is the only exception to this rule, but part of me wonders if it was originally meant to be a cross evolution and they changed their mind at the last minute because no other Pokemon in that game gets a cross evolution.. they are all regional. They may not have had the idea to bring back cross evolutions quite at that time, but then it came to them with Legends. That totally would make sense considering Legends added about as many cross-gen evolutions as it did regionals
