Well, I'd say my outlook changed permanently. I "recovered" in a sense, but I was also never the same. This isn't necessarily bad though, as I literally feel like I matured 10 years in the span of over a year or two with all the stuff going on with me at the time, like shit was wild mentally, almost as if I experienced ego death and then rebuilt myself (no I didn't do any drugs).

No. I used to work out a lot when I was 16-17 but extensive use of porn and writing ERP smut led to being me a zombie deprived of drive during the last three years of high school. It got so bad that I failed senior year online schooling because I was jacking all the time instead of studying. To make matters worse, I lied to my family when they would check in on me. I was given the chance to make up my failing grades during May-June. The saddest part was that the school printed my diploma beforehand because they assumed I would finish. I was willing to physically redo the year when I returned the issued laptop and wrote a note explaining this but the counselor said "it was time for me to move on." I managed to get the GED equivalent later on but that's because my mother forced me to. I'm grateful for that because the rhythm of working towards a goal was a nice change of page.
I read the New Testament after receiving cryptic dreams that made me worry that my hedonistic lifestyle would send me to hell. have you read or seen steins;gate? if so then you'll be familiar with the concept of an attractor field, (if you haven't, imagine that the universe would have a specific plan for you and try as you might you can't change it) for me it seems that it's being a hikki neet. I broke out of it in my late teens (18-19 before that I was a hikki high school dropout at 14 years old) got a good job, and I ended right back in it at 23 after I got fired, only difference is I now have a house to my name in a different city where I know literally no one. I'm 25 now and I'm about to run out of money to pay my bills and can't get a job anywhere (have given up looking), just coasting by on the money I have saved up hoping my house sells before it gets repossessed, no idea what comes after that. I see people 2 times a month when I go out for groceries and that's it. Feels like my life totally imploded and I have nothing left now, last thing I have really is my parents who live very far away and a few online friends, that's it.
I'm going to give you my honest opinion: just do something, it doesn't matter what. Could be a job, school, whatever, just get out of the house on a daily basis, the first step is the hardest but also the most important, after you start something new it becomes routine and easier to keep doing it. There reason I gave you my story (in short) is that don't believe that it's something you just "escape" and then it's over with. If you have the psyche to be able to fall into it in the first place (hope you realize this, but normal people just would not be able to be hikkis, not judging you, I'm the same) it's something you can always fall back into at any stage of your life. Getting out of it isn't that hard, though it may feel like it is for you now, but then continuing to have a normal life is a challenge, which I've failed, so really I'd rather give you advice to put yourself in a position where your odds to fall back into it are lower, 1/2
Like I said I already failed at that but I can tell what I would do different if I had to do it over: once you're out of it don't ever get complacent. When I had my work, I had the mindset of "all right, I'm making money and progressing my career" and that was it. I would go to work, come home and frick around on my computer until the next day, on weekends I would stay in and frick around on my PC some more (really, when you think about it, I lived the same life except I would also spend 40 hours a week in an office) I met new people but never pursued any deeper relationships (this is a social issue of mine, outside of friends made in school, I have never been able to convert an acquaintance into a friend with one exception) so when I lost the job I just lost all social interaction overnight and also a reason to go out. Basically what I'm trying to say is don't put all your eggs in one basket. Get an occupation (either work right away or school into work after) but also do other things other than that. Try to find friends or else you'll end up like me, a 25 year old who feels like 50, isolated from family with no friends. Once my parents die I will have no one, I'm not a social person - you really can't be if you're a hikki - but the more I get older the more I start to realize that there really isn't much point to life with no social interaction.
I don't know if I should mention this but you should know. There's also a blackpill aspect to this: you might fix your life only to find out that it really isn't better on the other side, that's what happened to me and I've kind of accepted just being a hikki up until the financials catch up with me and forces me to get a job or starve. You might be able to get to a stage where you're normal passing but frankly, everyone will instinctively know you're a weirdo (they won't be wrong)and you'll always feel like an other in any situation. I tried to be a normalgay best I could, just couldn't do it.

I didn't, my grandfather had already paid off the house but was a moron with 20 credit cards paying for each other, so he refinanced to consolidate all his bills into one which was essentially a new mortgage. In theory we could just keep the house but the mortgage and insurance alone before utilities is like 2500-3000 a month. Plus his own son was part of the estate and paid for everything relating to his death care and funeral expenses plus paying the house bills for months afterwards, so he deserves at least the 1/3rd cut of the price of the sale for everything he's done.

In theory if I picked up a better job it might be possible, but that in itself would frick over college. But anyway the stuff with my manager at work could be a lifeline, since basically the owner can't just give him 20K more a year to match his new job offer, and since he's close to retiring anyway he might just sell the business to him instead of having it be shuttered or having to replace like 6/10 of the employees in just a few months (impossible). If that were to happen I'd probably be set to take on the manager position, which pays more than enough to meet the house bills. But then I'd probably still need to take out a 40K loan to pay off the son for everything he's done.
If he never planned to pay it off he would have left it at credit card debt as that is written off on death. To use home equity to pay it off says someone manipulated him somewhere. If not the under writer, a family member who got an early pay out from any left over liquidity. But yeah you have to pay your uncle one way or the other for keeping it going this long. Sucks man, but if you lose this inheritance good chance you are never seeing a home again. Even in a supposed crash they keep inflating higher.

It's the uncle that got him to pay it that way. Now this was a few years ago (Before covid, which forced him to end his small business) and I don't think he was planning on dying so soon (Both he and my grandmother went within a few months of each other suddenly this year), so at one point maybe he did, but I think at the time he was being too inconsiderate about the future.
And yeah, that's the thing. To have another chance at owning a home in the future I'll probably have to move to the midwest or something. As it is the best "future plan" I have now for that is to buyout the landlord for the other half of the duplex my parents rent. But all that is "someday" bullshit, in the short term I could basically be losing all my income and have to move in with my parents.
And not just the money problems, what girl wants to get with a guy in such a trashy situation? I'd be better trying to literally rent a fricking trailer as far as that goes.

What do you mean? I'm saying that living like that is pathetic, has no prospects, and limited freedom. But the issue isn't just trying to find a girl who can accept all that, it's trying to find a girl while accepting all of that yourself. There's nothing more ruinous to a relationship to having no self-esteem, than hating yourself and your own situation. If you feel like shit and hate your life, the idea of bringing someone else into it becomes a joke, the image of yourself just becomes a burden you'd be foisting on another person. Well then you should probably look closer and see if the uncle got anything out of it. Seen a similar situation where a grandchild needed something and used grandparents existing credit card debt as the manipulation tool to get the overage on the mortgage. You never use home equity on anything other than large home repair bills. You might try getting a first time homeowner loan, but if the house is already in your name that is going to be an uphill battle and a higher mortgage bill right now. Do what you can to get the house debt covered by something you can declare bankruptcy on and not lose it.

He has a great job, owns his home, and none of those cards were ever used on him, he doesn't really get anything out of this since he's been footing all the bills for a while. At best maybe he'll get like 40K at the end of everything, but his income is enough that this isn't really much money. The house is currently in estate split between him, my mother, and my other uncle, before the sale. The core issue here is that my section of the family is just straight-up poor, if I had to guess the combined income of myself, my mom, dad, and other grandmother is under 30K a year. Even if we didn't pay him or my aunt anything, we just don't have the monthly income to meet the bills. At their place right now the rent is only like 1-1200 a month with utilities included and we still can't afford to consistently get groceries every week.

I'm going to give you my honest opinion: just do something, it doesn't matter what. Could be a job, school, whatever, just get out of the house on a daily basis, the first step is the hardest but also the most important, after you start something new it becomes routine and easier to keep doing it. There reason I gave you my story (in short) is that don't believe that it's something you just "escape" and then it's over with. If you have the psyche to be able to fall into it in the first place (hope you realize this, but normal people just would not be able to be hikkis, not judging you, I'm the same) it's something you can always fall back into at any stage of your life. Getting out of it isn't that hard, though it may feel like it is for you now, but then continuing to have a normal life is a challenge, which I've failed, so really I'd rather give you advice to put yourself in a position where your odds to fall back into it are lower, 1/2

Like I said I already failed at that but I can tell what I would do different if I had to do it over: once you're out of it don't ever get complacent. When I had my work, I had the mindset of "all right, I'm making money and progressing my career" and that was it. I would go to work, come home and frick around on my computer until the next day, on weekends I would stay in and frick around on my PC some more (really, when you think about it, I lived the same life except I would also spend 40 hours a week in an office) I met new people but never pursued any deeper relationships (this is a social issue of mine, outside of friends made in school, I have never been able to convert an acquaintance into a friend with one exception) so when I lost the job I just lost all social interaction overnight and also a reason to go out. Basically what I'm trying to say is don't put all your eggs in one basket. Get an occupation (either work right away or school into work after) but also do other things other than that. Try to find friends or else you'll end up like me, a 25 year old who feels like 50, isolated from family with no friends. Once my parents die I will have no one, I'm not a social person - you really can't be if you're a hikki - but the more I get older the more I start to realize that there really isn't much point to life with no social interaction.
I don't know if I should mention this but you should know. There's also a blackpill aspect to this: you might fix your life only to find out that it really isn't better on the other side, that's what happened to me and I've kind of accepted just being a hikki up until the financials catch up with me and forces me to get a job or starve. You might be able to get to a stage where you're normal passing but frankly, everyone will instinctively know you're a weirdo (they won't be wrong)and you'll always feel like an other in any situation. I tried to be a normalgay best I could, just couldn't do it.

In theory we could just keep the house but the mortgage and insurance alone before utilities is like 2500-3000 a month. Plus his own son was part of the estate and paid for everything relating to his death care and funeral expenses plus paying the house bills for months afterwards, so he deserves at least the 1/3rd cut of the price of the sale for everything he's done.

What do you mean? I'm saying that living like that is pathetic, has no prospects, and limited freedom. But the issue isn't just trying to find a girl who can accept all that, it's trying to find a girl while accepting all of that yourself. Seen a similar situation where a grandchild needed something and used grandparents existing credit card debt as the manipulation tool to get the overage on the mortgage. You never use home equity on anything other than large home repair bills. You might try getting a first time homeowner loan, but if the house is already in your name that is going to be an uphill battle and a higher mortgage bill right now. Do what you can to get the house debt covered by something you can declare bankruptcy on and not lose it.
