They have also chased people out of the community for stupid ass reasons. An example was a mod that added the Principality of Zeon, with custom mech 'ships' with some pretty cool mechanics. Their reason was that Zeon is partially inspired by Nazi Germany (ignoring that it is also inspired by Soviet Russia). They did the same thing with a mod that added a bunch of Panzer themed ships.

Modders for Starsector are intentionally adding scripts that do nothing but check for the presence of other mods, and then either brick your save by altering npcs or crashing to desktop, usually upon start but not always.

There is person-to-person dialog in the game. It's not just a spaceship game. It's mostly dialog with some xray images thoughever. Mostly gicen attention because the modding scene is INFESTED with trannies who put their weebshit OCs into the game to kill you with their infinity+1 powerful ships because they're cool like that, and several players find it amusing to outbullshit them and then subject the narcissists to a fate comparable to death - the shattering of the ego.

The description makes it sound that you put ships there and you get blueprints for them, and that's fine and clear, but they are also the only buildings where you can put forge templates - pic rel. Except those forge templates don't seem to actually be doing anything. I've had it for many months, and it's never produced anything. It doesn't give me a blueprint for the ship, nor does it let me produce it while the template is installed either. So what are the templates even for? How do I use them?
Hull deconstructors break down ships and will overwrite a blank forge template with that ships data.
Old labs can fix broken forge templates into blank templates.
The hull forge can then use ship templates to build the ship with a hull mod that allows for more s mods. You can also get an event to use a hull template to build a ship when salvaging stations.
All 3 industries can be found on plants with the industrial ruins condition.
I've got two planets with old ruins and both can only be upgraded into the hull deconstructors, with no option to build a hull forge.
Am I supposed to just colonise all planets with old ruins and hope that one of them can be turned into a forge, or is there a way to tell if you'll be able to do that before?
