Give me a single reason not shrouded in personal bias that it’s not an objective 10/10. illl wait, patiently.

No.
It is
If it can be improved with mods then it can't be a perfect game to begin with.
>steak isn't good because it's slightly better when you add salt and pepper
terrible argument
you can't call it a 10/10 if you haven't played vanilla in 10 years
I have, I played the base vanilla Skyrim the month it came out. it's not a ten out of ten.
I basically have lel
I just found out half the one handed perks were pointless because I saw it in some youtube video
streamlined stats into hp mp and stamina
removed unique weapon skills in favor of one handed or two handed weapons
dumbed down the magic schools
no more magically picking locks or levitation
no spears no hand to hand
mc is a jack of all trades no more specialized builds
all the guilds accept you regardless
there are a bunch of other reasons but I don't have all day to list them
Cope
>Cope
ah the last line of defense for a homosexual zoomer on troony pills with no way of refuting an argument
It was pretty unoptimized on PS3. It becomes more unstable the farther into a playthrough you go.
I assume it sucks on switch too. But on PC with mods? absolute king game.
I don't like a lot of the writing, it could've been better. Especially thieves and mages guild. More choices would've been nice, like joining the silver hand. Civil war was kinda bugged even on PC.
magic doesnt feel fun like it should, idk. Not gonna elaborate.
this. Although making builds is fun. I've always had beef with level scaling in RPGs, I think it'd be cooler if it was like Morrowind or the Requiem mod where dangerous areas are dangerous.
All that aside, frick yea OP. Its a 10/10. I've been playing it for years
based argument. For the first time ever a food analogy on Ganker actually nailed what I've struggled to explain to moronic autists for years. Games exist to be played and mods can alter your experience. The existence of a modding scene is ALWAYS a positive. (moronic because they cant figure out mod installation, autistic because they think of videogames as a criterion collection that should ban mods from the conversation)
If they want mods to become more popular they need to make them not a PITA.
Salt and pepper make things better but you don't have to heat them for 25 minutes then sift them through burlap onto the steak. Plus if you add the salt before the pepper the steak tastes like shit because of your load order.
Either Beth or modders need to sort that shit out.
>can’t kill Delphine
>90% of dungeons are copy and pasted
>survival mode is too oppressive
>lockpicking is not a passive skill
>dragons are annoying to fight (even if you have dragonrend)
The lockpicking mini games of oblivion and skyrim are pure soul
Lockpicking itself is fine. But you have to be legitimately moronic to spend skill points on it. And Fallout 4 solution of making high level locks unpickable if you don’t have a certain skill is moronic
If someone doesn't die in one hit then melee combat immediately devolves into click-spam
Anything open world is automatically imperfect.
lots of problems but what bothers me the most is hearing the same voice actors so fricking often. many times even hearing the same person as multiple quest NPCs in the same quest.
>killcam system can take you out of combat to kill you in an in game cutscene where you would have survived if you had control of your character
>magic has very few direct damage and is pretty weak in that regard other than that one perk that makes it so you stun every time.
>writing isnt that great with nords who live in the woods saying they thought spriggands were just a fairy tale, despite them being all over the place and their body parts being sold in every town, lacks consistency.
Obscure numbers that make no sense. What does the armor value mean? How much is good enough? Is there a cap? No way to know ingame, you have to go check wiki, guides or youtube.
Hidden mechanics/engine bugs like height affecting movement speed for no reason meaning a male Alt is the fastest while a female Bret is the slowest.
Exploitable crafting loop.
Poorly designed perk system, where some trees don't have 10 perks and some have way over 30.
Crits count their damage from the base weapon damage. After all this time since release.
Stupid AI that forgets there is a dead body sitting at the table with them. Must have been the rats.
I'll stop here but I can go on and on. Skyrim is a technical mess.
>has to install 500 mods just to make it playable
I won't, It's a 10/10 for morons
>hurrdurr mobility bad
>fun is when you can barely move at all
first person melee combat sucks, the only fun build in this game is stealth archer
People who defend Skyrim never say why they like it
It is an objective 10/10
Still better than anything Beth released ever since, only rivaled by Morrowind (and FNV) itself.
> Morrowind and FNV
The hipsters are in rare form today. Waiting for the Daggerfall and Van Buren hipster to pop in and escalate things.
I became the most powerful mage in the land at level 8 after playing about 4 hours. the pacing is legitimately poor when compared with Morrowind (not using exploits).
Bad acting.
Bad story.
Bad combat.
Ugly as sin.
it's full of bugs like any Bethesda game
Perks suck. I have to mod them to be fun and not just x% damage increases.
You have to install all the coom mods separately instead of it coming with them. I didn't even know there were pornographic main menu and splash screen replacers until, like, yesterday.
It's 10/10 if you're a moron tasteless zoomer born after facebook went live on the internet so no need to be so defensive
The shear amount of angst in this post is palpable.
Ui is trash and main story suck. Its an 8/10
I love my skyrim dressup dolls!
ever post in teslg?
It's a mediocre roleplaying game. Almost none of the characters have any depth. Even prominent characters like Aela have 7 or so prompts after which you will never be able to have an unique interaction with her again.
Starfield will never even begin to compare to Skyrim
every dungeon is a linear loop with no side paths, only "side" rooms
irl you can get lost in the average person's house, so this particular aspect kills immersion
its boring
No argonian wives.
>inb4 derkeethus
Skyrim is the best rpg of all time.
Linear approach to quests and story, barely any rpg(not exclusive to Skyrim though)
Abysmal writing in guild questlines, particularly the College(can be somewhat improved with mods)
Civil war is barely tangible ingame despite being a huge deal that tears the province apart in the lore
t. 1400 hours on steam
