You wouldn't get it.
It's a mix of italians memes, 40years of trash tv, politics, famous people from second-rate channels etc etc and the protagonist speaks in a heavy southern-central accent.
That's what kills me... It sucks knowing that every language has tons of incredibly great works of humor that requires intensive cultural knowledge that I just won't ever understand.

Popping in to ask, I installed the latest GZdoom and tried the meme house wad and my FPS was constantly dipping from 60 to low 30s as I walked around the house. Is GZdoom fricked up now or is the wad itself a piece of shit? I didn't have any intensive settings on
it's a combination of 1) people are attempting to do things with the doom engine that they shouldn't be attempting and 2) even within those limitations, gzdoom is still slower than other ports at rendering the exact same thing
the gist of 1 is that the geometry is recreated every single frame (EXTREMELY slow, you just don't notice it usually because of low poly count) and although this can be alleviated by caching things on the GPU, the majority of ports do not do this

i can deal with the first hub but holy frick i hate the second one
it's too fricking big and if you decide to sell the pithound you use to ride you're fricked because the hub is massive and the level entrances are a bit away from eachother
the levels are gud tho
It's not that good but most of the real outrage is from butthurt trannies jealous of its influence and success. Vietdoom is legit great though, shame he never finished it.

Maybe it's a broad question but are there any good WADs that's more focused on exploration or is more open ended than your usual Doom styled levels?
Why would you want to play Doom for exploration?
Literally my house, the wad op was reeeing about because it's popular
that is not a wad for exploring, it's annoying as frick trying to figure out where to go.
It's not bad at all if you aren't a brainlet. Took me a handful of hours and I never felt truly stuck.

I hate it because it outgrew its initial premise and became a bloated mess that began negatively influencing other mods.
Ironically, I think Project Brutality is OK because it embraces the feature overload from the start.
