    Voice acting is expensive.

Localization would be a nightmare, Remember than Game freak can’t even have all the Pokémon in the game.

It doesn't even need to be full voice acting just some small grunts or words would be fine.

we dont need another thing taking expenses away from the actual point of the games. plus, 99% of dubs (which is what i assume youre asking for) are shit and the only people who want them have 0 taste. much better to have a silent game than a cringe voice acted one. if you want to hear the characters talk just watch the anime or play master sex

Why do you think its budget of all things cucking pokemon.
Its manpower and an extreme amount of mismanagement(lets just make the interns make our flagship game in the last year t. gamefreak), not poor gamefreak.

if they have enough money why arent they putting it into graphics with textures that dont look like a 3rd grader stole them off pinterest

The interns don't know how to use shaders or quality check texturework, please understand.
You can put as much money as you want into shitty workers, you'll get shit work. Pouring money doesn't make a good product without a focus point.

what makes you think nintendo would hire a lying cuckservative whore?

I know we meme about Masuda, but he did give a clear answer on why they don't like VA.

1- He doesn't like it when you play a game or watch a movie and the voice of the character does not match the one he imagined, he thinks it feels lame
2- Coordinating good voice acting quality control across all different versions is a development challenge they don't wanna deal with

      That’s autistic as fuck
Glad he’s not working on the games anymore!

And he's completely right. Nintendo as a publisher is pretty bad at this, the times that they put genuine effort into making the English dubs of their games sound good are grossly outnumbered by the times where the English dubs sound decent at best and game-ruining at worst. I'm still in awe of how utterly bad Breath of the Wild's performances are, and that was a flagship title. There's no way Pokemon would get better treatment unless the stars align and you get something like Xenoblade 3.

      Based
This is why I watch animes completely muted because most characters sound like shit

Nice strawman attempt, pokemon characters never needed voice acting not to be mute, they always had text boxes to talk

He has a point, when I used to play pokemon masters I immediately turned off english voices because they sounded so bad to me, japanese isn’t that much better either with some of the characters

This. Voice acting is for babies that can't read and have no imagination

Based Masuda. Voice acting is for cucks and chuds.

    >nintendo offices can already manage VA shit
    >every region with localization has an experienced ashnime dub VA pool, casting director, ADR director and recording booths
    >20-ish characters excluding classes with barely any lines
    >script is already there
just throw some cash at it

You perfectly know that as usual, they wouldn't use the ashnime voices

Why do people want voice acting? Are your brains so desiccated that you can't imagine a voice?

the best part is that they put voice acting in the trailers and announcements but not the actual games
if they don't want voice acting that's fine, just put actual audio instead of "*clap clap clap*" for fucks sake

It's so weird how they have all these fully animated cutscenes with human characters, and everyone is just silent like some weird mime show. No VA worked for Gen 1-5, but if they want muh fully rendered cutscenes, VA work is long overdue

      >It's so weird how they have all these fully animated cutscenes with human characters
VA isn't a necessity, even in this case
