It does not make sense that right after having kidnapped the former god kings daughter, you leave to: go on a date, steal a car, meet an old rockstar, invade a maelstrum club, perform a concert, and take a selfie with uscracks.
Game is basically about the side stories, but the main quest, is like 5 missions long.

Doing her quests and seeing her finally get out of NC and live a happier life is a perfect and simple ending for her. It feels grounded and that's all it needed to be.

I've not played the base game as I was waiting at least for 2.0 and/or PL before starting, but I've always thought it s shitty that 1) They put PL as an intermediary instead of truly taking place after the mainline games endings and B) they seemingly only added ONE ending and all the others are the same. The only thing I don't know is if the "old" endings have been significantly expanded or edited because of PL, but especially if they haven't then that's very disappointing.
It would be forgivable if there was going to be another expansion Blood and Wine style after this, but supposedly that is not the case andthey just fricked off . There are SO many way they could go after each of the endings I was hopin to see in PL or other expansions, but frick come on while a single new ending is better than nothing that doesn't really make it sufficient, especially if you basically lower the stakes with a side-story expansion where there can't be any major changes because it still needs to plop you out back ready to do the last part of the base game.
im on PS5 ive got a bug where if i go by the stadium entrance and save after that my save will be corrupted. also new saves just get corrupted sometimes if you're nowhere near there. i have to keep checking quick saves to see if any progress i made is usable.

If you understand the themes of the story, you'll realize that the assault on Arasaka tower with Rogue is just you becoming more like Johnny Silverhand, losing yourself and your future to petty pointless revenge that does nothing. Joining Arasaka strips you of your soul, turning you into a shell of flesh that has no real chance of survival. Only by joining the Aldecaldos, saving Johnny, and riding off into the sunset with them (either with or without Judy, depending on who your V is) will you finally leave the cancer that is Night City, becoming your own person focused on your own needs. Having a family that you trust, living a life not surrounded by advertisements and the influence of corporate control, able to live free. It's why that ending is the only one where Misty says you have a good future ahead of you, even if the game says you might only have 6 months to live. The game is incredibly spiritual, and the chances that V survives are greater. Johnny, Arasaka, neither are killing your brain anymore, and you can finally recover. Your final act is casting aside the bullet that nearly ended you, moving on.
The ending is going in a blaze of glory... frick family, Panam/Avocados and Misty. Where here to be a legend in NC

His body tucked away in some oil field, his band used to prop up Samurai shirts. Being a legend in Night City makes you the biggest poser of all time, even Johnny sees it by the end. Rogue saw it, Morgan Blackhand saw it, Spider Murphy too. You chase pure ego, and in the end it's your achilles heel.

You need to upgrade tier to see upgrades, go with Arasaka until you can get Tetratech

Clothes is transmog now, you get armor with cyberware. You can only reduce cooldown from medikits and grenades (or get refund if you kill with some perks)

Cyberpsycho's are high tier combats, you can't do it at level 1... the most viable level/gear for the first cyberpsycho is 25+

Johnny's character is perfectly in line with who he is. He's a deserter and he keeps trying to justify his worldview to you, but ends up admitting that he was too eager to toss the people who cared about him into the flames to make his dream of a corpo-less world a reality. It's been a problem he's been wrestling both in the original RPG, as well as how he behaves in the base game towards people like Rogue, or the fan who he calls a coward for not doing shit. He simply sees the government and corpos to be one and the same, which isn't actually wrong considering Myers is the president of the NUSA and CEO of Militech, and Soboru was the CEO of Arasaka and Emperor of Japan. He feels guilt because he can't trust anyone, save for sound technicians and V after a while. He's terrified of being wrong, but ends up admitting he was wrong in the end.
Also, getting across Dogtown was a lot of fun with air dash. If you have to drive though, it probably sucks.

I agree, however I recently replied the voodoo boy part and this time went with the stealth approach (took all the stealth augs, cool skills) and it felt nice how much easier it was compared to the first time when I went in guns blazing, even stealth killed placide later, after the mall mission and johnny stuff was done. So the game is not completely devoid of joy kinda.

V was never meant to be a long-term protagonist. They were competent enough to write characters people like, but their earlier incompetence leaving a false ending in the base game came back because now people just feel like they wasted 3 years.
