Honestly I still argue that NMH3 wasn't made with Suda as in much control as you'd be made to think. Between TSA and RBG it felt like it was really building up to something just for it to end up a wet fart.
THIGH HIGH SOCKS ARE MY
ABSOLUTE
TERRITORY
GO ON AND DROOL
THE OTAKU CANNOT RESIST
somethingsomething
YOU THINK YOU'RE A TIGER IN DISGUISE
DREAM ON YOU GOD
DAMN
PUSSY
Honestly when you really boil it down, the most memorable and redeemable parts of the whole series are the boss combat and the Masafumi Takada music. Everything outside of that is garbage.
It just feels a little more like a pandering action game to me, all the way down to Travis's character model being more generically cool. And it does this with levels that can really drag and with gameplay that isn't especially better than the first game's.
NMH3 has its problems and it's wanky in its own way, but it's funnier and more fun to play to me. It didn't live up to a decade plus of expectations or Travis Strikes Again existing to nurse peoples' NMH boners, but I think it got a lot right that NMH2 fell flat on.
5/10 is average, 6/10 is above average, 7/10 is good, 8/10 is great, 9/10 is amazing and 10/10 is absolutely flawless. None of the No More Heroes games are a 7 or 10, they're a 5. A 6 at the absolute most.
1 is peak
2 is peak, but frick the stunning
3 has good gameplay but is a disappointment
The spinoff is fun though, the PC version is bugged and it took a long time for the soft lock to be removed
I forced myself to beat three and I can safely say I hate the franchise now. Two almost did it, but the different playable characters and amazing soundtrack saved it. Three is slop all the way through. Two at least has some illusion of it being a cohesive game with levels.
Wait till you get to 3
This, at the very least 2 has a fantastic OST and some good bosses, 3 is utter shit down to the core
Yeah the second game has a great fricking soundtrack

>Reaper, Reaper, that's what people call me
Well Ganker, did you memorize the song?
Catchy as hell.

It's better than 1 and 3
nah, 2 is ok. 3 on the other hand is a disgrace.
I got bored halfway through, remember it feeling like it lost its edge from the first one almost too polished in a way
1 is better
The first game is better but 2's inferiority is astronomically exaggerated. The game is like a 7.5/10 compared to 1's 8.

it's no 1, but bad? not exactly.
NO MORE HEROES
IT'S KILLED BE OR BE KILLED
I don't like it as much as NMH1 or NMH3 but it's still decent in my opinion. And doesn't everybody like "Philistine"?
No more heroes has no bad games.

I really liked the concept, the game removes many things, like individual sword moves, but the bosses are fun.
Also
Travis' design is cool, I like his hair more in 2, his pants as well.
>after years of catching shit people are finally with me that 1 is far and away the best
VINDICATED
Killer is Dead fricking rocks btw. I wish we got 2 sequels to that instead

Are you guys ready to see Suda in the Direct tomorrow?
No why
None of Suda51's games are any good in terms of action. You don't play them for the airtight action mechanics. You play them for the whacky shit.
Best track in the game, possibly in the series.
Nah, there's pleather for breakfast, and shoegazer watched the stars
I got maybe 1/4 through the first game but I lost interest.
It was kinda dogshit tbh
I loved nmh1 and then tried nmh2 and instantly got filtered by how shitty the combat felt. It's like they were purposely trying to make it feel bad
NMH2 is 5/10.
The OST is 12/10. There was a clear talent imbalance in the making of this game.
NMh3 is the most fun 7 out 10 game I played
Should I just skip to the 3rd
