Yeah, it's pretty good. To the degree that I ripped out my old PC and put the new one in it when I built a new one.
Mine is the FD R5. It's literally just a monolithic black box. Fans are pretty quiet. There's a foam padding inside for further sound insulation. There's a dust tray at the bottom you can pull out to clean it. Only potential issue is if you're putting in a frickhuge GPU there might not be enough space in some models where HD trays go.
Yeah, I bought the humongous server one too so it's easy to open and frick with.
It's about as few lights as I could possibly find on a case. It has various options depending on if you want various drives or not. They're simple, but not cheaply made.
I've done all my builds in Fractal cases just because of how all around solid they are. I did my latest build in a Define R7 and I really like the case. It can be reconfigured into a server mode and they give changeable top so you can choose better airflow or silence.
Got an Define R5, I like the case overall and will likely use the same case when I upgrade. However, the front IOs don't work too well (the two USB 3 ports register as USB 2, and the headphone jack has noise. For me it makes more sense to just run extensions from the mobo anyway, as I have the tower on my desk, so it's not a problem for me.
The new ones seem to be priced pretty high, however.

Do you like them? I’d much rather have a minimalist black box that sits out of the way in a corner than some gaudy RGB turboautist strobe light build

OK that's actually pretty cool. By far the best system integrator case I've ever seen.
micro-ATX Fractal Design Focus G can easily fit a 4090 and latest AMD CPU. I even 3D printed a bracket in to the 5.25" slot to hold all of my SSD's so there's more space at the bottom.
Asus AP201 mATX Case
CoolerMaster NR200 for ITX
Formd T1 premium ITX
There's actually a lot of ITX Options
For ATX, Pure Base 500, Fractal North (This is probably the best looking case imo), H7 Flow
If you don't want TG, let me know
What about the pure Base 600? I think it seems even better but the fan switch seems dodgy apparently - I heard the switch can position in dead air between settings and literally stop, which is the stupidest shit I've ever heard
My Corsair Airflow 4000D is solid black (tempered glass side panel, though) and also comes in white. Homey has the ASUS TUF case, which I should have got because it's wider.
I have the white one, it fits my 7900XTX easily but I'm air cooling so no front radiator. I removed the drive bays along the bottom and have one sata ssd in the bracket on the backside. really nice roomy case and keeps pretty cool, and easy enough to work in.
I had to get custom cables
Then had to get a replacement one cause it was broken
It runs cool enough for sure but I'd be tempted to run it without panels during summer here
Im sure you can, you'd probably just change it in the nzxts software, I think that AIOs the kraken z63 or whatever; its not my build though, mines about 200% more spaghetti than this one, I just grabbed a nice image from google (theres the most awful bend on my radiator tubing).
ITX Gang
I really love ITX, I couldn't really imagine doing a build any other way if anything happened to mine
I was so sad when I first saw these that there was literally nothing at all wrong with my current case (the one in the OP). Modern case design is so nice.
Came to post this... I have no reason to upgrade my H510 but I fricking wish I had so I could buy this thing. I'm on Ryzen 5800X right now, is it worth it for me to upgrade to Ryzen 7000 or should I just jump into Intel XEON W? I need to have around 20 docker containers and 256GB of ram would be based, specially ECC

>Why the frick are you using full size ATX if you have one GPU?
You know you can plug more things into a PCI-E right? In fact having a full sized ATX means you can keep up longer as hardware progresses because you can just use the bandwidth of the port, plus if a port on your mainboard fails you can just add it back.
Literally why would you get that? The only 20gbps devices out there are M.2 NVME to USB-C carry cases. I bet that thing doesn't even carry DP Alt Mode signal.
Get a Thunderbird 3 or USB4 card instead, which will let you use monitors and hubs for extra connectivity.
I don't want to go back to vertical cases after building my current ITX. Mother boards and cases are long past due for a design overhaul. Graphics cards are the most expensive part of the computer and they're still mounted like an accessory.

>(Cases might need some modding)
Bullshit. Unless you live in Australia or Arizona front panel fans are a meme and you don't need them just a beefy CPU cooler and one exhaust fan.
My mind was still on the IBM 5150
You definitely need to mod it to hold standard boards
If I'm gonna build a sleeper build, I'm doing it in shit older than 90s
Also the case you posted is modded you fricking moron
>my walley said no
People give away beige cases for free by the dozen that you can build whatever you want in, and there's USB adapters for IBM keyboards.
Can you still get a brand new old factor pc? I still use dvds and cd's, also the new factor has the shitty trash glass window panel. I also would like to put an internal memory card reader. My old case has issues with the headphone jack and one usb port is burnt.
I need a good steel case that I would like for it to fit a graphics card in the full-moron land we are going where cards are xbawks hueg
any suggestions
I have fans already, my budget is at least as much as I'm willing to spend on a mobo and CPU. Tempered glass is meh as I'm not a fan of RGB but I could handle it if I need to
LanCool 216 (Probably best all around)
Fractal Pop (Fractal has a shit ton of basically black boxes so if you just want that, have a look there)
Deepcool CH370 for mATX
Asus AP201 Prime for mATX
Phanteks 360A
Fractal Torrent
NZXT H5 Flow
Be Quiet! 500/500DX
Just double check graphics card compatibility but it should fit most cards
I wish our moderators did their job.

NOTHING.

>"Frick this game. It has MTX." >You know it's all cosmetic, and you don't have to buy them, right? >"REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"
Frickhuge, no branding, it's just a big fat monolith of a case. The only problem I have with it is there's not enough space at its top for an Arctic AIO radiator which sucks.
I have $250 left over form my monthly expenses this month, what can I buy to make a starter pc that I can upgrade to halfway decent later? I mainly emulate not trying to play big budget new shit but I want it to be strong enough to play Kirby Forgotten Land in handheld at 30fps.
$250 for a full pc?
Buy a used HP prebuilt or Dell (Probably around the 6th gen intel i5 or i7) and throw in a used graphics card like a GTX 1650 or something
People are dumping early 2000s PCs all the time
If you want a modern case with 5.25"drives slots there's the fractal pop
Corsair carbide line is older but has them too (a lot of those super budget cases that have been around for a few years have 5.25" drives slots)
Can't help with finding a pink case with 5.25"drive slots
Honestly Alienware Aurora R5 case is my favourite.
Its not just a square box like in OPs pic but its also not overblown chink shit.
The RGB is minimal and nice.
Best looking case imo
>be me >get matx board >all good >look at cases >only ones of intrest are full size or mid towers
frick it, i'll just put the matx board in it. not like it's gonna perform any different
You've got two options. Featureless monolith with a few vent holes or mesh on all sides and a can of compressed air for the monthly dusting. I'm a Fractal Design fan but Antec's got some neat ones too.
The RGB stuff is mostly optional when you're shopping for fans, RAM and cooling. It's built-in on a bunch of the gaming motherboards but you can turn that off.
The only tip I can give is to pay really close attention to where your motherboard's power connectors are, and make sure your case uses the right headers (a lot of cases for sale right now barely support USB3, or even offer the amount of ports you need to max out a typical board's headers).
NZXT H510 is perfect for me.
fit my 3080ti, watercooler, radiator, and 3 other fans fine
I wish my EVGA 3080ti wasn't super RGB bullshitty but I don't care enough to turn it off in settings
let me pretend this is just a general PC thread for a moment, are those powered air dusters any good? I'm getting sick of using cans of compressed air to clean my crap.
I dunno about the vacuum type but the blower type can work well. the one I have is a Fulljoin Air Duster. came with multiple attachments and has 3 speeds. I still used canned air on my graphics card heatsink though.
wondering the same, canned air is so bad i sprayed a hole can of air at one patch of dust and burst out laughing cus it id absolutely frick all
I dunno about the vacuum type but the blower type can work well. the one I have is a Fulljoin Air Duster. came with multiple attachments and has 3 speeds. I still used canned air on my graphics card heatsink though.
I wanna know too, i was thinking of getting a clone of makita hand held cause at-least you know it won't be super chink trash.
I can’t stand the clear glass, especially since it’s often more expensive to not have rgb shit than to have it in some parts. It’d get so damn distracting having a lightshow in the peripheral view, spinning fans and all.
I have a 5000d. If I don’t want lights I simply turn them off and viola, I now have an all black PC case. Some of you dummies don’t realize you can just turn RGB off or set it to a static color like white or purple.
You don’t need an account , just the armoury crate download. I have Corsair fans so everything works with icue including the ram and graphics card. I have a current top end PC so I don’t have any issues with armoury crate bogging my PC down but I guess that could be a problem for many.
I'm saying I wouldn't doubt Asus would break icue compatibility while also forcing you to make an account in their shitty program just to use the RGB you paid for.
Also no one who doesn't like or want RGB should ever buy parts with it, otherwise the entire market thinks that everyone wants that shit and now you can't find parts without it.
I want the one on the right (Corsair Carbide Air 540), but I got the one on the left (Corsair Crystal 680x). Realistically, I could've bought a regular case since I bought my PC all at once from microcenter, I really wanted the "cool" looking one.

Idk, modding cases looks fun
Was looking to mod an IBM 5150 to fit some modern parts with a new panel for the monitor

>If I'm gonna build a sleeper build, I'm doing it in shit older than 90s
Needless effort, 2000's sleepers are the most kino.
I just think these are neat
Dual Floppy sex
>destroying a 5150 for your shitty vanity project
die
that poor cpu insta thermal throttled worse than any laptop
the case looks great but is in no way functional for any type of watercooling
>sleeper
you get a 2 second chuckle at a lan party then it melts apart
smart
>my walley said no
People give away beige cases for free by the dozen that you can build whatever you want in, and there's USB adapters for IBM keyboards.
I got the antec P10 and have been quite happy with it other than the fact it doesn't have a reset button because????????
>want to change my case
>too lazy to unplug everything out
Can you still get a brand new old factor pc? I still use dvds and cd's, also the new factor has the shitty trash glass window panel. I also would like to put an internal memory card reader. My old case has issues with the headphone jack and one usb port is burnt.
Get the Fractal Pop
Has 5.25" bays then get a memory card reader expansion card
ITXgays really pay more to get smaller components with less connectivity
I don't get it
And shit thermals
yea that too, which basically means worse performance too
Part of the enjoyment is working around the compromises but yeah, it's definitely not optimal
I need a good steel case that I would like for it to fit a graphics card in the full-moron land we are going where cards are xbawks hueg
any suggestions
What's your budget? And do you like tempered glass? Also do you have fans already?
This has nothing to do with video games.
NOTHING.
Go to fricking >>>Ganker and dont shit up this board with PC part autism.
I wish homosexuals didn't exist.
Your wiener has nothing to do with pussy.
NOTHING.
Go to fricking
and dont shit up this board with homosexuality.
>BG3 threads that get filled with cuck and BBC porn are on-topic
>computer building threads are off-topic
I wish wojak Black folk would get the rope
Ganker hates every thread about pcs only for games
There's 200 other threads on here you could go to but you're here being a giant gay. Stop whining
>NOOOOOO STOP MAKING THREADS THAT ARE ON TOPIC
>THINK OF THE HECKING PORN AND BBC POSTERS
>THE POOR FFXVI AND BG3 SCHIZORINOS
>THEY COULD HAVE MADE THE SAME THREADS THAT THEY HAVE MADE 2369 TIMES BEFORE IF IT WERENT FOR YOU
I’d frick Dasha
Oh so you want another BG3 thread then? Shut your gay mouth
The note RGB the better and more fun. I don’t want my rig looking it came from a bank secretary’s desk
People here are autistic to an extreme.
>"I want parts without RGB"
>You know you can just turn RGB off, right?
>"REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"
>"Frick this game. It has MTX."
>You know it's all cosmetic, and you don't have to buy them, right?
>"REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"
I like the NR600P
Frickhuge, no branding, it's just a big fat monolith of a case. The only problem I have with it is there's not enough space at its top for an Arctic AIO radiator which sucks.
I wish cases aren't so huge. But the components within are huge too.
I have $250 left over form my monthly expenses this month, what can I buy to make a starter pc that I can upgrade to halfway decent later? I mainly emulate not trying to play big budget new shit but I want it to be strong enough to play Kirby Forgotten Land in handheld at 30fps.
You just want a case or do you want a full starter PC?
starter pc don't care about the case color or design whatever functions.
$250 for a full pc?
Buy a used HP prebuilt or Dell (Probably around the 6th gen intel i5 or i7) and throw in a used graphics card like a GTX 1650 or something
>GTX 1650
Based, that's my card, might not be the best, but it is serving me well and didn't cost me a kidney.
Fractal design is the only case I've bought for the last like 15 years
>Want a pink Case
>Choices are overdesigned shit
>No 5.25 bay
>Want a beige case
>They don't exist anymore
People are dumping early 2000s PCs all the time
If you want a modern case with 5.25"drives slots there's the fractal pop
Corsair carbide line is older but has them too (a lot of those super budget cases that have been around for a few years have 5.25" drives slots)
Can't help with finding a pink case with 5.25"drive slots
>Buy a frick old prebuilt to use as a PC case that might not even fit your components
No
>Modern case with 5.25 slots
Are all black.
Beige = Frick old at this point
Closest I can find is Black and Pink
>Beige = Frick old at this point
They should make new ones.
Honestly Alienware Aurora R5 case is my favourite.
Its not just a square box like in OPs pic but its also not overblown chink shit.
The RGB is minimal and nice.
Best looking case imo
I've just been using this 30 quid dusty piece of shit for years, it does the job, it has generic zoomer rgbs all over but u just turned them off
I didn't even attach the file, what a homosexual
Behold
>be me
>get matx board
>all good
>look at cases
>only ones of intrest are full size or mid towers
frick it, i'll just put the matx board in it. not like it's gonna perform any different
I'm getting sick of using cans of compressed air to clean my crap.
wondering the same, canned air is so bad i sprayed a hole can of air at one patch of dust and burst out laughing cus it id absolutely frick all
I dunno about the vacuum type but the blower type can work well. the one I have is a Fulljoin Air Duster. came with multiple attachments and has 3 speeds. I still used canned air on my graphics card heatsink though.
I wanna know too, i was thinking of getting a clone of makita hand held cause at-least you know it won't be super chink trash.
>Camouflaged
>Vacuum Cleaner
gave me a chuckle
Thermals are for losers, aesthetic is what really matters.
Fractal North my beloved.
>t. Riva 128 user
>Why yes, I am the ubermensch against the zoomer hordes. How could you tell?
based. covering the components>no lighting>single color lighting>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>lgbt lighting
based, got this exact case, shame I could only get one with a dark tint cover since the solid covers were all sold out.
Cases with glass panels are for insecure people whose sole personality is being an owner of a 4090
That's why the chinese have swooped in with a literal fish tank to answer their needs
I can’t stand the clear glass, especially since it’s often more expensive to not have rgb shit than to have it in some parts. It’d get so damn distracting having a lightshow in the peripheral view, spinning fans and all.
>not going for a BLOATMAXX case
Bequiet pure base 500. No dumb window either.
I have a 5000d. If I don’t want lights I simply turn them off and viola, I now have an all black PC case. Some of you dummies don’t realize you can just turn RGB off or set it to a static color like white or purple.
Do you really need to play a string instrument in order for it to be turned off?
Good luck when they make it so you need a fricking armory crate account or whatever just to turn that shit off.
Thoughts on the Pop Silent?
Got this a long time ago. Not the prettiest, but it's big enough for upgrades.
I have it. I like it. Only issue I had was some of my shitty sata cables couldn't bend hard enough to cram into the hard drive area.
Define 7
Hey that's my case
Throw out the figurines and get some toxoplasmosis treatment
I want the one on the right (Corsair Carbide Air 540), but I got the one on the left (Corsair Crystal 680x). Realistically, I could've bought a regular case since I bought my PC all at once from microcenter, I really wanted the "cool" looking one.
Right looks way better tbh
I know, I folded.
What kind of GPUs were you gonna slap in that bad boy?
I wanted to make a 3d rendering rig with the one on the right but they don't sell those anymore.
I have a Dark Base Pro. it came with some LED strips, but I just didn't include them in the build.
Why do morons have a mental break over leds?
>Doesn't respond to bright flashing lights
Yep he's one of them
>no mesh
Enjoy your dogshit temperatures and massive amounts of dust.
It's chink aiflow focused case, I like it. Just have to clean it regularly.
Fractal norf looks like pure sexo
Only led i use is the ram one to make it look like a comfy room heater
