At this point, you're better off just delving deeper into the Beat 'Em Up genre. Indivisible is about one of the only games made in the past 5+ years that even tackles the hybrid fightan RPG style of gameplay (that I can recall)
Did you ever play Guacamelee series (you want Super Turbo Championship Edition, NOT the Gold Edition, despite the name its older with less content) ? Its not a RPG, but a metroidvania that has more complex beat em up/fighting style combat and can even be played co-op 2 person (first game STCE) or 4 person (2nd game). Also has some pretty difficult platforming especially in the secret areas necessary for the good endings and the various challenge modes.
Second anon you responded to and yeah I 100% both versions of that game, I haven't touched 2 though I heard it doubled down on the "humor" the same way Borderlands keeps doing and got turned off
2's not so bad in that way. If you liked 1, then give it a shot. Some of the old memes and stuff from 1 (which frankly looking back are just nostalgic at this point) were not repeated for 2. I mean, there's still chickens and a giant cactus, but if you meant like the meme signs and whatnot there's less of that. If you do get 2 (and its ultra cheap during the Steam sale) make sure you get the 2 DLC expansions. one adds 3 new playable characters, the other is basically the "El Infierno" version here with its own sorta ending and secrets, a challenge mode with a lot of stuff to unlock and new content.
LISA games are great, but I don't think they're quite as active as what was described above. They're closer to the Earthbound or Mario RPG/PaperMario style so yeah there's some fighting game combos, but Indivisible is a bit more active I'd think? Still definitely worth a shot with Lisa games thoughif you're up for them.

Take a look at Worldless if you liked Guacamelee. It doesn't do nearly as well weaving the fighting into the platforming but it's trying some weird shit with real-time combos where you take turns attacking and defending.
Never played Project X Zone but the 'Tales of' games are all RPG but fightan combat.
yes, the battle system feels incomplete, there's not enough moves or combo lines to justify not using the same 3-piece combo through the whole game, also the shit barely has RPG mechanics since there's no EXP system and the characters' progression is tied to story progression and some sort of ascension quests, idk it's been years since I played it.
