Because Gow 2018 is much longer than any of the original games. But to say that the ratio for gameplay is better is false. The amount of cutscenes in the originals pale in comparison, not to mention all the downtime filled with dialogue

Which I never understood the purpose of. I get wanting to mash to convey feeling of excersion. But why is so set to a limit that is actually physically hard to do, and straight up impossible for many people?
If it only needed 2 O presses per second then the exact same feeling would be conveyed. Everyone would still mash as hard as they could, they just wouldn’t have to shift how they hold controller and tense up entire arm vibrating their whole body.
I remember as a kid needing to ask help to my mom mash O to defeat the Kraken for me because i simply could not do it. I also struggled a lot with that part where you need to mash O to take a skull of a dead body which was so hard for some reason.
those 'platforming' sections where kratos would climb around and fight enemies at the same time were more annoying imo, so slow and annoying. ironically enough though, there's a few more traditional platforming segments in pandora's temple that are pretty exciting, since you can actually fall and aren't stuck jamming the blades in the wall and moving on a 2d plane.
consequently pandora's temple is also my favourite area in the whole series, granted I haven't yet played the PSP games or ascensions, no ragnarok either.

I have a pretty decent computer and I wasn't able to come close to emulating it to a workable version. I got like 20fps and then it'd crash. It's just not there yet. I checked the compatibility list for the emulator and like none of the actual games people want to enjoy are playable.

The remasters of 1, 2 and 3 are half baked at best. I don't know who was in charge of porting III to PS4, but Bluepoint Games was the studio behind the remasters of I and II, and they did a mediocre job, unlike Ready at Dawn. The remasters of CoO and GoS are perfect.
While Chains of Olympus is a bit on the shorter side Ghost of Sparta is a better title than GoWIII, you can't change my mind.
CoO and GoS have some scenes that directly contradict the nu-GOW narrative, I'm not surprised
Sony also is working under this delusion that PS5 is a premium only console for the moustache-waxing consumer. Scaling those psp games to the ultra4k console is probably not what they want to spend time or money on. I only played the first NuGoW but as far as I remember Kratos doesn't reflect about his dead family at all, only Zeus and Athena. Since Chains of Olympus is about his daughter and Ghost of Sparta about his brother it might be a bad fit in the current narrative.
Chains of Olympus didn't invent his daughter. Her and his wife were integral from the very first game. It would be impossible to remaster any of them if they wanted to avoid his past family. He also talks about his family and his brother in Ragnarok
