psp sucked and wasn't even strong enough to emulate GBA accurately. who gives a flying frick. only thing it had going for it was being able to play playstation 1 games at a fricking shit resolution on too small a screen. dpad was shit, the little stick was shit, the face buttons were shit, have of psp's in existence have contact problems with the cheap shit pads they used under the buttons, the screen was shielded with plastic that scratched if you looked at it wrong, the speakers were horrible, the battery life was dogshit, the proprietary memory card horseshit was stupid and thankfully easily bypassed, the headphone jack sounded like shit too, and UMD was the dumbest fricking thing i have ever seen.
Black person i have both of them. it just so happens the psp had FRICKING DICK ALL to play to stand on it's own. you can not refute this. literally everyone who owned was was surprised it even lasted as long as it did.
> psp sucked and wasn't even strong enough to emulate GBA accurately.
He starts off with something so irrelevant to the actual release of the console that it’s not worth reading anymore. No one bought this when it came out to emulate GBA games.
As a revisionist take it’s still stupid.
Trash post.
That little stick was perfect and the best feature in retrospect after I bought a vita and realized how easily your fingers can slip off of those. It had a nice traction design, great movement capabilities, and it was snug in the shell so you never had to worry about dust or anything getting in and causing drift. It was at worst a bit stiff and in an awkward location but you can play games like tenkaichi tag team and immediately see how well it translated to even the faster paced games. If it felt weird on a game that was just on the individual dev
>A bunch of made up bullshit
The screen was a great size. Everything was clearly visible and it allowed for decent amounts of detail on a hand held. The d-pad was large and responsive which made it great for the fighting games on the system or for games with a lot of inventory management. Battery life was something I literally never noticed. The front side of my system has only 1 scratch in total but the back has a ton from being slid around on shit but that's not what you're talking about. Speakers were always good for me but I'm not a sound autist who pretends to be able to hear shit that isn't there.
The only thing you brought up that's even slightly valid is the small memory card thing which didn't matter at all because the media was still physical at the time. I guess you really wanted to speedrun into not owning your games on digital though? Speaking of the umd was great too. The little plastic shield thing was great for preventing scratches when kids wouldn't store then properly
>killzone liberation
I remember the online for that was plagued by hackers throwing infinite streams of grenades.

last time i played on one was around 2010 on my mates psp at his house but when it was time to go he wouldn't get off God of War and his mum admonished him for his addiciton and selfishness and he told her to get stuffed and started crying it was a bit awkward but he was in the wrong

Tekken 6 and God of War were all I needed
Even excluding Japanese exclusives, it had plenty of great games
literally everything on it was better than the competition
t. inner city blacks
that's about as much as you could do with it. pokemon games aren't exactly BRIMMING with fast paced action.
Thing was fricking great. No one who actually owned one cared about any of the shit you just listed because we were too busy playing great games.
I played Pokemon emerald on mine and never noticed any issues.
Swamp is too hard in Valheim I must add.
