Old man, I am 31. This game came out 25 years ago.
I had Buster's Hidden Treasure as a kid and loved it.
Now imagine my disappointment playing this piece of shit when I was too young to understand that different developers can make games for the same IP.
The cover is a fricking lie btw
Is this a point and click kinda thing like Buster’s Beanstalk?

Biggest disappointment after getting Buster Busts Loose, the first GameBoy game, and Wacky Sports on the SNES. Good thing I only played it in the local console arcade.
Played through it recently. Haven't played it since I was kid. I found it interesting how small the map seemed to me now, it looked huge back then. Also a lot easier than I remember, only the Elmira race was annoying.
I promise you this isn't warring but it just seemed so bland and unambitious compared to the SNES game. There's hardly anything distinct about how it plays. Say what you will about Busts Loose being gimmicky, it had *something* with the dash mechnic.
There's a trick to climb up walls in this game. The level design doesn't give you a ton of opportunities to use it but it's fun to do once you get it down.
>doesn't help it's obnoxiously long
It's not actually, if you don't try to 100% it. It's way shorter than I remember as a kid.

It's an adventure game were you find stuff to exchange for other things or solve riddles. The entire game takes place in the same few hallways and rooms in the school.
The cover makes it look like you'll go on time traveling adventures but actually the bike explodes at the end. The whole thing was a waste of time.
>the bike explodes at the end.
Assuming that Plucky is the one riding the bike, it seems suitable that misfortune falls on him. Plucky is the best character on the show
>konami definitely did a lot of B-team projects on the genesis
I forgive them because they gave us Rocket Knight Adventures and Castlevania: Bloodlines
For me, it's the first NES game
better than sonic, no joke.
If it's a Warner licensed game, from the 80s or 90s and by Konami, it's good.
totally forgot there was an animaniacs game, also had no idea it was good.
It was made by the Goemon team
I fricking hated tiny toons. I had this shit “game”. I’m nostalgic for it but I sure as hell don’t like it.
Zoomie, you got jibbed, the Konami games from the early 90s is were is at.

Why did licensed games completely fall of a cliff after the fourth generation?
Companies like Disney or Warner either opened their own game studios or started contracting cheaper devs, probably not japanese.
That makes perfect sense. Thanks, anon.

i'm not sure why but this level/boss scared me as a kid.
This game works surprisingly well with genesis plus gx wide. Try it on a New 3DS if you have one.

this is one of the most generic sidescrollers on the genesis, doesn't help it's obnoxiously long

I think even a B-tram from 90s Konami was better than the actual mediocre companies out there making platformers like acclaim or virgin
THEY'RE FURRY
THEY'RE FUNNY
THEY'RE BABS AND BUSTER BUNNY
I WANNA FRICK THE dicky
ELMYRA IS INSANE
