I just bought an Oculus Quest 2. What games should I get? Any good VR games in the Steam sale? I got Superhot VR, and that's really fun. Looking for anything else that's good. Also porn games. Pic semi-related it's my favorite gamer fuel.

OP here. Forgot to mention I also got Half Life Alyx but haven't played it yet.
Creed: Rise to Glory

Little Witch Academia: VR Broom Racing

Yeah, definitely gotta get this. Damn, though, I have to pay full price because it's exclusive to the Quest store. Hurts to pay full price, especially during a Steam sale.
Blade and sorcery is pretty fun and has tons of mods.
Also you can set the enemies to 100% be females.
This also looks really good. On my list for sure. IIRC though it's not on sale at all on Steam right now, which sucks.
I bought that game on Steam and the performance was really disappointing when I used both airlink and a link cable. I have a 1660ti, are my specs not high enough or what?
What was your gpu usage like. Most issues are due to wifi setup (usually pc not wired to router or not connecting to 5g) but that shouldn't effect link cable
tried this? a 1660ti is pretty low.

OP here again, I also got Skyrim VR on Steam. I hear good things but have also read that the melee feels shitty. Is that still true? Or are there mods to fix it now?
Look up Wabbajack, then look up one of the SkyrimVR lists to install, Ultimate VR Essentials List is pretty good. Try that out, don't bother playing SkyrimVR without mods.
Forgot to mention I also got Sidequest all set up. Only thing I've tried on it is some Doom launcher, which I found kinda lame.
Doom 3 is the good one for quest porting. Devs go to applab more than sidequest these days
Pavlov VR base game playable characters are ONLY WHITE! Almost all custom workshop map playable characters are ONLY WHITE!
Most populated VR multiplayer shooter.
Base game modes include: Search and Destroy, classic CounterStrike; Deathmatch, no surprise here; Team Deathmatch, no surprise here; Trouble in Traitor Town, Traitors are secretly marked to kill innocents and innocents survive traitor betrayal; Hunt, catch a super disturbing invisibility freak; Prop Hunt, assume appearing as one of the map props or hunt those hiding as props; Gun, score one kill with each gun.
Weapon sets include modern and World War two. World war two includes tanks.
Sounds fun. I'll check it out. Thanks for the pic. I heard Fallout 4 VR is garbage. I've heard that mods fix it and make it great, but I've also heard that even with mods it's still ass. What's the truth?
Unless something changed the mods are a b***h to install cause there's so damn many of them required.
Mods
Left 4 dead 2
Deep rock galactic
Gtfo
Risk of rain 2
Resident evil 2,3,7 maybe 5 I don't remember
Alien isolation
Native
Wingman
No man's sky
Payday 2
Pavlov ($5 steam right now)
Population one (90% of my game time)
Contractors
Warplanes Battle over pacific
PokerStars
Star wars squadrons
Like half of those are on gamepass right now
Try Pavlov shack for free off of applap try population one (squads, skip tutorials n stuff) for less than 3 hours and try contractors for less than 2 hours. Most people only love one and hate the other 2. Main difference I think is ease of movement and gun handling. Think you may need a gunstock for Pavlov and contractors. Anyways population one of the only one of those I can really get into although I prefer the custom maps of Pavlov and contractors. Something about being able to climb everything I think makes it more immerse for me. Basically there's no dead space and the starting off like a battle royal (spread out except with teams) hunting for other teams can be a bit suspenseful
I played the Beat Saber demo and it's fun but why the frick is it still so expensive. I thought it would be cheaper. What's the skinny on pirating? I'm an avid pirate for regular games, but not sure if it's as viable for VR games.
>Pirate any version
>Google Beat Sage
>Now have access to AI generated levels of ANYTHING (under 10 minutes because you have to pay for that shit) by uploading an MP# or YouTube link
Very interesting! Would I install the pirated version on my PC and play through airlink, by adding it to Steam and playing through SteamVR?
Also it's like the only game that's not cross buy on the oculus app.
What do you mean by cross buy, exactly?
Most games on the quest include the pc version for free if you bought it through the app (of the PC version is available through the oculus app as well) so like I used to play population one on quest only. Once I got my PC I was able to download the pc version for free and still play on same account with all my original stats n shit. If I was to go to steam for pc on that I would need a different account t and woulda had to buy another copy of the game
That said I mostly buy steam games now because I prefer using steamvr over the oculus app since it supports overlays and I don't think oculus does or at least I haven't figured it out. Plus there's never a good sale on oculus aanymore. Most you can expect is 30% off using the codes that come randomly in the email when you don't buy anything for a while
I pirated Beat Saber and from I’ve played so far it works fine. Is downloading custom tracks easy? I want some Daft Punk and Gorillaz songs
Jesus Christ OP stop responding to your own thread so much
Sorry. I like hearing from other anons and don't want the thread to die.
You just run it, then it runs through SteamVR to your Oculus when you use link. I don't know how, but it just works(tm). Also, if you like Superhot, I recommend Sairento. You need to use some in-game mod/power up thing if you want the "things only move when you move" thing, otherwise it's just a regular old VR shooter. You can move around though, but as far as I remember, it's through jumping and not running/walking.
I would skip sairento and go for the new one that studio made. Can't remember the name. I think it's hell something
Hellsweeper? I just googled "Sairento Hell" and that's what came up. I'm always dubious about early access games. But does it have the slow motion ability that's in Sairento? I just want "Superhot, but you can actually move around".
No. For slow motion go to hard bullet. Play the demo though I personally didn't care for it. Also there's supposedly a vr version of Hong Kong massacre in the works. I hope so cause that'd be pretty sweet. Super hot is kind of it's own genre. More of a puzzle game than a shooter
Beat Saber - rhythm game (exercise game)
Until You Fall - roguelike sword combat (exercise game) - I personally think this is the best VR sword combat, but I can see that others prefer physics-based combat, which this is not.
Thrill of the Fight - boxing (exercise game)
Aircar VR - brief free cozy flying game
Ultrawings 2 - Pilotwings-style arcade flying game
VTOL - combat-focused flight simulator
Euro/American Truck Simulator - drive a truck in Europe and the US
>porn games
The only truly relevant game is Virt-a-Mate
VR Paradise is good if you like striptease/dancing, but you cannot customize the girls' faces and bodies beyond breast and butt size
>Virt-a-Mate
I looked into this but it looks autistic as frick.
Heard you have to get the good stuff for it through discord n shit
basically the community started getting an influx of creators locking stuff behind a Patreon wall and discord is where all the piracy happens and there's only a handful of good freebies on the hub
It is.
I got the same headset last weekend and I’ve had a lot of fun with Beat Saber, Gun Raiders, and that rollercoaster game where you shoot targets. For porn games I’ve only tried Koikatsu but the controls are a little wonky
Is VR porn vidya worth it? That's the only thing that might get me to get a headset.
it's pretty great tbqtbh but is it worth the cost of a high end gaming PC and a headset? frick no
