nta, but I assume the issue is the mismatch in/lack of the paintjobs on the minis. There's certainly nothing wrong with unpainted minis, but having that mix of some painted, some just basecoated, some with actual paintjobs makes it seem like the player just bought a bunch of shit from other players. It implies a lack of investment in the "your dudes" aspect of 40k, which is one of the big draws for a loooooot of folk (especially the groggier types who've been around for a bit).

morons look at how small the board is and how cramped the units are. there's nothing you can do but run forward and hit the closest unit.
The "game" is already over and decided before the 1st turn even begins. The board is so small and has so many units on it that both players wil likely have only 1 or 2 meaningful decisions to make in the next 2 hours of mechanically rolling dice, the rest has already been decided by statistics and army comps. Basically both armies are already starting the game in weapons range from one another, it's ridiculous.
Imagine being a meta-chasing homosexual instead of just collecting minis that you think are kino and playing comfy beer and pretzels games with friends.
This is a modern problem. People are now incapable to be invested in anything if there's no competition involved. The zoomer in my FLGS Discord is always posting metagay articles and has literally sold his starting army because he's a metachasing homosexual. He's also always going on about how the store should constantly be trying to promote tournaments and get everyone involved in greater regional tourney scene. He only started playing but because his intro to the game were meta subreddits and metagay youtubers he thinks everyone who plays the game thinks this way.
That’s only a bad thing because optimizing in a game that’s poorly balanced to begin with is stupid. If they want to optimize their lists and do that sort of thing they should play a better designed game.
I know grown men that do this, people who sell and rebuy the same army over and over again. Guys who would commission armies, play them once at nova, wtc, etc then sell, rinse repeat. They would all claim it was about competition and 40k was a serious test of skill and then get drunk and frick around at the tournament and lose half their games, it's really just an excuse to hang out.
It's a little surreal, especially seeing how people's attitude towards highly tuned, competitive shit changes between games at my LGS.
I'll see commander players go on about the deliberately suboptimal choices they made when putting their deck together for flavor reasons as well to ensure that it doesn't blow out the table, and a couple days later those same people will come in for 40k with only the freshest tournament topping lists talking about how they hate certain models, they don't fit the rest of the army theme, etc, but run them anyways because they have really strong rules at the moment.
Anon, for as long as pretty much anything has ever existed, people have wanted to see if they could do it better. It's true that in the modern day, societal expectations have pushed a lot more peoples' self-worth into the realm of competition, but someone would be doing this regardless. The problem is of a particular sort that we've never managed to properly address.
>refusing to take a model because it's inconvenient for you
I have to take a whole detachment if I want to field my Gorkanaught but I still do it because I like the model. Why are WAACgays such babies?
Who even knows?
Out of all these c**ts I think Juan is the only one thats an actual half-decent painter.
I was hoping s***c*** would finally kill these shitty channels off but all it's done is bring in more eyeballs.
You shouldn't use homophobic slurs, anons. Eons of Battle has some comfy videos, but I don't sub to his channel. It's nice to see someone get most of their backlog painted. His Star Wars stuff is pretty neat.

Even worse, I think that's a 800 point game. I don't know how anybody enjoys those 50,000 point Apocalypse games when they still play on 6' x 4' tables lined up.

You'd think after 9 editions GW would figure out how to write rules, yet they continue to make a poorly balanced game because people will continue to buy $300 worth of literature every 4 years.
Being a WAACgay or Metachaser is the single most cucked way to play 40k.
You "win" games, but you take a backseat role in your own hobby because you become dependant on a meta that changes every few months or even weeks.
Your entire hobby experience is getting blown around like a fricking leaf as what you buy, paint and play is entirely dictated by external factors.
Fricking pathetic.
New Squats made it like 5 days before they got errata'd kek.

What I find strange is that all modern day FAQ and balance dataslates are based on the top tournament results. And since Tournament 40k, is like an entirely different game, than beer and pretzel 40k, it makes almost no sense at all.
A good example can be your every day local meta, which consists of a majority of some form of power-armoured army, mostly space marines if its anything like my club house. Then they go and nerf anything even remotely related to my Tau Smart Missile Systems, they double in points, and hit like wet pasta on impact, if they even hit that is. Now why is that, I find myself asking. Well, as it turn's out, the Tournament scene is filled to the brim with a new drop and pop tactic, that completely annihilates the opponents lightly armored "hide behind the wall" units.... No where does this becomes an issue in real live gaming, unless your a total c**t.
First of, you wouldn't in any way powerplay like that with your friends down at the local shop, or you would very quickly find yourself without games.
And second... Who the hell plays DE anyways? Because I assume that's what they where targeting in all those tournament games?
All the while, I stand dumbfounded with my somewhat bitter friends, who thought they would adjust my plasma rifles to some degree, as it is the best weapon I have against them and all that power armour.
Its just wrong, I get what they are trying to do, but they need to understand its not the same game at that level of play.
But tau plasma rifles were never supposed to be anti-PA weapons until imbecile writer who started to pile more and more cheese for four editions straight came in. They were always weak compared to Imperial or Eldar plasma, as tau preferred user safety rather than damage. Tau anti-PA weapon was always fusion, plasma was for medium infantry. I am not surprised your friends dislike current broken crap, it shits all over tau fluff...
You're talking out your arse. Tau plasmarifles were S6 AP2 on release compared to Imperial S7 AP2, but both of those strength values wounded marines on a 2+ and allowed no armour saves.
They were absolutely marine/terminator killers since day1 and their only weakness was they didnt have the same punch against armour that regular plasmaguns did.
This was mitigated by being mounted on a platform that could move/deepstrike and double tap a rapid fire weapon. Standard infantry would only shoot once to twelve inches with a plasma gun if they moved- Battlesuits counted as stationary.

calling you a gay, I'm calling you a gay also. Eldar plasma (really just the starcannon) was ALSO one strength less than the Imperial plasma, having the same 6/2 S/AP profile as the Tau's, with the same upside that it didn't have Gets Hot. The only other Plasma that Eldar had was Plasma missiles from their missile launcher, but that was just a S4 AP4 frag missile.
Once again G-Dubs overlooked a unit. If you looked at their original profile they would be capable of doing extremely bonkers shit for no penalties. G-Dubs apologized for forgetting to add the penalty and did an errata. Effectively they have a good chance of blowing up when they shoot
I ATE A BAE-BEE
Who wore it first?
Who wore it better?
is it wrong to like both?
lmao'ing at marine piggies
Remember when Ebay got flooded with unpainted Iron Hands armies because of a slight term?
God I hate 40Kiddies so much.
Might as well play a rank and flank at that point.
Is there something wrong with this image
t. Only 3 months playing

what happened
GW made plasma inceptors super cheap in points, then upped the cost after people went and bought a bunch.
Lmao that's some Enron shit
Ha.
It'll be Aggressors next.
Jokes on geedubz though I gotta ton of the fat bastards in my pile of shame.

he's a normal homosexual too
At least this guy knows how to properly assemble a titan model, unlike Midwinter who directly applied epoxy sludge to the resin surface.

have a nice day, homosexual.
>blaming the algorithm
The algorithm recommends these because people watch the videos. The fault lies in the viewers, not the algorithm.

While we're talking about plasma, Imperial plasma should be S6 base and overcharge to S7.
There's no reason it should be S8
>These guys are no longer the worst looking Primaris unit now those stupid missle homosexuals exist
They got that going at least
