I also did all the quests as they came. Story took 20 hours and that is considered slow.

I can't consistently hit damage cap without crit. People say crit isnt' necessary since they cap without it, but I can only hit cap on non crits like half the time. I have the staple sigils like awakening, dmg cap, supp dmg, and elemental, which leaves 3 slots open. My terminus weapon and masteries are maxed.
Starting another playthrough, this time on hard, so I can experience the absolute cringekino again without having to use my overpowered main save characters.
This time I'll also solo all missions after the main quest is over until proud to prolong my pre-proud playtime.
I did and I sorta regret it. Much more fun to use the characters earlier when it's easy to power them up. Later on it becomes much more tedious to bring them to the same level as the rest of your party so you can compare them to your main gang

Stun Weapons and Linked Together are usually pretty good for the AI party members.
They're probably not going to be pushing out high damage, so maximizing Link Attacks and Link Time is probably the best use for them.

He's actually not, the invuln only last until the last of his teleporting slashes and about 1.5-2 seconds before his final slash that actually gives shroud stacks. There's some bosses link galanza who has basic sweeps with more lingering hitboxes that last long enough to actually outlast a perfectly timed finisher.
Ideally always use a skill into combo as it significantly speeds up your combo. You just want to get 4 things ASAP to ascend into godhood.
Don't sleep on your ranged skills and combo. Very useful while the boss is moving around a lot.
I did a Maniac run of his fight last night and I spent his transformation manually dodging or blocking all that shit. Then I realized I had a Vane on my team and he had his bubble up. Didn't notice cause my camera was pointed to the ground most of the way through.
As someone who's fought him a dozen times for his rare drop you just angle your camera directly down for his zippy phase and casually walk out of ground aoes and his zippy line and when he does his lazerbeam just back up, wait for it to pass, then run forwards and stand on a gap. When you're not boxed in just run in a circle around him if he's targeting you and run away when he does the growing aoe nuke around himself.
If you're talking about how to PLAY as him after he transforms jsut mash skills and square. he's grug-tier.
get your character sigil+, stack damage cap, and get improved dodge and improved guard, pick a couple other sigils that are useful to you
there, you've got the build for every single character, this isn't rocket science dumbass
He only "looks" intimidating. All his abilities are pretty easy to dodge. The whole point of proud is to throw multiple enemies at you so you get hit from behind if you aren't paying attention. Id on proud would be him plus ornstinette and smorgy together.
At least three of those years were spent on the Platinum build before Cygames said "Frick it we'll take it from here" and also poached some of their team while they were at it. Danchou was originally comatose for the whole game while you had to play as a new OC instead

Cygames gave a lot of funds to make the game, but Platinum mismanaged them (spending on their other projects) and kept delaying it.
Cygames had to boot Platinum and poach employees, but they already invested a ton and weren't really motivated so it entered dev hell.
The only boss in proud you fight one on one is both versions of bahamut, the rest are all fights against multiple bosses. There's a reason versia is the great finter, if you can't handle the mechanics of one boss then you'll struggle handling the mechanics of two, hense why Id isn't in proud. They would have to throw an extra boss in his fight or it would be too easy.
From dragons, believe it or not. The ancient dragon is the first one that you'll get to fight and he serves as a gatekeeper for a highter difficulty (extreme? I can't remember right now) I think so you can't really miss him.

Uwe has a low cd and gives stout heart and also does more damage than most of his combo besides the finisher and you could use it to cancel your finisher early and go into your next chain faster. Nelah Nav will instantly break a part and does more damage than his finisher. Mirage gives 70% def and I consider better than Vane's invincibility bubble since it doesn't need to be channeled and you could continue to attack. last slot I consider up to personal preference.

Rackam, Eugen, Danchou, Rosetta, and Cag are probably the best AI characters. Eugen in particular is probably the best AI attacker, and Danchou, Rosetta, and Cag are best used by the AI when given support skills.

I'd also probably give them all their Stun Weapons, At least basic Linked Together sigils, and then whatever else you can spare. None of the AI characters will really do amazing damage, but being able to capitalize on Link Attacks and Link Time will help a lot.

I've been farming proud for so long just to get silver centrums and weapon materials to trade for more silver centrums that I have like 200 of the large fortitude crystals.
Just got to volcano place. It's fun but one critique is that they didn't give equal attention to characters movesets. Io really could use some more animations for example. Also way too many male characters, not enough e-girl. I hope updates improve upon this but I doubt it will. I'm still enjoying it so far though.
That would help and maybe that's possible since she's in the game and has a character model, boss move-set, and all that. I would still like another non-harvin e-girl as well but I don't know anything about Granblue and if there's even any potential candidates for that.

I'm on chapter 7 and the closer I get to the end the more afraid I become of endgame. How can I prepare for it? Should I be doing quests in between chapters or just blitz the story til the end?
I'm in a game drought right now and need a dumb anime action RPG to help hold me over until Dragons Dogma 2. The story is insanely cliche but the combat is fun enough to enjoy despite most move-sets being tiny. They honestly got the release timing just right because after March 22nd, I'm going to be fully taken over by DD2 and then probably Ronin after that.
Literally me, but DD2 can go one of two ways for me. Either I'll love it and become addicted like the first game, or I'll find it to be a poor imitation of the first and go back to Granblue leveling up all characters or some shit. I'm honestly leaning towards the latter, $70 price tags are always a red flag.
I think it looks excellent and well worth the price but that's just me. The price of the game is the new next-gen standard pricing that replaced the old $60. It sucks but it's not a "red flag". Relink is only $60 because it still has a PS4 version. It would've been $70 if they had skipped previous gen consoles.

Two of them isn’t enough to max out your cap. Have a look at your trait details. You’re probably only doing ~2/3rds of the damage you could be.
And yeah, Terminus weapons give access to a much higher damage cap.
I'm only midway through the story so idk if it changes lategame, but is ferry's highest damage combo literally just holding down her primary attack after all pets are summoned?
It hits way faster than spamming normal attacks, and the alt fire hold unsummons your pets and doesn't seem to do more damage anyway unless you really need that circular hitbox for aoe.
Ferry is pretty simple, use your alt fire as much as you can while still having 100% uptime on your pets.
Whey you are not doing that hold your primary until charged then let it go, also her arials do a lot of damage but they are unsafe, gamble on those if you are feeling brave
it changes towards the mid and endgame. her x attack actually has pretty high modifiers that deceive you into thinking it's good, but has insanely shitty damage cap, while her x+a -> y jump loop has lower modifiers, especially the x+a component, but extremely high damage cap
i would say around the end of extreme towards maniac is when spamming x+a -> y overtakes her x attack easily
endgame ferry is just jumpspamming over and over while using skills and link attacks to keep pets out. the jump combo has very high damage cap, insane sba gauge generation, high stun damage and can be easily interrupted for link attacks or sba

Arm destruction obviously. Vanes damage is all about spamming Energy Destruction so you want to do as many combo finishers as you can to reduce the CD with his unique sigil.
Skill > finisher > skill > finisher > skill > finisher then spam normal normal multi hit spin finisher.
Rift divider has such a long animation lock that prevents you from doing that.
I'll live without Arm Destruction. it's damage is shit, and a bit of a beatdown bar is not worth it. The beatdown finisher is oftentimes unable to land cause it takes so long to get to the last one and by that time the boss moves on.

Improved Healing only affects character skills. Dunno if there's another healing boosting trait.
It DOES heal pretty quickly on fast characters and multihit attacks with echoes. However, most stuff in the endgame will simply oneshot you. And popping a pot is just faster.

It works fine. Even if someone disconnects, which only happened to me once, not including a time where I disconnected due to a momentary power outage, the game just replaces them with bots instead of closing the match.
Sometimes matchmaking for a quick match can take a minute, but trying again usually works instantly.
The worst part is that it's region locked on PC, so you need to change your download region in steam.

I did and I sorta regret it. Much more fun to use the characters earlier when it's easy to power them up. Later on it becomes much more tedious to bring them to the same level as the rest of your party so you can compare them to your main gang

He's actually not, the invuln only last until the last of his teleporting slashes and about 1.5-2 seconds before his final slash that actually gives shroud stacks. There's some bosses link galanza who has basic sweeps with more lingering hitboxes that last long enough to actually outlast a perfectly timed finisher.

I did a Maniac run of his fight last night and I spent his transformation manually dodging or blocking all that shit. Then I realized I had a Vane on my team and he had his bubble up. Didn't notice cause my camera was pointed to the ground most of the way through.
As someone who's fought him a dozen times for his rare drop you just angle your camera directly down for his zippy phase and casually walk out of ground aoes and his zippy line and when he does his lazerbeam just back up, wait for it to pass, then run forwards and stand on a gap. When you're not boxed in just run in a circle around him if he's targeting you and run away when he does the growing aoe nuke around himself.
If you're talking about how to PLAY as him after he transforms jsut mash skills and square. he's grug-tier.

He only "looks" intimidating. All his abilities are pretty easy to dodge. The whole point of proud is to throw multiple enemies at you so you get hit from behind if you aren't paying attention. Id on proud would be him plus ornstinette and smorgy together.

There's a reason versia is the great finter, if you can't handle the mechanics of one boss then you'll struggle handling the mechanics of two, hense why Id isn't in proud. They would have to throw an extra boss in his fight or it would be too easy.

Mirage gives 70% def and I consider better than Vane's invincibility bubble since it doesn't need to be channeled and you could continue to attack. last slot I consider up to personal preference.

I didn't farm slimes or anything because I only had trouble and difficulties a few times in maniac so I never felt the need before, but Bahamut is gatekeeping me from unlocking Proud.
I'm going to slime and invest on my AI party members so I can hopefully do it (and also bring them to proud quests), but I don't know who's good as in most effective, because I've seen some AI party members never use their charged attacks or perform mechanics (Siegfried keeps missing perfect timing, Ferry has weird pet management).
My current party is Zeta, Katalina, Rosetta and Eugen.
What characters are recommended to level up for those who cannot coop?
I was playing solo until i got filtered by the ice&wind dragon and kinda regret it going online. Up to that point i put minimal but enough care for my bots and twiching them a bit did made result like giving me the Proud Versa clear.
Rackam, Eugen, Danchou, Rosetta, and Cag are probably the best AI characters. Eugen in particular is probably the best AI attacker, and Danchou, Rosetta, and Cag are best used by the AI when given support skills.
I'd also probably give them all their Stun Weapons, At least basic Linked Together sigils, and then whatever else you can spare. None of the AI characters will really do amazing damage, but being able to capitalize on Link Attacks and Link Time will help a lot.

I'm in a game drought right now and need a dumb anime action RPG to help hold me over until Dragons Dogma 2. The story is insanely cliche but the combat is fun enough to enjoy despite most move-sets being tiny. They honestly got the release timing just right because after March 22nd, I'm going to be fully taken over by DD2 and then probably Ronin after that.
Literally me, but DD2 can go one of two ways for me. Either I'll love it and become addicted like the first game, or I'll find it to be a poor imitation of the first and go back to Granblue leveling up all characters or some shit. I'm honestly leaning towards the latter, $70 price tags are always a red flag.
I think it looks excellent and well worth the price but that's just me. The price of the game is the new next-gen standard pricing that replaced the old $60. It sucks but it's not a "red flag". Relink is only $60 because it still has a PS4 version. It would've been $70 if they had skipped previous gen consoles.

I'm only midway through the story so idk if it changes lategame, but is ferry's highest damage combo literally just holding down her primary attack after all pets are summoned?
It hits way faster than spamming normal attacks, and the alt fire hold unsummons your pets and doesn't seem to do more damage anyway unless you really need that circular hitbox for aoe.
Ferry is pretty simple, use your alt fire as much as you can while still having 100% uptime on your pets.
Whey you are not doing that hold your primary until charged then let it go, also her arials do a lot of damage but they are unsafe, gamble on those if you are feeling brave
it changes towards the mid and endgame. her x attack actually has pretty high modifiers that deceive you into thinking it's good, but has insanely shitty damage cap, while her x+a -> y jump loop has lower modifiers, especially the x+a component, but extremely high damage cap
i would say around the end of extreme towards maniac is when spamming x+a -> y overtakes her x attack easily
endgame ferry is just jumpspamming over and over while using skills and link attacks to keep pets out. the jump combo has very high damage cap, insane sba gauge generation, high stun damage and can be easily interrupted for link attacks or sba

Arm destruction obviously. Vanes damage is all about spamming Energy Destruction so you want to do as many combo finishers as you can to reduce the CD with his unique sigil.
Skill > finisher > skill > finisher > skill > finisher then spam normal normal multi hit spin finisher.
Rift divider has such a long animation lock that prevents you from doing that.
I'll live without Arm Destruction. it's damage is shit, and a bit of a beatdown bar is not worth it. The beatdown finisher is oftentimes unable to land cause it takes so long to get to the last one and by that time the boss moves on.

How are Rackam and Eugen better slime farmers than Narmaya?

Yes. it's capped at like 500 per swing. No idea how to make it bigger, maybe increased healing but it doesn't seem to do anything.
It's basically a scam, because it absolutely doesn't heal for the % it says it does.
unironically regen is "better" if you want some shitty self heal because it's affected by Heal Up sigils.
Improved Healing only affects character skills. Dunno if there's another healing boosting trait.
It DOES heal pretty quickly on fast characters and multihit attacks with echoes. However, most stuff in the endgame will simply oneshot you. And popping a pot is just faster.

The servers aren't the problem, it's matchmaking that's a swing and miss more often than not.
they've been solid for the most part, matchmaking is kind of fricked sometimes in that other people that are in your queue can cancel theirs and it cancels yours

It works fine. Even if someone disconnects, which only happened to me once, not including a time where I disconnected due to a momentary power outage, the game just replaces them with bots instead of closing the match.
Sometimes matchmaking for a quick match can take a minute, but trying again usually works instantly.
The worst part is that it's region locked on PC, so you need to change your download region in steam.
