I unlocked proud with AI and now instead of continuing proud missions to get materials and such I'm just trying to autistically solo oruta even though I'm still far from having optimal anything and don't have any proud materials or upgrades. The dps check is really fricking stupid. I still need between 20-40% extra damage on the FIRST core depending on the run. He can't hit me at all at any point in the fight so I've also tried paper-thin but I only have a lvl 7 one and it was a dps loss.
I feel like Zeta loses too much time on jumps for mechanics like this.
I think I can do at least the first core if I actually start spending MSP on limit breaks to get damage cap up on normal attacks. Not sure about the second core though. If I manage to get that + a lvl 11 paper thin (if that's possible without proud) I might be able to solo it to the end without proud materials.
There isn't a quest that drops more curios than any other. You just get them for completing the usual Proud/Maniac quests.
You should be looking at quests that give you useful materials, like Silver Centrums and Fortitude Crystals (L), and just collect curios passively from farming those.

Seems like Siegfried's default combo is a noob trap. The cooldowns on his skills are rather low and the damage cap for skills is higher. One of his signature sigils lowers the cooldown further by 3% for each hit and 5% for each combo finisher.
With 3 damage skills instead of 2 and prioritising skills over combos I managed to improve my dps by almost 50%
That's how you're supposed to play, there's nothing revolutionary about it.
You take 3 damage skills and either the parry or utility.
You spam all the skills and in the downtime you do the combo.
it's not rocket science.

I get bored after 15 minutes. I maxed out one character including the terminus weapon and I have absolutely no desire to do it for another one.
I pretty much only do maniac double griffins or proud red dragon. Griffins for fortitude, dragon for proud tier curios and exceptional refinium. Centrums are common enough between those and grinding the specific awakening mats from nihilia stuff
Not from my experience. They're seeded on drop based on what difficulty of a fight dropped them. Pretty sure i don't ever get IVs from curios that come from proud, but I get a lot from doing extreme. To my knowledge supp V can drop from as low as extreme but the rate is worse
I've rolled about 10k curios generated through cheats. My hunch is they're either not tied to anything and you have confirmation bias, or they're tied to where you are in the story/mission progression.
Or, the cheats are generating the highest quality, but I would think we would have heard about curio quality before recently if that was the case.
You're working off the assumption that they're statically set based on the seed or something, and you get the same ones every time?
I don't know if that's the case, but I would personally assume it isn't, and a result where they're both different doesn't actually tell you anything besides they aren't seeded in that way.

Probably just taking in the view. Honestly looks to me like a first timer who didn't know what was coming. Or at least thought he'll get a more advanced warning, he had no chance of outrunning that the moment red dropped on the ground.
Never tried, but I think it's designed to be an instant kill. Maybe you can survive with Guts though. Like those elemental attacks he does, if you fail to kill the crystals. It goes through parry skills which normally give you invincibility.

Rupies are going to be easy to farm on slime, MSP depends on how lucky you get with rarity of slimes but a few hours can max out a character's mastery bars easiliy

Characters with lower auto damage caps are better than ones with higher auto damage caps because it takes less sigils to cap (assuming maxed terminus/no buffs or debuffs).
I can cap with lance, yoda, eugen, rackam, etc. easy with only one stamina and crit sigil. Meanwhile characters like vas, sieg, percy, etc. need an tyranny and sometimes even more to hit cap semi-consistently.

NTA but to some (incl. me) leveling, gearing, and learning to play all the characters on the hardest fights is content and there's plenty of characters to do that for

Pyet-A and holy dragon are much harder as single bosses. Versa is really not that difficult unless you have no familiarity with his patterns/no survivability sigils. DPS checks are another thing.

Anything in proud is just damage check, I literally solo everything to Proto because I hates getting carried just like in any Monster Hunter game.
As long you upgrade everything and learned the monster pattern(which is not that much) you will be fine.
All sigils now also unlocked in Proud, I got sigils that let me dodge for extra 4 times with extra dodge window.
I never get it before proud, so I'm guessing either I never bother to grind for this shit or it only drop in proud

if you have 2 or 3 skills ready at the same time you might want to use skills back to back, transient also wants to be done in blue stance only so doing two combos is a huge waste of time
for example you might want to do setsuna into transient (blue) instead of doing setsuna > combo (into pink) > combo (into blue) > transient
her unique sigils gives her skills a chance to not consume butterflies iirc
then it's the same bullshit as Yoda, his stacks marker disappears if you aren't attacking or actively using the finisher and it's easy to lose track of how many you've generated

Some anon produced some esoteric napkin math a few days ago suggesting that Relink managed to recoup the money from its disastrous 7 year dev hell.
Which if true probably gives Cygames a solid incentive to make an expansion/sequel to Relink now that they have the engine ironed out, assets made, and a solidified dev team.
If nothing else I want these developers to stay together for their next project, because Relink drips soul and attention to detail
It's great considering what type of game this is, but it's nothing compared to even what less popular Gacha games make when you compare cost/profit. Relink probably took like 10x more money to develop than the gacha does in the same span of time, and it definitely made much less.
That being said, it's still worthwhile. The gacha is old as shit and has been eclipsed by other games multiple times and something like Relink goes a long way to keep the name in people's minds while also directing some of them towards mobile. I'd say the game is a resounding success and will either get more updates than originally planned, a sequel or both.

Maniac quest where you fight the goblin. Maniac and Proud give the same loot from Curios. Takes 30 seconds to kill him (for me) and gives a Curio vast majority of the time. You can easily farm 50-60 an hour.

I unlocked proud with AI and now instead of continuing proud missions to get materials and such I'm just trying to autistically solo oruta even though I'm still far from having optimal anything and don't have any proud materials or upgrades. The dps check is really fricking stupid. I still need between 20-40% extra damage on the FIRST core depending on the run. He can't hit me at all at any point in the fight so I've also tried paper-thin but I only have a lvl 7 one and it was a dps loss.
I feel like Zeta loses too much time on jumps for mechanics like this.

I think I can do at least the first core if I actually start spending MSP on limit breaks to get damage cap up on normal attacks. Not sure about the second core though. There isn't a quest that drops more curios than any other. You just get them for completing the usual Proud/Maniac quests.
You should be looking at quests that give you useful materials, like Silver Centrums and Fortitude Crystals (L), and just collect curios passively from farming those.

Seems like Siegfried's default combo is a noob trap. The cooldowns on his skills are rather low and the damage cap for skills is higher. One of his signature sigils lowers the cooldown further by 3% for each hit and 5% for each combo finisher.
With 3 damage skills instead of 2 and prioritising skills over combos I managed to improve my dps by almost 50%
I think you can manage to get a solid loop of nelah nav > uwe > full combo on him with his personal, and cascade and quick cooldown at 16

You take 3 damage skills and either the parry or utility.
You spam all the skills and in the downtime you do the combo.

Now the REAL farm begins - Fortitude Crystals (L).
The real farm is curio, everything else is easy
Especially fortitude crystals, just farm the 2 griffins on maniac, takes 3 minutes per run
Everything is "easy" to farm, the problem is that it's extremely fricking boring.
crystals should take you less than 6 hours to farm all you need for like 5-6 weapons
Curio is where it might get really boring because its full on RNG with no way to savescum

I pretty much only do maniac double griffins or proud red dragon. Griffins for fortitude, dragon for proud tier curios and exceptional refinium. Centrums are common enough between those and grinding the specific awakening mats from nihilia stuff

Not from my experience. They're seeded on drop based on what difficulty of a fight dropped them. Pretty sure i don't ever get IVs from curios that come from proud, but I get a lot from doing extreme. To my knowledge supp V can drop from as low as extreme but the rate is worse
I've rolled about 10k curios generated through cheats. My hunch is they're either not tied to anything and you have confirmation bias, or they're tied to where you are in the story/mission progression.
Or, the cheats are generating the highest quality, but I would think we would have heard about curio quality before recently if that was the case.
It could be tested by farming a few on hard, then reloading save and farming them on proud instead and checking if it's the exact same results.

I don't know if that's the case, but I would personally assume it isn't, and a result where they're both different doesn't actually tell you anything besides they aren't seeded in that way.

Never tried, but I think it's designed to be an instant kill. Maybe you can survive with Guts though. Like those elemental attacks he does, if you fail to kill the crystals. It goes through parry skills which normally give you invincibility.

Rupies are going to be easy to farm on slime, MSP depends on how lucky you get with rarity of slimes but a few hours can max out a character's mastery bars easiliy
Nah I wouldn't worry about anything for right now, even slimes. After you get into proud, you could start grinding out the awakening weapon and some decent sigil setup, but only do as much as needed to get up to pbaha. Cause that grind will take a while
Double character ones only come from transmarvels, which unlock at proud iirc. Honestly, just go through maniac now and go into the proud promo WITH NPCS. The fight is peak gameplay if you're not massively overgeared but if you matchmake you'll get paired with people who have absolutely maxed out their damage. Build out your allies. Eugen, Percival, Rosetta, Rackam and Lancelot are all decent options.

Characters with lower auto damage caps are better than ones with higher auto damage caps because it takes less sigils to cap (assuming maxed terminus/no buffs or debuffs).
I can cap with lance, yoda, eugen, rackam, etc. easy with only one stamina and crit sigil. Meanwhile characters like vas, sieg, percy, etc. need an tyranny and sometimes even more to hit cap semi-consistently.
Except for oversights like Ferry and Rackam, everyone has their cap adjusted to do similar damage.
It's even harder to cap Perci's Feuerangrif skill other than Shlacht.

Pyet-A and holy dragon are much harder as single bosses. Versa is really not that difficult unless you have no familiarity with his patterns/no survivability sigils. DPS checks are another thing.

Proto is just DPS check and learning the scripted fight.

Anything in proud is just damage check, I literally solo everything to Proto because I hates getting carried just like in any Monster Hunter game.
As long you upgrade everything and learned the monster pattern(which is not that much) you will be fine.
All sigils now also unlocked in Proud, I got sigils that let me dodge for extra 4 times with extra dodge window.
I never get it before proud, so I'm guessing either I never bother to grind for this shit or it only drop in proud

Everything Solo, people has been fighting Proto three day after release, I;m still grinding my AI partner and still not finish with Versa after a week because I can't pass the dps check or they keep dying from dots.

if you have 2 or 3 skills ready at the same time you might want to use skills back to back, transient also wants to be done in blue stance only so doing two combos is a huge waste of time
for example you might want to do setsuna into transient (blue) instead of doing setsuna > combo (into pink) > combo (into blue) > transient

Unironically? Morality, probably. The devs had ample time to see the success of genshin and deliberately chose not to be a clone of it despite their gacha origins. They had a creative vision and profit seeking took a very clear back seat to it.
Complexity. You can't have a gacha with 20 fricking characters, you'd need a lot more, but you also can't have 50-100 characters and have all of them be as unique gameplay wise as the 20 we have right now.

Which if true probably gives Cygames a solid incentive to make an expansion/sequel to Relink now that they have the engine ironed out, assets made, and a solidified dev team.

It's great considering what type of game this is, but it's nothing compared to even what less popular Gacha games make when you compare cost/profit. Relink probably took like 10x more money to develop than the gacha does in the same span of time, and it definitely made much less.
That being said, it's still worthwhile. The gacha is old as shit and has been eclipsed by other games multiple times and something like Relink goes a long way to keep the name in people's minds while also directing some of them towards mobile. I'd say the game is a resounding success and will either get more updates than originally planned, a sequel or both.
