I never did activate SBA during link time, but i keep seeing people talking about it.
I do burst my sba as soon as i can since it gives buff to how others raise, but i'll be more patient when i'm at a harder difficulty.(and playing with humans)
You want to make sure link time activates first because full chain burst grants 100% link time. It will create a huge window of burst making harder raids much easier.

with how well its been received most likely they're making an expansion, whole game is setup for more regions + chars since all they need to add is a town, more mediocre story and some options in the quest screen

I'd like to see the sequel focus on Id and have him form his own crew of original characters, and have more popular picks for unlockable characters, and honestly I think that would be my dream Granblue game. Maybe have him find his own summoner girl too and make them a combat mechanic to a degree.
I think for the story of the console games to be more successful, they need to focus on their own characters and plots, and leave the main crew to the gacha game, since they'll never actually progress their plot outside of the gacha.

I do think they should try spin off without main crew or danchou. And due to many of the crew members actually having their own lives outside of grandcypher or being mercenaries they can still appear to recruit, on their own side quests or having fun on some island. The MC doesnt need to be Id either, it could be some other new character who can then be given unique goal different from Danchou, like their own shop, smith and atelier which you travel around skyrealm for marerials to upgrade and sell higher quality merchandise. With some story that ends up going way higher than normal shopkeeper should go to. Its same grind and world but now with little different view and reason to go on it
Am sure after the dev hell they went throught and sure they just want to be done with it but maybe if the good reception continues, now that the skeleton is there, we might get a more polished sequel. Rising is a thing after all.

the game is weird. it runs on toasters but if you go full 4k and 120+ fps then it rapes your system. even people with 4090s+7800x3d cant maintain solid 120fps in town at 4k.
I mean its a ps3 game visually at best. I could run xillia 2 at 8k 60fps in rpcs3 no problems. monster hunter world also doesnt break a sweat at 4k 120fps on a 4090 but it struggles here.
I'm pretty sure it has to do with the lighting or something. It's probably sampling based on resolution. Think of MSAA but for the lighting.

The lighting is pretty nuts. Some of the best I have seen recently without it being RT. Really great looking game. I love the skybox. These homies painted all the clouds. And the way when you go a certain distance the background becomes a painting. Such a nice touch. This is like the evolution of cell shaded graphics.

confirm hdr is enabled by opening xbox game bar while the game is running the intensity slider should be adjustable if its not then auto hdr is not enabled

I played with my friend and he hosted the sessions, so i barely put any MSP in other characters, only Zeta and Ferry for now, with a few other points scattered into the captain, Cagliostro, Io and i've got a blank for the last, can't even recall the design currently.

Either way, it's not worth upgrading sigils until IV+ or V to begin with, it's very expensive and you'll almost be guaranteed to be swapping off them sooner rather than later, and those materials could be going into your weapon/s for mastery board

I was asking on the past thread how I could optimize my Vaseraga build. I'm hitting 1.049.995 hard capped on a full charge. Some anons suggested slotting suplementary damage, but I only have a lvl 3 one, is it enough for it to proc?
I think it's still worth a slot in. Eventually when you get more sigil slots you'll hit your cap easier and higher too with the Proto Baha weapons. With more sigil slots, you can also slot in more QoL sigils too if you have any or get lucky.
I still don't understand why people keep saying that Zeta's timing is difficult or tricky. Is there some skill or passive later on that makes the timer tighter in exchange for more power or something?

Mostly rely on your skills for pet gen rather than holding X, the two that give all your pets and the buff skill that grants you invincibility are your main tools. Pets buff ALL Y attacks, including your aerial plunge and that one doesn't consume pets. Play her like Zeta.

I can't help but feel like this character has been designed for a different game.
If you leveled his Launcher he is bricked. Outside of big openings you wont be able to do his full combo so you are left with his aerial combo which gives less stacks but ends way sooner. Leveling his launcher stops him from quick hopping into his air combo cause youll do a shoryuken instead which also leaves you open cause its slow as frick.
the first few bosses are dragons again and pretty easy. there's multi fights but it felt manageable with the only annoying one being with 2 eyeball bats and skeletor spamming glacial debuff shit. bigs and smalls duo is another wall similar to how bahamut is.
it's about what i expect from the gacha not the action rpg. getting the weapon isn't even the worst part, grinding all the upgrade materials for masteries and the awakening mats is a big grind

I don't think people are in the wrong for staying away from these, but I also don't see the point of using made up arguments. There are so many legit ones you could make, why make stuff up? Family share does not ban you because "abusing third world pricing". The only way it can ban the shared account is if the original account is caught in a vac ban from cheating. Then the vac ban extends to the shared account as well. There is no risk of this happening as the original account is also yours.
A legit risk (not made up one) is that the game was bought with fraudulent credit card info and it's cashed back. In this case the bought account is tagged and your main account will lose the game by extension, but that's it. It will lose the game. And you will lose your money. It won't be banned.

Nah that's granblue for you. Damage cap is sadly important in relink as in the original game. later when you get better sigils, you can replace a lot of those damage cap sigils for a better one, so you can slot other damage or qol sigils.
Fellow Charlotta chad here. I just fully awakened my baha weapon yesterday. Still need to optimize my sigils and masteries, that's gonna be the next thing I do.
Like the other anon said, 4-5 Damage Cap up V should be enough once you get them. I would replace any Crit damage or raw attack with Stamina. Once you start to do Proud mode (and maybe even late Maniac), having defensive sigils/traits become more important like Aegis, Potion Hoarder, Garrison, Guts. Also Improved Dodge, Drain and Stout Heart work really well with Charlotta and all that with Invincibility makes her the ture unga bunga mash x queen.

Still haven't decided if I should buy this on PC. ps4 and PS5 share online and it's not region locked from what I hear also it appears to have more people especially when you consider the JP player pool. The downside is that I'd have to pay ps plus just for this one game as I don't use anything else.
Meanwhile PC seems to be locked to steam's download region (or has this been fixed?) and is still secluded into PC players only. There is also the valid risk that - and this risk increases with time - there will be cheaters as this game has 0 protection (hell, even if it had protection, cheaters often still find ways) and the sort of person who cheats doesn't give a frick if it's coop or pvp, they cheat because that's who they are. The plus side of PC is just better framerate and more convenient since I'm on my PC all the time anyway.
You can sell the gacha code from the PS version and buy like three months of PS+ with it. Playing with the japs is funny as frick and no cheaters either. People are already reporting Proud bosses getting oneshot by cheaters on PC.

I'm still playing on hard but something really weird just happened, I entered a lobby with people all around my level 60 but for whatever reason they just kept getting killed over and over and over again while I didn't die a single time, what the frick is going on? It's not even because I'm good, they just kept getting one-shot somehow, but how???? We're the same level

proto bahamut is easily doable with ai as long as you farm damage cap sigils and max their mastery/weapons, you just have to save a full burst for the damage check at the end
Its not that hard. I cleared it with 17k pwr main with 10k on my bots. The only thing is remembering to tell them not to use ougi until you pop yours unless you're trying to simulate online

Nothing in particular. I guess since both moves have pretty similar hitboxes it wont really make a difference. I realized jump launch was a good move and great for canceling but I never realized JUST how strong it was compared to Ferry's other attacks.
i think it's more the case that ferry's other attacks are just really weak. there's no reason a basic air loop should do much more damage than the moves that actually interact with her kit, like the charged light attack and hold onslaught
imo if i were to change things, i'd give the pink glow charged light attack much more oomph so it's actually worth it to charge and increase the damage the pets do during onslaught. it's very silly that they do the exact same damage per hit as their regular autoattacks during onslaught (ie very little)
also they should really fix the pets so that supplemental damage actually works on them it's extra dumb on ferry because she has a supplemental damage buff, but 90% of her skills and the pet whirlwind on onslaught can't even proc it

whenever i see a vaseraga,vane or yoda, i always know i have at least a good player on the squad.
because there's no big OH FRICK phase during the entire fight. it's just a technical fight where you gotta dodge and be aware. the spinning cross phase is piss easy, just gotta run toward it and dodge into it. i gave up on the bubble because people are shit and never come to me anyway. they always run AWAY from me when a big dmg phase comes. like, if you see a vane in your squad, and a big dmg phase is up, stick close to him.
I feel like she is pretty hard to play because she needs to stand still like a melee turret in order to compete.

She keeps her combo with dodging, so I like to use the sigil that increases the amount of dodges you can have with her. The most annoying thing is fighting massive bosses like Bahamut since if they even move an inch you have to dodge reposition.
Narmaya isn't that bad if you've played even a single action game before once you've learned her rhythm.
Managing to time her loop so that you can abuse charge parry on her dawnfly quick draw is some real neuron activation shit though

In Dawnfly (Iaijustu style) the trick is that you can't spam square like in Freeflutter. The idea of Dawnfly is to hold down square to do her big AoE attack, and press triangle when she glows to gain a butterfly and instantly switch to freeflutter. Spam square in free flutter, once she does her spinning finishing move she'll glow at the end of it, press triangle, hold down square to charge up her AoE, throw in skills here and there.
Basically you want to build up butterflies which you get by perfect stance switching, use a skill once you've got a good number of them, typically something like Setsuna which is among the harder skills to master due to charge time, and her skill that does different things depending on stance.

You can charge it directly after the stance change attack or you you can use a skill and then charge it. Unless you begin in dawnfly close to an enemy, there is no reason to 3 square attacks and then charge it.
in order to get your mirror images you need to get three stacks,in order to get three stacks you gotta deal dmg yourself. at certain times it's impossible to deal dmg to bosses. the bubble is a much better defensive mechanism because it's ready to deploy under any circumstance.

It's a different style of game so it heavily depends on whether you like the action, however they did a great job with presentation so if you liked grubble and it's world you will not be disappointed in that regard. Also there's a ton of shit that they "translated" from the turn based mobage into this real time action (items, mechanics, skills, buffs and debuffs that sort of stuff) so you'll have no problems grasping the game's mechanics while also enjoying the nods and references I guess. At least that's how it was for me, I quit the gacha like two years ago but I felt at home almost immediately.
Damage cap is gay. It should not exist in any action RPG.

damage cap is a thing because it's to stop you from just slotting in nothing but attack mods so that you can have some actual build flexibility
you have 4-5 slots dedicated to capping, maybe 3 or 4 more for actual damage, but then the rest is your choice
The real issue with damage cap is that there's no indicator that you're hitting it. They just have to add an outline to the damage numbers or give it a different color.
I always thought it would be cool if damage capped numbers were rounded, so if you keep seeing numbers like 57.000 or 100.000 you'd know something was up

I think she's fun in Relink. She's got one of the biggest movesets in the game.
It's just that her skills/build are only geared towards being a sup-optimal DPS, but it literally doesn't matter until you hit proud, and even then as long as you aren't a liability no one on the team will mind.

It makes no sense for danchou to have so little skills when one of it's main appeals on the gacha is the amount of customization you can do.
So I finished all of the story (including the post credit) and have entered Maniac difficulty but still have 6 hidden achievements. I assume one is for clearing the final Bahamut raid but what are the others and why? I thought achivement got hidden for story spoilers but there shouldnt be any left
there's 2 for doing some gamer moves in chapter 4 with the turrets, 2 for taking no damage in the 2 fights where you play as bahamut, 1 for redoing the whole story in chapter select but on Ultimate and 1 for Proud Versa
Is it worth doing elemental weakness damage? I picked a seal or whatever it's called letting my character doing elemental weakness damage to any enemy. I only it's a waste for one slot but it let me pick any character I want.

Also if you do this, BACKUP YOUR SHIT first because once you launch the steam copy and create a save file with a legit copy, it will overwrite your old save

You want to make sure link time activates first because full chain burst grants 100% link time. It will create a huge window of burst making harder raids much easier.

they have over 100+ characters and raids to add. it will be impossible to add as dlc so at most expect an expansion then full work on sequel.

with how well its been received most likely they're making an expansion, whole game is setup for more regions + chars since all they need to add is a town, more mediocre story and some options in the quest screen

I'd like to see the sequel focus on Id and have him form his own crew of original characters, and have more popular picks for unlockable characters, and honestly I think that would be my dream Granblue game. Maybe have him find his own summoner girl too and make them a combat mechanic to a degree.
I think for the story of the console games to be more successful, they need to focus on their own characters and plots, and leave the main crew to the gacha game, since they'll never actually progress their plot outside of the gacha.
What do you guys think? I think it would give us a chance for some completely original and interesting stuff for the Granblue universe, and we could have a more varied cast this way.

And by that take the MC and Lyria and at most only 2-3 other main crew members helping someone on another skydom.
I do think they should try spin off without main crew or danchou. And due to many of the crew members actually having their own lives outside of grandcypher or being mercenaries they can still appear to recruit, on their own side quests or having fun on some island. The MC doesnt need to be Id either, it could be some other new character who can then be given unique goal different from Danchou, like their own shop, smith and atelier which you travel around skyrealm for marerials to upgrade and sell higher quality merchandise. With some story that ends up going way higher than normal shopkeeper should go to. Its same grind and world but now with little different view and reason to go on it
Am sure after the dev hell they went throught and sure they just want to be done with it but maybe if the good reception continues, now that the skeleton is there, we might get a more polished sequel. Rising is a thing after all.

You mistakenly think this is an actual finished single player game.
You start the game with 6 charas and get to unlock a new chara after the 3rd chapter, so you should be able to get her then. Beware, it takes a bit of time until you can unlock more characters after the 1st one

Zeta is super good but you need to be wary of her timing. She's super fun to play though.
She's good if you know how to do the pogo loop, but a lot of the fights in the game messes up your camera angle so doing it might be a bit annoying. In terms of braindead characters, Charlotta and Vane are really unga bunga. Vane lets you skip a lot of bosses' overdrive mechanics with his barrier and his standard heavy combos have super armor/stout in them.

Oh yeah, i've noticed that while i was training with narmalaya whatever cow lady, the dodge offset is really nice, but i've still been slammed a few time
big enemies(like the HUGE one) do have a messy lock-on.
Then i tried removing it and i controlled even worse, althought going no lock-on on a horde works great, generally.
For me, the Proto Bahamut fight was a bit annoying for me on Zeta. It would just keep targeting the head and hands whenever I would do my pogo so I would mess up constantly.

This game runs smooth at 60 fps on ultra settings on a 980ti. Why the frick do they even have those hardware requirements?
It's called error margin, it's their first real game so I understand them advising higher than needed specs to account for the unexpected.
the game is weird. it runs on toasters but if you go full 4k and 120+ fps then it rapes your system. even people with 4090s+7800x3d cant maintain solid 120fps in town at 4k.

Actually it's not. There's a lot going on with the graphics you probably don't realize because of the painted textures.
I'm pretty sure it has to do with the lighting or something. It's probably sampling based on resolution. Think of MSAA but for the lighting.
The lighting is pretty nuts. Some of the best I have seen recently without it being RT. Really great looking game. I love the skybox. These homies painted all the clouds. And the way when you go a certain distance the background becomes a painting. Such a nice touch. This is like the evolution of cell shaded graphics.
yeah with auto HDR its look really great. under certain lighting conditions it makes the visuals stand out a lot more.
How'd you get auto HDR to work? I tried using the program to force it, but it still doesn't work and the game just looks washed out and the sky ends up looking kinda green.

Either way, it's not worth upgrading sigils until IV+ or V to begin with, it's very expensive and you'll almost be guaranteed to be swapping off them sooner rather than later, and those materials could be going into your weapon/s for mastery board

I think it's still worth a slot in. Eventually when you get more sigil slots you'll hit your cap easier and higher too with the Proto Baha weapons. With more sigil slots, you can also slot in more QoL sigils too if you have any or get lucky.
I still don't understand why people keep saying that Zeta's timing is difficult or tricky. Is there some skill or passive later on that makes the timer tighter in exchange for more power or something?

Mostly rely on your skills for pet gen rather than holding X, the two that give all your pets and the buff skill that grants you invincibility are your main tools.
Pets buff ALL Y attacks, including your aerial plunge and that one doesn't consume pets. Play her like Zeta.

If you leveled his Launcher he is bricked. Outside of big openings you wont be able to do his full combo so you are left with his aerial combo which gives less stacks but ends way sooner. Leveling his launcher stops him from quick hopping into his air combo cause youll do a shoryuken instead which also leaves you open cause its slow as frick.

In general it's really stupid. If the person wanted to, they could recover the account regardless of you changing the account details because they have the purchase receipt of the game on the account.

I don't think people are in the wrong for staying away from these, but I also don't see the point of using made up arguments. There are so many legit ones you could make, why make stuff up? Family share does not ban you because "abusing third world pricing". The only way it can ban the shared account is if the original account is caught in a vac ban from cheating. Then the vac ban extends to the shared account as well. There is no risk of this happening as the original account is also yours.
A legit risk (not made up one) is that the game was bought with fraudulent credit card info and it's cashed back. In this case the bought account is tagged and your main account will lose the game by extension, but that's it. It will lose the game. And you will lose your money. It won't be banned.

Nah that's granblue for you. Damage cap is sadly important in relink as in the original game. later when you get better sigils, you can replace a lot of those damage cap sigils for a better one, so you can slot other damage or qol sigils.
Damage Cap has a max of 65, eventually you can replace everything with 4 Damage Cap V maxxed out, but for now its good

Fellow Charlotta chad here. I just fully awakened my baha weapon yesterday. Still need to optimize my sigils and masteries, that's gonna be the next thing I do.
Like the other anon said, 4-5 Damage Cap up V should be enough once you get them. I would replace any Crit damage or raw attack with Stamina. Once you start to do Proud mode (and maybe even late Maniac), having defensive sigils/traits become more important like Aegis, Potion Hoarder, Garrison, Guts. Also Improved Dodge, Drain and Stout Heart work really well with Charlotta and all that with Invincibility makes her the ture unga bunga mash x queen.

Still haven't decided if I should buy this on PC. ps4 and PS5 share online and it's not region locked from what I hear also it appears to have more people especially when you consider the JP player pool. The downside is that I'd have to pay ps plus just for this one game as I don't use anything else.
Meanwhile PC seems to be locked to steam's download region (or has this been fixed?) and is still secluded into PC players only. There is also the valid risk that - and this risk increases with time - there will be cheaters as this game has 0 protection (hell, even if it had protection, cheaters often still find ways) and the sort of person who cheats doesn't give a frick if it's coop or pvp, they cheat because that's who they are. The plus side of PC is just better framerate and more convenient since I'm on my PC all the time anyway.
You can sell the gacha code from the PS version and buy like three months of PS+ with it. Playing with the japs is funny as frick and no cheaters either. People are already reporting Proud bosses getting oneshot by cheaters on PC.

This has been fixed. I haven't ran into any cheaters, and the PC version has lots of players and has been keeping strong numbers.

proto bahamut is easily doable with ai as long as you farm damage cap sigils and max their mastery/weapons, you just have to save a full burst for the damage check at the end
Its not that hard. I cleared it with 17k pwr main with 10k on my bots. The only thing is remembering to tell them not to use ougi until you pop yours unless you're trying to simulate online

Nothing in particular. I guess since both moves have pretty similar hitboxes it wont really make a difference. I realized jump launch was a good move and great for canceling but I never realized JUST how strong it was compared to Ferry's other attacks.
i think it's more the case that ferry's other attacks are just really weak. there's no reason a basic air loop should do much more damage than the moves that actually interact with her kit, like the charged light attack and hold onslaught
imo if i were to change things, i'd give the pink glow charged light attack much more oomph so it's actually worth it to charge and increase the damage the pets do during onslaught. it's very silly that they do the exact same damage per hit as their regular autoattacks during onslaught (ie very little)
also they should really fix the pets so that supplemental damage actually works on them it's extra dumb on ferry because she has a supplemental damage buff, but 90% of her skills and the pet whirlwind on onslaught can't even proc it
fully holding onslaught takes about 6 seconds
damage: 1,841,266 - 323,992 = 1,51,7274
4 jumpspam loops takes about 6 seconds
damage: 4,626,568 - 2,23,0056 = 2,396,512

because there's no big OH FRICK phase during the entire fight. it's just a technical fight where you gotta dodge and be aware. the spinning cross phase is piss easy, just gotta run toward it and dodge into it. i gave up on the bubble because people are shit and never come to me anyway. they always run AWAY from me when a big dmg phase comes. like, if you see a vane in your squad, and a big dmg phase is up, stick close to him.

I feel like she is pretty hard to play because she needs to stand still like a melee turret in order to compete.
She keeps her combo with dodging, so I like to use the sigil that increases the amount of dodges you can have with her. The most annoying thing is fighting massive bosses like Bahamut since if they even move an inch you have to dodge reposition.

In Dawnfly (Iaijustu style) the trick is that you can't spam square like in Freeflutter. The idea of Dawnfly is to hold down square to do her big AoE attack, and press triangle when she glows to gain a butterfly and instantly switch to freeflutter. Spam square in free flutter, once she does her spinning finishing move she'll glow at the end of it, press triangle, hold down square to charge up her AoE, throw in skills here and there.
Basically you want to build up butterflies which you get by perfect stance switching, use a skill once you've got a good number of them, typically something like Setsuna which is among the harder skills to master due to charge time, and her skill that does different things depending on stance.

You can charge it directly after the stance change attack or you you can use a skill and then charge it. Unless you begin in dawnfly close to an enemy, there is no reason to 3 square attacks and then charge it.

in order to get your mirror images you need to get three stacks,in order to get three stacks you gotta deal dmg yourself. at certain times it's impossible to deal dmg to bosses. the bubble is a much better defensive mechanism because it's ready to deploy under any circumstance.

It's a different style of game so it heavily depends on whether you like the action, however they did a great job with presentation so if you liked grubble and it's world you will not be disappointed in that regard. Also there's a ton of shit that they "translated" from the turn based mobage into this real time action (items, mechanics, skills, buffs and debuffs that sort of stuff) so you'll have no problems grasping the game's mechanics while also enjoying the nods and references I guess. At least that's how it was for me, I quit the gacha like two years ago but I felt at home almost immediately.

damage cap is a thing because it's to stop you from just slotting in nothing but attack mods so that you can have some actual build flexibility
you have 4-5 slots dedicated to capping, maybe 3 or 4 more for actual damage, but then the rest is your choice
The real issue with damage cap is that there's no indicator that you're hitting it. They just have to add an outline to the damage numbers or give it a different color.
I always thought it would be cool if damage capped numbers were rounded, so if you keep seeing numbers like 57.000 or 100.000 you'd know something was up

So I finished all of the story (including the post credit) and have entered Maniac difficulty but still have 6 hidden achievements. I assume one is for clearing the final Bahamut raid but what are the others and why? I thought achivement got hidden for story spoilers but there shouldnt be any left
There are some trophies for doing story stuff too. Like doing that Baha vs Baha fight without taking a single hit for example.
there's 2 for doing some gamer moves in chapter 4 with the turrets, 2 for taking no damage in the 2 fights where you play as bahamut, 1 for redoing the whole story in chapter select but on Ultimate and 1 for Proud Versa

I accidentally discovered it after getting good rolls and quitting without saving.
Just so you know each save is a seed, so after you save scum you have to do a quest to reset the shop seed otherwise you'll get the exact same sigils.
