It baffles me how fricking bad nips are at making games with complex mechanics and systems. They all think that their players are braindead moronic. Their RPGs always have extremely basic shit with like 3 stats, HP, ATK and DEF. And even in rare cases like Relink when they try to make a more complicated system they try to hide as much information as possible. It's as if players will be scared if they see more than 2 numbers on the screen.
I feel like meter bot Gran has potential for good cheese, like a three chain DPS into a link into another another three chain could probably skip most bosses bullshit.
There's a skill that prevents other players' healing from affecting you. For enmitygays. But, really, there's no point running Enmity, when the damage cap is so low. You just risk getting killed by an enemy sneezing at you and gain nothing. But, I guess, some people run it just for the atk mod with no enmity.
Finally beat this with a pug. I changed some sigils around to get super tanky surviability and not compromise my damage / cooldowns at all. This is the first time I saw a Katalina player as well but she seems like really solid support, she was spamming out heals and her invuln skill which kept the other 2 guys alive.
Is yoda's ascension weapon even that good I'm pulling my hair out trying to grind these fricking vitality hooves that never fricking drop and even +1'ing it it's still worse stat wise than his crit/stun weapons
don't need to waste mats on ascension upgrades when you can just use the crit weapon for bahamut 100% fine

Anon this has been the formula for nearly every video game. Just look at all MMOs and its even sadder. Most of the time the final raid weapon is only used to clear the final raid quicker and then is immediately outclassed by the first grey piece of gear once an expansion comes out.
Better gear is about getting your clear times down, making it easier to clear, and then at least for us. We are gonna use this gear to clear the super boss Luci next month
Back then in WoW late endgame gear was just to flex on noobs. Trust me I'm a boomer and I raided OG naxx. The only reason people cared about the loot was because others would see you

i'm using tyranny, injury to insult, combo booster, stamina and crit damage which just about allows me to comfortably hit auto cap
Monhun is a lot harder
I didn't die to any boss in granblue, meanwhile in monhun you're dying all the time it's a lot harder
Also the combat is completely different. Monhun is about learning boss patterns, relink is more about reacting to MMO-lite visual clues
I feel like at some point you really should just be able to do it with an AI team.. IIRC 17k lead with 9kish average party should be just enough damage to clear the last DPS check
I mean I was able to solo it with no ai and no deaths. So I assume as long as you gear up your ai with guts and autorevive you shouldn't be too cucked.
From what I noticed when I did it with the AI they're pretty good at dodging everything except for the bloodthirst attack with the ground shockwaves mixed with the spinning lasers usually one of my 3 ai partners dropped during that attack.
The problem with AI isn't them dying, they rarely die. They just don't do a whole lot of damage compared to a real player, and are finicky when it comes to reviving you. In very large arenas like Bahamut they can be so far away from you they just won't help.
this is why you should atleast have 3 other characters fully build for AI party, they are always good at dodging, while matchmaking is a luck mixed bag

What is the best Fortitude Crystal Grind? Trying to upgrade all this shit is draining all of them.
It's probably not the best way but I farm them at The Phondam Isles - Extreme. You get 7-10 large crystals and some of the medium ones too in around 3~ minutes.
I was spamming Know Your Enemy in maniac, 5-9 Large fortitudes and mats you'll probably need to upgrade sigils. Or you can do the single fire dragon in proud which gives 5 but you can sell the mats for vouchers

The game is pretty balanced, you can beat the highest difficulty with any character. It's just that no one wants to play as an ugly male midget or an old man

Works fine all the way up to the "filter" fight that unlocks the final difficulty with little to no grinding, after that you probably need to grind a bunch.

The story mode is only 10~15 hours depending on your pacing. It's honestly pretty short, but you'll get lots of kino set piece moments throughout it.
But the story mode is basically just a giant tutorial, the game opens up after the first time you see the credits roll. Then it opens up even more when you see credits roll for the second time.
So, I found Siegfriend's skin with the helmet down really cool, so I want to main him.
But how do you build him? What sigils? I already standard damage stuff like damage cap, but is there anything else I should look out for?

If you are doing a low tier mission they are likely doing quick match.
Quick match lowers your stats so much you are weaker than you would be at that level, so it mostly balances out.

Mind you we weren't able to replicate that most of the time and then he also played Narmaya and only managed a pretty typical 1.5-.1.7M with her.
I was using the crit weapon and almost matched the score because score isn't about dmg only, which is why Rosetta gets so much of it.
So I don't really think there was cheating going on.
Empty Mist has a base (with 100% offense masteries) cap of 12318, 20317 with his unupgraded Terminus weapon. Near the start of the video he does it with a cap of 192382.

the first two will try to give you attack and hp most of the time and the rolls will generally be lower. At endgame you'll be wanting the cap increase masteries
Nah, the grind is just longer. Don't listen to morons who say you can't take AI into Proud. Just build them defensively and give them a heal spell. As long as they have damage cap they're decent. And from what I've seen the AI is far more competent at surviving mechanics.
Then he should just save edit or solo it and not ruin it for everyone else. I don't get why anyone would pay $60 buckaroos just to cheat all the way through.

Cheat is not just about exploding the boss though. People could be giving themselves bonuses that you can't really notice. For instance if someone has a 30% extra damage cheat on you wouldn't really be able to tell by playing with them once.

As fun as this game is, the encounter design is absolute ass.
Multiple bosses, clearly untested, put together with this ass targeting system with adds and random oneshots coming from an angle you cant see due to the camera makes this a miserable experience for most of the content in high difficulties.
Single bosses are cool but they have some moronic untelegraphed attacks.

i think they added some insane modifier for cascade to ferry like 0.01x because of her multihit moves. if i were to guess, the same dude who forgot to make her pets work with supplemental also forgot to code the pets to contribute to cascade hits, so it's literally just her whip hits with insanely bad modifiers

especially with supplementary damage
I just did some very quick unga bunga testing on Ferry cooldowns. Lv 13 Quick Cooldown and Cascade. I used Strafe and hit start on stopwatch, then hit it again when the skill came back up.
54.86 second cooldown doing nothing (pets hit 'til about the halfway mark then despawn)
50.66 seconds holding X (pets stay up the whole time doing this)
52.43 seconds jump looping (pets despawn around a similar time as doing nothing)
So I presume Cascade does something but it's really not a whole lot, there, definitely not what 1% of the cooldown per hit would suggest.
Furthermore I tried Strafe->Hinrichten and got:
54.85 do nothing (hinrichten)
48.16 hold X (hinrichten)
51.26 jump loop (hinrichten)
So I can fairly definitively say that supp works on Cascade. Cascade probably doesn't benefit from the pets at all, and those don't benefit from supp. The generic CDR effects are kind of underwhelming it seems.

Half the skills work like that. Drain and Regen also does frick all, because it's healing capped.

I just noticed PBaha is Dark. Well, not surprising, but still. That's a huge elemental advantage to Light characters. Until everyone gets lucky enough for an elemental sigil of their own.
There are two uses of invincibility.
1. To shield shitters from AoE spam during bloodthirst and such.
2. Bubble over an immobile enemy to let the party just beat on them, maximizing the damage, without having to worry about the fight's mechanics.

The defence boost and stout heart buff ONLY kicks in during the actual charge. If you skip it through talents like doing Ids squarex3 into instant triangle it won't proc.

The merchant sells a basic version of both, one for golden orbs, one for materials.
You can later gamble for + versions that come with either both traits in one sigil or another trait.

I like how Id plays a lot. Great for gap closing, can still attack from ranged, has ignore damage flinching built into his transform on the offense tree and you are transformed most of the time. Biggest drawback is no healing.

there is no install. It's a dll file and ini file. You put the dlc IDs in the ini file and it unlocks in the game.

There's a skill that prevents other players' healing from affecting you. For enmitygays. But, really, there's no point running Enmity, when the damage cap is so low. Finally beat this with a pug. I changed some sigils around to get super tanky surviability and not compromise my damage / cooldowns at all. This is the first time I saw a Katalina player as well but she seems like really solid support, she was spamming out heals and her invuln skill which kept the other 2 guys alive.

Ascension weapons take off after the 5th upgrade, it takes some time.
halfway through it'll give damage cap and the last bonus puts the attack at 4200ish with a +1 to all sigils

Anon this has been the formula for nearly every video game. Just look at all MMOs and its even sadder. Most of the time the final raid weapon is only used to clear the final raid quicker and then is immediately outclassed by the first grey piece of gear once an expansion comes out.

i have untouchable but the character i'm using needs all the atk mods just to counteract flight over fight so i don't have any sigil space left. dps is still important, the goal is to convert the excess attack power that would be wasted by dmg cap into uptime and cdr with nimble onslaught

I feel like at some point you really should just be able to do it with an AI team.. IIRC 17k lead with 9kish average party should be just enough damage to clear the last DPS check
I mean I was able to solo it with no ai and no deaths. So I assume as long as you gear up your ai with guts and autorevive you shouldn't be too cucked.
From what I noticed when I did it with the AI they're pretty good at dodging everything except for the bloodthirst attack with the ground shockwaves mixed with the spinning lasers usually one of my 3 ai partners dropped during that attack.
The problem with AI isn't them dying, they rarely die. They just don't do a whole lot of damage compared to a real player, and are finicky when it comes to reviving you. In very large arenas like Bahamut they can be so far away from you they just won't help.
this is why you should atleast have 3 other characters fully build for AI party, they are always good at dodging, while matchmaking is a luck mixed bag

It's probably not the best way but I farm them at The Phondam Isles - Extreme. You get 7-10 large crystals and some of the medium ones too in around 3~ minutes.

The story mode is only 10~15 hours depending on your pacing. It's honestly pretty short, but you'll get lots of kino set piece moments throughout it.
But the story mode is basically just a giant tutorial, the game opens up after the first time you see the credits roll. Then it opens up even more when you see credits roll for the second time.

All cap being so huge was a mistake. It should had been conditional cap ups, like extra % if the enemy is breaked/OD/poisoned. Also cap up party buffs

If you are doing a low tier mission they are likely doing quick match.

I was using the crit weapon and almost matched the score because score isn't about dmg only, which is why Rosetta gets so much of it.

Cheat is not just about exploding the boss though. People could be giving themselves bonuses that you can't really notice. For instance if someone has a 30% extra damage cheat on you wouldn't really be able to tell by playing with them once.

As fun as this game is, the encounter design is absolute ass.
Multiple bosses, clearly untested, put together with this ass targeting system with adds and random oneshots coming from an angle you cant see due to the camera makes this a miserable experience for most of the content in high difficulties.
Single bosses are cool but they have some moronic untelegraphed attacks.
Multiple boss encounters have always been a clusterfrick in most games and didn't expect less from this one. I just S++ them and never do them again.

As far as I know not for most regular attacks . Not locking on doesn't really work either because the camera forces weird angles in many fights.
Zeta's counter is really off to me, i feel like it can't block half the attacks in this game. I guess it doens't work on AOE attacks?

Start with 5 DMG Cap . You'll figure out the rest.
You probably want cascade so you can get more Setsunas and counters, you also want the butterfly count special sigil

They do but there's a cap, check the traits to see the max level. Cascade's 20 max iirc, you can go for quick cooldown if you have it too
Combo booster is probably the best sigil after damage caps. I'm not counting super rare sigils like supplementary and elemental.

I just did some very quick unga bunga testing on Ferry cooldowns. Lv 13 Quick Cooldown and Cascade. I used Strafe and hit start on stopwatch, then hit it again when the skill came back up.
54.86 second cooldown doing nothing (pets hit 'til about the halfway mark then despawn)
50.66 seconds holding X (pets stay up the whole time doing this)
52.43 seconds jump looping (pets despawn around a similar time as doing nothing)
So I presume Cascade does something but it's really not a whole lot, there, definitely not what 1% of the cooldown per hit would suggest.
Furthermore I tried Strafe->Hinrichten and got:
54.85 do nothing (hinrichten)
48.16 hold X (hinrichten)
51.26 jump loop (hinrichten)
So I can fairly definitively say that supp works on Cascade. Cascade probably doesn't benefit from the pets at all, and those don't benefit from supp. The generic CDR effects are kind of underwhelming it seems.

There are two uses of invincibility.
1. To shield shitters from AoE spam during bloodthirst and such.
2. Bubble over an immobile enemy to let the party just beat on them, maximizing the damage, without having to worry about the fight's mechanics.

Yeah they're all quest bosses, even the giant robot though it's considerably streamlined.
I like how Id plays a lot. Great for gap closing, can still attack from ranged, has ignore damage flinching built into his transform on the offense tree and you are transformed most of the time. Biggest drawback is no healing.
I like that the extra characters actually have lines once in a while. I heard they didn't participate at all.
