No not really, you can just MVP your luck and get multiple the sigils that let you do superior elemental damage against everyone and put those on them. And if you cared about running on element teams you wouldnt be running the same one against all bosses, you would want all of them to be the advantage element. But you cant even make full teams for all elements

Yeah, they've added that specifically to discourage savescumming. But I meant in general. If you forge or upgrade something - you can reload. But in case of rolling for sigils in Relink you can't savescum easily either, because the result will be the same, until you complete a quest (abandoning doesn't work either). But, yeah, you can rollback the resources you've spent.

Fun fact: PS doesn't have the option to turn off autosave. You can't cheese the system there. It's how the game was meant to be played. It's only you PC autists who have to get their shiny OP Meta minmaxxed builds on day one, causing the online to die out instantly. You don't need to turn off autosave for savescumming, because the game doesn't fricking autosave after you pull transmarvels. I found it the hard way after I quit after good pulls and then did a quest when I played later, only to then realize my good sigils I pulled were gone.

Eugen + Veteran's VIsion + Concentrated Fire. With enough Damage Cap/ATK you'll do well over 120k and that lets you OHKO slimes in rapid firing sniper mode.

Transmarvel specifically, not the regular transmutations.
You're gonna want to save your game, roll what you've got, and then reload if you didn't get what you wanted. The seed for transmutations and transmarvels reset after doing a quest, so you can savescum it to avoid spending dozens of hours grinding for a specific Sigil.

relink also made me interested in its lore, watched the anime before starting with the game... would have liked if the fate episodes would actually give you more infos and backstory from the mobile game. so far, only the first 2 to 3 episodes give you some informations, the rest is relink stuff i don't really care about.
The entire tier lists centers around "party play" and relies on you babying morons and the potential to be useful to the party at the upcoming Luci fight.

This makes it even more moronic then since she places in the lowest tier a character with a permanent team-wide 35% DEF buff (in a game where you can't go over 45k HP without losing a lot of DPS but have a lot of moves that one-shots people under 50k), debuff purge and who generates way more stun and Skybound gauge than other characters for mechanics skips through Link time and Skybound Arts.

The Ghandagoza take is especially annoying because the fricker sucks so much. I wanted to play him but you never get to keep your stacks no matter how much boss pattern knowledge you have. I switched to Id because technically his damage is lower, but keeping up and cycling through your Dragonform is easy as shit so you basically have slow for the entire fight and Godmight looping is pretty fricking good damage still.
I played through the story... and honestly it's not as godawful as what the word of mouth has been saying. Sure it's not gonna be a memorable experience or anything but it plays really straight and concise without any useless padding like most jrpgs. I've been liking the post game quests though but at what point should I get serious with my sigils? I'm in extreme right now with Cag-Charlotta and it has been pretty easy so far even with undercooked sigils.
Eh it's still pretty much a jrpg though, even with its short as frick mediocre story. It just takes design elements that are rarely seen in most jrpgs like the mh/pso questing structures and heavy emphasis on boss battles

Support in this game is a meme, every character has some form of self sustain/ buff which doesn't stack with with other damage buffs (damage buffs are useless anyways because of the damage cap). The only useful support skills are the ones that slow.
the unique gene isn't good. it doesn't restore much cd at all. sieg and vas have versions that are much better. after you use djeeta's skills, it takes a while for the level to fall back down. you don't get cdr from the level going down, only up. so you need to use your skills, then wait for the level to drop, then build the levels back up... but then you will be in a state where each one of your skills either a) was held back from being used earlier, defeating the purpose of reducing your cooldowns in the first place or b) its on cooldown so you can't use it to reduce your level
all in all, it is a painfully stupid anti-synergy to give her. sieg's makes sense, vas' makes sense. djeet's sucks
I'd rather play several characters at a lower power level than having just one main. There's too many playstyles that I like and I don't really care about pushing endgame content

The AI dodges perfectly well and as long as you don't die like a moron the fight is perfectly doable.

The ascension weapon is not better than the other weapons in terms of damage. It doesn't have catastrophe like terminus weapon, so you're hitting the same dmg cap anyway, only you've wasted much more resources doing it.
They probably did work for many characters that ended up dropped because they just wanted to finally push the game out. Ghanda's VA died so dropping him out of the cast would have felt painful so instead they finished it so that the man could have his last role shown to the world
He honestly might be the worst character in the game. His raging fist does a ton of damage, but it is basically unusable as most bosses are just too fast. Doing a full combo to get rage is really hard.

Terminus weapons increase your damage cap with their Mastery effects. Actually equipping it gives an even higher damage cap due to Catastrophe.
I went from ~17k to ~23k damage per hit with Lancelot when I got mine. That might be why you're falling behind.
You mean an extra cap over the cap, or just the cap up skill? Because I'm at +250% damage cap from the skill already. There ARE quite a few people with blue glowing weapons online.
They have Mastery effects similar to the ones you find at the end of your character's Offense tree. "Increase damage cap of [Normal Attacks / Skills / Skybound Art] by 10%" and the last one gives a further 10% to all three.
Catastrophe is a unique effect that I also believe stacks on top of your regular damage cap.

And to make it worse they then manage to come up with those absolute KINO Bahamut moments and make you realize how much better the game could've been if it wasn't scrapped like 10 times at this point.

I don't play that much jrpg, probably only around 10-15, but their stories and especially characters range from absolutely terrible to okay at best. That's why I never try to mind them too much.

For example after every normal attack charge, you should do a Stargaze lv2.
Those don't use orbs and you do more DPS this way, on top of faster gauge
Also at the opener you should do a no-cast flowery to get it on cooldown asap and not lose a link attack

Proto is a perfect scenario for Eugen. Totally stationary boss, no adds, anything you have to watch out for the melee would have to watch out for as well, moments where you can DPS when melee cannot and an arena where you can reach any target at any time.
Some stationary target dummies that die in a couple hits aren't adds that will run up to you or hit you from your blind spot. All of their attacks have huge AoE or line markers.
I hate that basically every fight past the early ones has cutscene transitions for their super moves, it is very jarring and they really need to weave those into NOT taking away control of your character. Even my favorite fight (Pyet-A) is guilty of this shit. Dumb SBA should also remove the fricking character splash as well as it fricks up timings for some characters.

Transmarvel specifically, not the regular transmutations.
You're gonna want to save your game, roll what you've got, and then reload if you didn't get what you wanted. The seed for transmutations and transmarvels reset after doing a quest, so you can savescum it to avoid spending dozens of hours grinding for a specific Sigil.

The Ghandagoza take is especially annoying because the fricker sucks so much. I wanted to play him but you never get to keep your stacks no matter how much boss pattern knowledge you have. I switched to Id because technically his damage is lower, but keeping up and cycling through your Dragonform is easy as shit so you basically have slow for the entire fight and Godmight looping is pretty fricking good damage still.

I played through the story... and honestly it's not as godawful as what the word of mouth has been saying. Sure it's not gonna be a memorable experience or anything but it plays really straight and concise without any useless padding like most jrpgs. I've been liking the post game quests though but at what point should I get serious with my sigils? I'm in extreme right now with Cag-Charlotta and it has been pretty easy so far even with undercooked sigils.

Support in this game is a meme, every character has some form of self sustain/ buff which doesn't stack with with other damage buffs (damage buffs are useless anyways because of the damage cap). The only useful support skills are the ones that slow.
the unique gene isn't good. it doesn't restore much cd at all. sieg and vas have versions that are much better. after you use djeeta's skills, it takes a while for the level to fall back down. you don't get cdr from the level going down, only up. so you need to use your skills, then wait for the level to drop, then build the levels back up... but then you will be in a state where each one of your skills either a) was held back from being used earlier, defeating the purpose of reducing your cooldowns in the first place or b) its on cooldown so you can't use it to reduce your level
all in all, it is a painfully stupid anti-synergy to give her. sieg's makes sense, vas' makes sense. djeet's sucks

The ascension weapon is not better than the other weapons in terms of damage. It doesn't have catastrophe like terminus weapon, so you're hitting the same dmg cap anyway, only you've wasted much more resources doing it.

He honestly might be the worst character in the game. His raging fist does a ton of damage, but it is basically unusable as most bosses are just too fast. Doing a full combo to get rage is really hard.

Terminus weapons increase your damage cap with their Mastery effects. Actually equipping it gives an even higher damage cap due to Catastrophe.
I went from ~17k to ~23k damage per hit with Lancelot when I got mine. That might be why you're falling behind.

I play it for the world, exploration, character building. The story is just there, but it's usually ranges from inoffensive to good.
Relink's structure of just going through a tiny level fighting trash mobs that pose 0 threat to beat a boss and move to the next chapter is very bad.
The story is so bad it actively hurts the enjoyment.
And to make it worse they then manage to come up with those absolute KINO Bahamut moments and make you realize how much better the game could've been if it wasn't scrapped like 10 times at this point.
Won't be surprised if all the good parts were done by Platinum before they got the boot.

For example after every normal attack charge, you should do a Stargaze lv2.
Those don't use orbs and you do more DPS this way, on top of faster gauge

Proto is a perfect scenario for Eugen. Totally stationary boss, no adds, anything you have to watch out for the melee would have to watch out for as well, moments where you can DPS when melee cannot and an arena where you can reach any target at any time.

I hate that basically every fight past the early ones has cutscene transitions for their super moves, it is very jarring and they really need to weave those into NOT taking away control of your character. Even my favorite fight (Pyet-A) is guilty of this shit. Dumb SBA should also remove the fricking character splash as well as it fricks up timings for some characters.
