He's got block key held down for some of that so it doesn't really count as true AFK. I have true AFK'd all those fights though but nihil managarmr is really really touch and go. Usually only get by with very little rez bar left.
not all are blocking 24/7 but having your block button held down by something while you afk doesnt interupt the "afk" sequence for it to keep repeating so really it hurt anything

It hurts me when I wanna alt tab and look at other stuff or work when I'm afking while WFH. I need the AI to do everything without any babysitting or input from me, which they do but sometimes bosses like managarmr will just aoe so much that they can't rez me in time.

well I play on console so no problem for me I guess, my team personally can afk wolf and viel even which is considered hardest mission? but I haven't tried it without block bumper being held down

I find biggie smalls easier than nihil managarmr simply die to their AoE being much less threatening. The AI basically never die during them but managarmr they have a hard time finding a good spot to hide behind and die, along with me dying and the AoE phase lasts forever so the rez timer is just bleeding out. The damage in biggie smalls on myself is more spread out so my tankiness keeps me alive better.

I've given up trying to get double trait supplementary damage and war elemental. I already have nearly perfect sigils that can easily clear any proud mission. They already confirmed they are raising the level cap to 150 which will make baseline characters even stronger and with this there will probably be a new difficulty mode along with potential new tier of sigils making all of our current gear worthless. The relink grind never ends.
I just noticed on the website that the Lucilius update is shown as free but that there will be additional paid dlc as well. Should I expect anything out of the ordinary for the paid dlc? I'm assuming it'll just be some extra skins and not a new character or something.

Going from a maxed Awakened weapon to a fresh Terminus weapon (only changing my sigil to drop to 40k HP, so I got dropped to a lower level of Damage Cap as well until I upgrade the Terminus weapon) more than doubled my damage shit is goofy. I have no idea how they're gonna tune Lucifer either he's gonna require the 50 hour grind to get a character maxed to even get anywhere in the fight or he's gonna be a total joke for anyone with a terminus weapon, I don't see there being a middle ground.

I made it to Proud, finally. Am I bad or was the Bahamut Versa quest really butt clenchingly tense? I failed it the first time because someone died too much, and it almost happened again on the second go.
No one knows other than speculation how the game handles drops for characters you do not have yet if one could have dropped. For instance I already had all my characters unlocked while my friend had only half of his and I got all my weapons long before he even got his mains. It is all luck.
Until someone datamines it we have no actual idea.
It could easily be the case that if Bahamut "would" have dropped a weapon for a character you don't have yet you just get nothing, right now we don't know.

Bots are easily capable of farming maniac missions S++ as a 3 man squad if you leveled their weapons and gave them good sigils, just equip your AFK character with revive / regen / defensive sigils and you're good
Improved dodge makes the i-frames bigger, but it doesn't actually increase the perfect dodge window. But it's a lot better since it can be rolled as a secondary
No it just gives you atk debuff.
You just stack tyranny, stamina and some other damage boosting shit to counter it (combo boost, that one where u cant get healed etc) because of how scaling works.
Also I'm BiS anyway. I can get like 3-6%more dps on a dummy if i go regular max dmg but in a real fight i have 8sec+ of invulnerability (lv30 nimble onslaught and 16 nimble defense) and just MVP/top dps everything because frick mechanics.

Really an insane thought? >iron maiden -> all your light attacks now attack every enemy current spawned several times with roses, in practice. your attacks also can't be cancelled >spiral rose -> you use this when iron maiden is on cooldown and it does pretty much the same thing >rose tycoon -> instantly brings all your roses to a boss and poisons it
there is even more buffs you can pull off with skills. Admittedly it's a little inconvenient with really mobile bosses but the idea is you time rose tycoon correctly, iron maiden then wail at it from a distance while keeping the buffs up.
The buffs I recall are, at rose level 4 (which is going to be all the time) 30% dmg up, 30% dmg reduction (you can get even better than 30% with rose barrier) and hp regen. Her reach is huge so you just cycle through the 3 buff combos from a distance.

Y distance is good, makes it a little faster than sprinting forwards and you don't drop your flurry. The backstep gets a lot more useufl too. You can ditch the Stinger pretty effectively if you have it and use Southern Cross or Mirror Image in that slot instead.
White Dragon's Glory kinda sucks since you're probably already hitting the cap from his built-in combo booster from his masteries + crits.
I just want more flatties and e-girl characters. She's already in the game so it shouldn't be as much work to tweak her boss moveset to make it usable.

Honestly the game doesn't even require min-maxxing. People just get autistic over it. Everyone flips out having to use 6 sigil slots for damage cap but even without all that bosses die in a few minutes anyway. Just pick whatever character you find fun and build them in whatever way you find fun and you will beat everything the game has or ever will have.

Unlock their skills and keep their health upgraded from the defense tree at least.
I stopped upgrading their weapons at Lv75 until I wanted to play as them myself.
Depends on how often you play with your AI party vs online really. You can get away with basic upgrades for them but trying to fully min/maxing multiple different characters all at once is going to be a huge drag.
I mostly play multiplayer so I just focus on upgrading one character at a time based on who I want to play.
Probably skill attacks. They don't get supplementary damage tho. I maxed out her terminus weapon just to put her in my party for AFK AI farming. Vines do some work.

I mean if you want to take longer to kill things sure? Breaking all parts means you just get more munitions, only the tail means anything. And 2 full bursts means you probably saw firefly twice.
It's not that much longer because the fight is all just cutscenes while the boss has 90% damage reduction. But I get guaranteed drops from each break and from each side objective.
The key is to SKIP the cutscenes, at least the 2nd firefly. His other parts are almost always munitions. You want his cell which is a tail break sometimes and chest drop sometimes, the other materials you will have in droves just farming for cells.
Pretty much. The difference between a full damage cap+ team and a team built in a different way is only like 1-2 minutes of the fight. Damage cap breaking is just an autistic bait meme.

Going from a maxed Awakened weapon to a fresh Terminus weapon (only changing my sigil to drop to 40k HP, so I got dropped to a lower level of Damage Cap as well until I upgrade the Terminus weapon) more than doubled my damage shit is goofy. I have no idea how they're gonna tune Lucifer either he's gonna require the 50 hour grind to get a character maxed to even get anywhere in the fight or he's gonna be a total joke for anyone with a terminus weapon, I don't see there being a middle ground.

You need a stone with Damage Cap 7 and Damage Cap 5 on the 2nd and 3rd lines which is probably rarer than getting a Supplemental Damage+

Yes while the character you're "controlling" is decked out in the heaviest defense and health gear you have.
Bots are easily capable of farming maniac missions S++ as a 3 man squad if you leveled their weapons and gave them good sigils, just equip your AFK character with revive / regen / defensive sigils and you're good

Improved dodge makes the i-frames bigger, but it doesn't actually increase the perfect dodge window. But it's a lot better since it can be rolled as a secondary

Also I'm BiS anyway. I can get like 3-6%more dps on a dummy if i go regular max dmg but in a real fight i have 8sec+ of invulnerability (lv30 nimble onslaught and 16 nimble defense) and just MVP/top dps everything because frick mechanics.

Rosetta can activate, but importantly not detonate eugens grenades. She does this for each time she hits. And she hits a LOT.

there is even more buffs you can pull off with skills. Admittedly it's a little inconvenient with really mobile bosses but the idea is you time rose tycoon correctly, iron maiden then wail at it from a distance while keeping the buffs up.
The buffs I recall are, at rose level 4 (which is going to be all the time) 30% dmg up, 30% dmg reduction (you can get even better than 30% with rose barrier) and hp regen. Her reach is huge so you just cycle through the 3 buff combos from a distance.

Y distance is good, makes it a little faster than sprinting forwards and you don't drop your flurry. The backstep gets a lot more useufl too. You can ditch the Stinger pretty effectively if you have it and use Southern Cross or Mirror Image in that slot instead.
White Dragon's Glory kinda sucks since you're probably already hitting the cap from his built-in combo booster from his masteries + crits.

Is this game meant to have all characters geared? I'm almost 200 hours in and I can't even minmax my main character still. I wanted to try other characters but I have terrible sigils for them.

You can grind towards it if you want but you can just focus on 4 if offline or only 1 if you grind online.
Honestly the game doesn't even require min-maxxing. People just get autistic over it. Everyone flips out having to use 6 sigil slots for damage cap but even without all that bosses die in a few minutes anyway. Just pick whatever character you find fun and build them in whatever way you find fun and you will beat everything the game has or ever will have.

I've been playing with my friends on proud and only one of us doing the damage-cap sigils and bosses all die insanely fast.
There are other ways to deal damage and help a team that involve things besides pure attack damage depending on who you are playing.

Never do quick quest. Honestly you are so weak in there that AI would be more useful than you.
Quick quests are good for farming rare materials. I find trading in gold tokens is faster than farming for some of the parts (Depending on which part)
Grind pbaha for terminus
Grind centrums, exceptional refinium, and fortification crystals
Grind mastery and azurites from slimes
The problem with Bahamut is the same as shit like Lao Shen or the Mohrans in Monster Hunter, cool setpiece really fricking lame to farm since its all very scripted.
Try out new characters. Try out new builds. Pretty much just frick around until new stuff comes out.
Or just play something else.

Should I be upgrading all the characters I use in my party for solo stuff, or just the ones I actually play as?
Unlock their skills and keep their health upgraded from the defense tree at least.
I stopped upgrading their weapons at Lv75 until I wanted to play as them myself.
Depends on how often you play with your AI party vs online really. You can get away with basic upgrades for them but trying to fully min/maxing multiple different characters all at once is going to be a huge drag.
I mostly play multiplayer so I just focus on upgrading one character at a time based on who I want to play.
When I do random quest is there a way to know what difficulty I got?

Probably skill attacks. They don't get supplementary damage tho. I maxed out her terminus weapon just to put her in my party for AFK AI farming. Vines do some work.

I mean if you want to take longer to kill things sure? Breaking all parts means you just get more munitions, only the tail means anything. And 2 full bursts means you probably saw firefly twice.
It's not that much longer because the fight is all just cutscenes while the boss has 90% damage reduction. But I get guaranteed drops from each break and from each side objective.
The key is to SKIP the cutscenes, at least the 2nd firefly. His other parts are almost always munitions. You want his cell which is a tail break sometimes and chest drop sometimes, the other materials you will have in droves just farming for cells.
Its not that hard to break all of Pyet's stuff cause his health is actually pretty high

Pretty much. The difference between a full damage cap+ team and a team built in a different way is only like 1-2 minutes of the fight. Damage cap breaking is just an autistic bait meme.

You can. I've done that playing goofy builds as well though. Nothing in this game is difficult if you aren't moronic and if you are moronic then the last sort of build you should be doing is damage-cap.
Some characters have pathetically low damage caps you will reach without even finishing extreme though
Name who specifically and I can tell you at least 3 builds that are more fun (And arguably more useful) than spamming damage cap on them.

It's true, I expected much more difficult stuff in proud. Only 2 really hard fights were bahamut unlocking proud because of loe geared shitters and wolf and the veil because too much going on.
Oh and I should have done fate quests I suppose to unlock the 2 final sigils.

Any proud mission if your AI can handle it, just sell the extra materials you won't ever need like orbs and shit.
