That was only some of them, though. Others were mortals, others were monsters, and others were even other Astrals. And some were just built new. As long as you have even a piece of a functional primal crystal, you can make anything a primal.

Main crew is hard to rate since they pretty much get Danchou's "as powerful as necessary" power at a smaller scale. So it would be close to something like that:

He's noted as an unknown variable at the start of a simulation, the current Siete is unlikely to reach his other world version's power since the event that triggers him to go down this path didn't come to pass.

Playing Zeta without camera lock on certain bosses is so impossible. Randomly jumping to another a body part or pyet drone really fricks with your tempo.

Gran/Djeeta are mid-range normally, on the level of stuff like the Feendrache Knights. When channeling Bahamut's power they are among the strongest, and when using their timeline condensed power they are outright one of the most powerful, but that requires both Lyria and Shitori to be channeling.

So I've just beaten Proto Bahamut. Do I just keep farming him now for the terminus weapons or should I go back and try and get 4 V+ damage caps and other sigils to complete my build? Also what's the best way of getting those insta max sigil things cause upgrading them manually with mats is insufferable.

That one quest called like "firey lizards" or w.e also drops dmg cap+. I think it's either the fire dragon with fire quakediles or a double dragon quest. Much faster than Proto.

You spend time dodging stuff instead of button mashing, which results in less dps in general.
Though In some fights like vs proto bahamut, you don't need it. But against Pyet-A ,for example, it's helpful.
If you tank a hit on proud that's going to kick you out of Stamina range. That's a DPS loss. Meanwhile a perfect dodge with Nimble Onslaught is beneficial to you.
Arguably, Stout Heart is nice to have for damage reduction passives all characters have in their Mastery Tree. However, I'm not 100% sure if it works with the Stout Heart sigil. Because the sigil does not actually seem to put the yellow Stout Heart buff on you.
I'm willing to bet good money that they're going to make those sigils easier to get in post release content. I'm just going to get terminus for my main and some good damage cap V+ and leave at that.

If you get hit by anything fighting Proto you're a dumbass. It's probably the only Proud quest where everyone is running glass cannon because it's so telegraphed.

I played solo up until halfway through proud and I just 100% my main first. Hell I killed versa with at least one AI party member having no points allocated beyond what they started with.

Same as everyone else mostly, 4x dmg cap, tyranny, stam etc. You generally want a quick charge on her as well though since both her pink stance atks and setsuna benefit from it.

I think the play now is to just pack skilled assault and use uncharged Setsuna. Butterflies only speed up charging while damage stays the same, but if your uncharged Setsuna already caps then you won't need to charge it anymore. You also won't need to build up butterflies for one of your skills.
I only have 1 skilled assault but I also added LOTL from the usual stamina tyranny combo. This should let you do around 1-1.1m + 1.3m with a raw Setsuna uncharged.
I also have some combo booster on my wrightstone so if I pad some hits before an uncharged Setsuna then I can get the capped 1.3m+1.3m. Usually I go for pink petals, kyoukai and then straight into setsuna as an opener.
that makes sense to me trying her out on pyet, since you can maintain butterflies easily with her sigil or buff and it can be very difficult to find time to use a charged setsuna

Blue with improved dodge+nimble lets you get to a combo finisher without dodge offset, while pink has huge range and the stance switch attack is also ranged. With the discovery of uncharged Setsuna, the only skill you really want maxed butterflies for is blue Transcient. Kyoukai is would be ideal also but you'll be using it as a gap closer on demand most of the time.
The biggest issue if you're just learning her is honestly getting your stance switches when there are a million light shows, effects, and overlaying bodies on your character, and keeping track of what stance you're actually on in the heat of battle.

You can an achievement and a sigil that gives you a raw boost in attack. People say the sigil is horrible, but it’s not bad to have since it outclasses every attack up buff you could have

Yeah, fully awakened both Io's and Charlotta's, and semi-awakened (until the DMG cap 5 level) for 3 more weapons. I just have utterly shit luck on curios/bahamut runs, but decent luck on centrums. I could do an afk farm on the infernadile quest for curios, but I just can't be fricked now

With her signature skill you literally have to press Y to get invul and it has a huge window, it works both when jumping and when you press the finisher button.
It's very good for when you have downtime with her invul skill.

Most of your damage comes from skills. Combo booster is good despite what other people say cause it caps you on damage quickly. Mirage is better than the status avoidance.

I think Proto Bahamut is probably the single best boss in the game but god damn am I sick of fighting him. I really wonder what the frick they were thinking locking the super important final end game weapons behind ONE fricking quest. Like they could have made it a chance drop from any Proud difficulty quest and it would have been way better.
The fight is a nice change of pace with the ship guns and the presentation is top but it ultimately suffers from the arena itself limiting the attack angles. I honestly never thought about which fight is "the best" cause all of them usually have some sort of tedium.
How come sometimes when I inflict Para on Protobaha he's either down for a nice 4-5 seconds or he just says "frick you" and gets up immediately? Is CC time also rng? It's the first proc.
From my experience if you para him when he's in break it will stop it and he'll just leave. Sometimes when I've done it in between sbas he'll also leave somehow. But usually it's fine. On the first knockdown he will leave at 80% if he isn't para'd or glaciated though.
Do it with AI, it's hard but fair, and extremely satisfying when you finally get it.
If you play online it will be finished before you can truly appreciate it.
For me, it's improved dodge, maxed nimble onslaught and maxed uplift. I want more quick cooldown but I've got barely any decent V+ with it on.

I think it depends on the character but on my Ferry it's really useful for maintaining ghost uptime on her. I managed to get a Improved Dodge+ that has nimble onslaught on it and I never take it off.
Ferry gets really poor usage out of Cascade, I would strongly recommend it.
15 quick CD and some Nimble Onslaught goes really well, though, since you can dodge any time you like while JOOMPING

Sorry, strongly recommend AGAINST it, my bad. I tested it two weeks ago so before I had supp damage, but Cascade lv13 was giving me about 3.6 seconds on Strafe's cooldown going Strafe->Hinrichten and spamming jumps for the full duration, so just about 6% cooldown reduction. I suppose that's not awful for one sigil slot, but I certainly wouldn't choose it. My current and probably final sigil loadout until Faa-san comes out is pic related, with 9 crit 9 guts on my wrightstone.

Yes, it's very rare that stacking multiple of the same damage sigil is a good idea. You get more out of having more multipliers than you do out of making one multiplier bigger. There are exceptions but they... probably don't apply to Ferry. There's a video about an Io build getting a lot of damage out of combo booster or Tyranny or something double dipping on SBA damage and with how well Ferry can build SBA gauge that might be something worth copying notes from, but in regular gameplay, Ferry is both one of the few characters that can really consistently benefit from how strong Combo Booster is, and one that needs more than average damage sigils to cap her important attacks (her launcher) even with the disgusting damage she gets from the defense debuff and 40% attack from having all pets up.

All characters have the same kind of weapons type: Defender, the HP weapon, Stinger, crit weapon, etc. and Ascension is a weak weapon at first but can be strengthen further than any other type, bar Terminus.
Ascension is good and the gear progression worked fine in the first week when everyone was still going through the game.
I awakened my first character's Ascension and only had a few bahamut failures until I got terminus, all of which were the rare "pub fricks up the last DPS check at 1% by not triggering link time or 2-2chains/fullbursts with us" or "pub repeatedly dies and the critical bar fails" tier failures.
Tbh it feels like most people complaining about their bahamut pubs failing are the people rushing in with crit weapons and expecting to get carried, only to fall apart when everyone else in the party is expecting the same thing. You CAN clear just fine with everyone only using crit weapons, but it will be significantly slower and that also assumes that everyone is playing well and has good sigils. Most of the time, someone walking in with just a crit weapon isn't even at level 65 damage cap and is just using level 11 sigils.

The weapon with +ATK and +HP, it has a whole extra upgrade system that involves awakening it. Terminus weapons have the same system and are stronger though.
Your captain's plot sword counts as one, look at the weapon category underneath the weapon name. Talk to Siero once you get far enough into the game and you'll be able to awaken it by dumping resources you get from Maniac into it.

For a game that's so fast paced, there are way too many ways to frick with the player and stop the fight in its tracks with cutscene attacks and flashy nonsense.
I can confirm that the normal fire wyrm quest does indeed drop damage cap+ so if you want to farm them specifically you don't need to do proto bahamut.

that doesn't just mean your buffs either, it means weaving in dodge cancels in your combo to fish for invincibility, weaving in lunge to gap close, etc, so you can unga even harder
he hits his caps pretty easily so run some defensive sigils to help you
if you're running with 3 top dps chars who know what they're doing you're going to feel behind no matter what you do, but you still provide some of the best unga buffs in the game

They might emphasize her being a sharpshooter and play more like Eugen but if they play into her passive of hitting all targets with regular attacks she'd probably play more like Rackam. I managed to get a crit rate V+ with dmg cap, but i can't remember if it was from a boss or transmarvel. I think it was transmarvel because I remember being in shock at it.
Right after Overdrive, like any boss. Or if you're near an HP threshold, when it goes into Bloodthirst even without overdrive. I don't quite remember the exact Hp % when it does though.
There isn't an accurate way to judge relink because it doesn't make sense. Katalina shouldn't have area if Rackam doesn't have Tiamat, Eugen Levi, and Io Rosetta,
After some consideration, I decided that after you're at the damage cap, the single most important skill to have is Uplift. Faster/more ougi just lets you get around so much bullshit, even without knowing the phase skips. Ouging the boss just makes it sit there, doing nothing, letting other party members to do free damage uninterrupted.
I can't go without at least one uplift now. It's even better on characters who already get SBA fast at base level. I have it maxed on Io and I can use SBA ahead and still get enough meter to SBA along with the rest of the party assuming they don't have uplift or not a party of Ferries.
I think having at least one uplift is important but the thing is you don’t have a say in how randoms build their character so stacking uplift usually means everyone else is too slow to follow up your ougi.
I also think stun is severly underestimated. Having your big skills immediately fill the break gauge is pretty neat when you only have a split second to break the boss (like timing proto bahamut down time) to enter Link Time

Basically yes, Extreme was the real slog of this game for me. Just make sure you've got 4 decently levelled/built characters for chapter 0. After you complete that it gets a lot more fun
If you want to play more than one char it can become very tedious. The amounts of mats it takes to upgrade a weapon with the lack of proper endgame quest for them. Most stuff you get from spamming maniac right now and it's honestly not fun on the long.
I wouldn't find it ridiculous if they had actually decided to make a PSO clone. It'd be very lenient in fact. As a single player JRPG with very limited online and whose support will end in a few months however, it's unnecessary. Curios in particular don't need to exist. Sigil RNG is enough.
My main problem with the grind is there aren't enough quests that focus drop resources. Money is super easy to get because there's the slime quest but weapon upgrade rocks and other such generic mats are a massive pain in the ass. The quantity you need to upgrade a weapon to 150 takes fricking hours of grinding. It unironically takes longer to grind the fricking rocks than it does to actually get the terminus weapons in the first place.
It's been sitting at a fairly consistent 1k or so players lately, so it's decent for fighting game standards.
The playerbase had a noticeable decline over time however.

I think the logic was playable characters have their butt easily visible if you play the game. Hell, if you sprint with Ferry her butt is immediately visible and the skirt basically covers nothing. Meanwhile Lyria is an NPC. Yes she can follow you around but you gotta find her first in the city and even then she won't follow you to quest. After that you gotta find her again in the city if you want her to keep following you around.
Because they love Lyria and can't bring themselves to do anything worse to her than making her wear shoes.

It hardly seems much worse than the usual granblue localization standards. It's always been full of memes and out-of-place gags. Most of the characters' names aren't even translated correctly and many just have completely different made-up names compared to JP, while much of the games' terminology was completely overhauled.
It's not great but unfortunately that's just how cygames rolls; all their localizations are done in-house.
After you complete the main story, all episodes will be fully available by then, you should do them specially for the characters you use because they give you stats boosts and sigil slots.

Sieg, Ghanda, and Yoda are not only strong enough to be invited to be the Eternals, they'd outclass a majority of the current members actually. The only Eternals that are actually exceptionally strong are Siete, Okto, and Uno. Song and Niyon are the strongest of their type of combat style but the rest are Siete's nepo hires.

Though In some fights like vs proto bahamut, you don't need it. But against Pyet-A ,for example, it's helpful.
If you tank a hit on proud that's going to kick you out of Stamina range. That's a DPS loss. Meanwhile a perfect dodge with Nimble Onslaught is beneficial to you.
Arguably, Stout Heart is nice to have for damage reduction passives all characters have in their Mastery Tree. However, I'm not 100% sure if it works with the Stout Heart sigil. Because the sigil does not actually seem to put the yellow Stout Heart buff on you.

I've been maining Ferry for like the entire game but I got Narmaya's weapon as my first terminus weapon so I was thinking of trying her out. Is she good? How do I play and build her?

Same as everyone else mostly, 4x dmg cap, tyranny, stam etc. You generally want a quick charge on her as well though since both her pink stance atks and setsuna benefit from it.

Stance rotation between pink and blue to generate butterflies, then use skills for big dick dmg.
I think the play now is to just pack skilled assault and use uncharged Setsuna. Butterflies only speed up charging while damage stays the same, but if your uncharged Setsuna already caps then you won't need to charge it anymore. You also won't need to build up butterflies for one of your skills.

I only have 1 skilled assault but I also added LOTL from the usual stamina tyranny combo. This should let you do around 1-1.1m + 1.3m with a raw Setsuna uncharged.
I also have some combo booster on my wrightstone so if I pad some hits before an uncharged Setsuna then I can get the capped 1.3m+1.3m. Usually I go for pink petals, kyoukai and then straight into setsuna as an opener.

that makes sense to me trying her out on pyet, since you can maintain butterflies easily with her sigil or buff and it can be very difficult to find time to use a charged setsuna

it doesn't feel great of course but she's one of the top damage dealers and everyone wants to play her so just join the bandwagon and do it.

Make what easier? I only use the +1 butterfly one, the 50% chance to not consume is not consistent obviously and I dislike that a lot. Can also be hard to see if it actually procs or not.
The 2 stances give you enough flexibility to easily cap butterflies. Blue with improved dodge+nimble lets you get to a combo finisher without dodge offset, while pink has huge range and the stance switch attack is also ranged. With the discovery of uncharged Setsuna, the only skill you really want maxed butterflies for is blue Transcient. Kyoukai is would be ideal also but you'll be using it as a gap closer on demand most of the time.
The biggest issue if you're just learning her is honestly getting your stance switches when there are a million light shows, effects, and overlaying bodies on your character, and keeping track of what stance you're actually on in the heat of battle.

I don't think Improved healing affects Drain. It's specifically for characters' own active healing skills like the spellcasters in the crew have.

Most of your damage comes from skills. Combo booster is good despite what other people say cause it caps you on damage quickly. Mirage is better than the status avoidance.
I actually love using his timed combo because I like the finisher. For the skills the stun damage upswing seems like a must.

I think Proto Bahamut is probably the single best boss in the game but god damn am I sick of fighting him. I really wonder what the frick they were thinking locking the super important final end game weapons behind ONE fricking quest. Like they could have made it a chance drop from any Proud difficulty quest and it would have been way better.
The fight is a nice change of pace with the ship guns and the presentation is top but it ultimately suffers from the arena itself limiting the attack angles. I honestly never thought about which fight is "the best" cause all of them usually have some sort of tedium.
The only bad fight in the game is the giant desert robot. The entire fight is everything wrong with proto bahamut but with none of the good points

How come sometimes when I inflict Para on Protobaha he's either down for a nice 4-5 seconds or he just says "frick you" and gets up immediately? Is CC time also rng? It's the first proc.
From my experience if you para him when he's in break it will stop it and he'll just leave. Sometimes when I've done it in between sbas he'll also leave somehow. But usually it's fine. On the first knockdown he will leave at 80% if he isn't para'd or glaciated though.

For me, it's improved dodge, maxed nimble onslaught and maxed uplift. I want more quick cooldown but I've got barely any decent V+ with it on.

I think it depends on the character but on my Ferry it's really useful for maintaining ghost uptime on her. I managed to get a Improved Dodge+ that has nimble onslaught on it and I never take it off.
Ferry gets really poor usage out of Cascade, I would strongly recommend it.
15 quick CD and some Nimble Onslaught goes really well, though, since you can dodge any time you like while JOOMPING

Sorry, strongly recommend AGAINST it, my bad. I tested it two weeks ago so before I had supp damage, but Cascade lv13 was giving me about 3.6 seconds on Strafe's cooldown going Strafe->Hinrichten and spamming jumps for the full duration, so just about 6% cooldown reduction. I suppose that's not awful for one sigil slot, but I certainly wouldn't choose it. My current and probably final sigil loadout until Faa-san comes out is pic related, with 9 crit 9 guts on my wrightstone.

Yes, it's very rare that stacking multiple of the same damage sigil is a good idea. You get more out of having more multipliers than you do out of making one multiplier bigger. There are exceptions but they... probably don't apply to Ferry. There's a video about an Io build getting a lot of damage out of combo booster or Tyranny or something double dipping on SBA damage and with how well Ferry can build SBA gauge that might be something worth copying notes from, but in regular gameplay, Ferry is both one of the few characters that can really consistently benefit from how strong Combo Booster is, and one that needs more than average damage sigils to cap her important attacks (her launcher) even with the disgusting damage she gets from the defense debuff and 40% attack from having all pets up.

I feel like they misjudged how difficult terminus weapons are to get and how easy the grind for ascension weapons are.
All characters have the same kind of weapons type: Defender, the HP weapon, Stinger, crit weapon, etc. and Ascension is a weak weapon at first but can be strengthen further than any other type, bar Terminus.
Yeah pretty much, the ascension weapon is theoretically better, but there's barely any point in investing in it because terminus exists
Ascension is good and the gear progression worked fine in the first week when everyone was still going through the game.
I awakened my first character's Ascension and only had a few bahamut failures until I got terminus, all of which were the rare "pub fricks up the last DPS check at 1% by not triggering link time or 2-2chains/fullbursts with us" or "pub repeatedly dies and the critical bar fails" tier failures.
Tbh it feels like most people complaining about their bahamut pubs failing are the people rushing in with crit weapons and expecting to get carried, only to fall apart when everyone else in the party is expecting the same thing. You CAN clear just fine with everyone only using crit weapons, but it will be significantly slower and that also assumes that everyone is playing well and has good sigils. Most of the time, someone walking in with just a crit weapon isn't even at level 65 damage cap and is just using level 11 sigils.
The weapon with +ATK and +HP, it has a whole extra upgrade system that involves awakening it. Terminus weapons have the same system and are stronger though.
Your captain's plot sword counts as one, look at the weapon category underneath the weapon name. Talk to Siero once you get far enough into the game and you'll be able to awaken it by dumping resources you get from Maniac into it.

I can confirm that the normal fire wyrm quest does indeed drop damage cap+ so if you want to farm them specifically you don't need to do proto bahamut.
PBaha drops Stamina V+ and Tyranny V+ in addition to Damage Cap V+. Not to mention Terminus weapons, for people who are still farming those.

he doesn't, his strength is his uptime, abuse everything you can to be in the bosses face at all times
that doesn't just mean your buffs either, it means weaving in dodge cancels in your combo to fish for invincibility, weaving in lunge to gap close, etc, so you can unga even harder
he hits his caps pretty easily so run some defensive sigils to help you
if you're running with 3 top dps chars who know what they're doing you're going to feel behind no matter what you do, but you still provide some of the best unga buffs in the game

After some consideration, I decided that after you're at the damage cap, the single most important skill to have is Uplift. Faster/more ougi just lets you get around so much bullshit, even without knowing the phase skips. Ouging the boss just makes it sit there, doing nothing, letting other party members to do free damage uninterrupted.
cascade and quick cooldown are way more important.
if you ougi more than twice in a raid, either the raid took to long or you are using ferry exploit
I can't go without at least one uplift now. It's even better on characters who already get SBA fast at base level. I have it maxed on Io and I can use SBA ahead and still get enough meter to SBA along with the rest of the party assuming they don't have uplift or not a party of Ferries.
I think having at least one uplift is important but the thing is you don’t have a say in how randoms build their character so stacking uplift usually means everyone else is too slow to follow up your ougi.
I also think stun is severly underestimated. Having your big skills immediately fill the break gauge is pretty neat when you only have a split second to break the boss (like timing proto bahamut down time) to enter Link Time

Basically yes, Extreme was the real slog of this game for me. Just make sure you've got 4 decently levelled/built characters for chapter 0. After you complete that it gets a lot more fun

I wouldn't find it ridiculous if they had actually decided to make a PSO clone. It'd be very lenient in fact. As a single player JRPG with very limited online and whose support will end in a few months however, it's unnecessary. Curios in particular don't need to exist. Sigil RNG is enough.
My main problem with the grind is there aren't enough quests that focus drop resources. Money is super easy to get because there's the slime quest but weapon upgrade rocks and other such generic mats are a massive pain in the ass. The quantity you need to upgrade a weapon to 150 takes fricking hours of grinding. It unironically takes longer to grind the fricking rocks than it does to actually get the terminus weapons in the first place.

linktime -> fullburst -> linktime is more damage overall, but you don't need the extra damage when you can just 2chain -> 2chain for a kill. Not to mention that CC abilities exist which make the loop all the more trivial; you have more than enough time to melt the current proud bosses with an endgame party.

It's almost entirely because everyone is overgeared and farming for min-max reasons. Link Time into Full Burst into Link Time is better -- even when you take into account that the Full Burst damage is most likely capping, the extra Link Time dps more than makes up for it -- but like
said you don't need the damage.
There are multiple factors at play here.

I think the logic was playable characters have their butt easily visible if you play the game. Hell, if you sprint with Ferry her butt is immediately visible and the skirt basically covers nothing. Meanwhile Lyria is an NPC. Yes she can follow you around but you gotta find her first in the city and even then she won't follow you to quest. After that you gotta find her again in the city if you want her to keep following you around.
Either way, everytime she follows me for quests i can't help but be stuck for at least 15 minutes trying to search for the best possible upskirt camera position, its like her ass is in HD its so fricking good, i might be crazy here but it sure looks like it is

It hardly seems much worse than the usual granblue localization standards. It's always been full of memes and out-of-place gags. Most of the characters' names aren't even translated correctly and many just have completely different made-up names compared to JP, while much of the games' terminology was completely overhauled.
It's not great but unfortunately that's just how cygames rolls; all their localizations are done in-house.
