More like art direction peaked in 2008, there are still several technical flaws with Mirror's Edge like the poor color management, the inaccurate specular, the low lightmap resolution, the lightmap compression artifacts and the character model shading
literally just had this happen to me playing it on the deck. Game was running great, get into an office building with guys shooting at me and suddenly it turns into a slideshow.

You can also improve performance by making the game use your latest driver's PhysX instead of the game's PhysX

yeah, I figured that out and switched it off. It's easier to just turn it off instead of try to fix it since I don't really know what I'm doing with the whole linux/windows thing on the deck.
Mirrors Edge is prime for a comeback on PS5 with the haptic controller and a massive 'movie game' budget. the parkour is still fun to this day. all they have to do is put high dollar cutscenes inbetween all the gorgoues levels and make it seamless. so easy i know. but a female protag, anti corporate greed story, and cyberpunk aesthetic, it has all the elements the overlords love to shove down our throats. so it's really just a matter or whether or not EA is capable of making a good game ever again
Frick real-time shit, I'd rather have baked-in lighting. Imagine how the game would look with the same art style on current hardware. Still one of the best looking games in my eyes and it came out 15 years ago.
What do you think baked lighting is done with moron
It's just now computers are strong enough to do it in real time instead of precomputing it into baked textures
I went back and played this recently, like not even a month ago. Graphics aren't half bad considering how old it is. The only problem is that the gameplay is very clunky now. Still better than the reboot imo.
Faith is a miracle of the universe and the perfect wife.
there needs to be more porn of her getting railed by five dicks at the same time
5 dicks on 1 pussy makes you at least 5/6th gay.
or just a Black person
Or that, yeah

>launching mirror's edge
*sips*
i hear the music in my head
One of the few times I don't mind it.
Seriously why did they make it so fricking bright
Great game but I almost needed sunglasses
should I give catalyst a go? never bothered playing it
you should, after one hour you either love it or hate it
its a moderately fun time as long as you dont go into it with high expectations
i enjoyed it in the moment but compared to the OG ME it's a joke
meant for
i peaked in your mom 2008 times
Mirror's Edge is a beautiful game but i'd say that Cyberpunk 2077 and Baldur's Gate 3 are also beautiful.
>turn the nvidia whateverthefrick™ feature on
>smash glass
>game now 1fps
good times

It's the PhysX shit, turn it off.

win10 is built for movie simulators

works fine on pc, memevidia drivers still include PhysX
>nvidia shit works fine on nvidia cards
Oh wow.

The last good EA game came out over 10 years ago.

do you like counter strike 2's graphics
We can have baked lighting quality in real-time with ray tracing
Gay tracing is cancer and only exists because devs are too lazy and shit at their jobs.

mirrors edge is peak art design
mirror's edge and battlefield 3 were 10 years ahead of their time
>UH UH THEY AREN'T REAL GRAPHICS CAUSE PRE-BAKED LIGHTING OR SOMETHING
Still bangs 15 years later
The better Still Alive. This song kicks ass. What a great way to finish the game.
proper art direction and style*
