Them's Fightin' Herds. Talented artistics, musicians until one of the quit the team due to having too little to do, even the combat designer used to display a lot of competence.
Management let them spend a whole year doing literally nothing, not even putting out balance patches, while still paying them, then because they ran out of money from this they sold to a publisher who demanded ports to every console and four DLC characters in a year. Now bugfix patches take months to get approved by Nintendo so nobody gets them, the new characters are rushed and not properly tested, and the people who didn't quit the game because of the patch drought are considering quitting because of the new bugs and DLC.
They also have one of the most hostile "community managers" I've ever seen, lightning quick to insult people for asking questions or posting polite criticisms. People have left because of him too.
In 2021 the game was a "mistakes into miracles" situation but the management has squandered all the goodwill they built up and drove away almost everyone who took their game seriously
