It doesn't even begin to compare to incredible plot twists such as Bioshock's "would you kindly", Aerith's death and Cloud/Sephiroth pasts in ffvii, the numbers in black ops or ghost's death in mw2, or Nicaragua's events and Josephina's incident in black ops 2. Or the Faiths' dream in ffx. God even that stupid way of storytelling that from games use have a better plot twist than that in elden ring (Radagon is Marika).
If you ask me, Dennis' true plan gradual reveal is a bigger twist, since you first get to know N during the adventure, watch him beat the champion, then enter N's room, and finally fight Dennis after him. I'm not saying BW storytelling is bad, it's pretty good. But not THAT good

Like, the only other interpretation of that cutscene is that this is something that happened in the distant past and history is repeating itself, which would lead to the player reaching the exact same conclusion by that point anyway.
