What is going on with Torque in GT3 ?

>look at torque rating in car in my garage
>47.1 ft-lbs
Trying to do any conversion with newtons to ft-lbs still doesnt make sense.
No one really mentions that this is a glitch. And this is before any car mods. I dont get it.

wrong, it's better than the PS2 GTs by virtue of having section shortcuts

it was mindblowing at the time
just splitting the car dealerships into cardinal directions was a first shitty choice
then having to go back in to each instead of just a standard tune shop sucked. Also the part descriptions sucked
Every racer had replays
Every sports game had replays for that matter
having replays is fine
being forced into them, then having to navigate around them just to play fricking sucks
gt3 wants you to watch it more than play it
GT games were tech demos more than anything else.
