>zoomie
it came out in 2008 idiot. Do you call people who didn't like fallout 3 zoomers? (you call them nv trannies).Do you call people who didn't like dmc4, cod waw, l4d, persona 4, dead space etc zoomers? Use other insults, homosexual.
Doing another playthrough of GTA IV right now, still the best GTA out there. The attention to detail for a 2008 game is insane. I'm playing the CE with DXVK, FusionFix, VariousFixes and Realistic Driving and Flying.
Only the driving mod changes something. The other ones are bug and performance fixes. Mostly bringing parity with the console version (the PC version has a lot of issues and missing effects/graphics).
As expected, not a single word about it's boring missions where you ride to one place, shoot one guy or maybe 5 guys (better missions) and then go back, probably avoiding cop chase along the way (which is super easy). Least fun GTA game.
That worked for the heavier and older vehicles in the game but sports cars and other lighter vehicles should not have flatout 1 tier suspension and tire grip.
I agree, that's why GTA4's driving is ass. Every single car is unresponsive and feels ready to tip over at any moment. GTA4 is the reason I stopped playing GTA and never even tried 5.
no im saying you only think the driving is bad because you're more like a woman than a man. and women suck at driving because they have smaller brains and lack spatial awareness. gta 4 has a fine engine for driving and combat, the many awesome gaming memories and clips i still have are proof of that.
take.
indeed it was you fricking yokel, ho ho
Every single car is responsive in a way that matches the rest of the physics of the game. You can actually do shit like drift and power slide because of the physics.
In GTA V if you want to drift you have to push the drift button.
Cars in real life respond more quickly than any car in GTA4, plus in real life you have the added benefit of physical feedback from being inside the car which you don't have at all in a video game.
>2008 >GTA4 releases >Players: "bro these cars handle like ass, bro" >2023 >Guy who played GTA4 when he was 10 is now posting on Ganker/v/ >"Nooooooo you guys it's actually an underrated hidden gem!!!! New bad!!!!!!"
Interesting
I'm a zommie who grew up with IV and loved it, but the more and more I replay it, the more I realize how much I don't truly enjoy it. There's just so much wrong with it.
gta4 had some interesting technology for the time but the game was a step back from SA and it sucked all the fun out of the series. And no, GTAV didn't fix anything, it just added a bunch obnoxious reddit tier humor. the open world feels dead in both.
The driving in IV was serviceable, but it wasn't on par with other strict racing games, arcade or sim lite.
The driving in V is far worse.
Now that I think about it, I found the driving in Just Cause 3 to be better than IV except for the motorcycles, holy shit those were awful.
>have to chase down bikers >be sneaky and take a car insted of designated bike >try to ram biker boss ASAP >he's invincible until getting to last section >it's like hitting a brick wall and I get sent flying out through the windshield
Frick GTA4
I don't care about the driving, I hope they bring back NPC drivers more resistence to crashes
In gta 5 those mfs can barely survice anything, in IV you could hit them with a bus and they are like 'this is fine'
>WHAT DO YOU MEAN I CAN'T TAP THE E-BRAKE AND IMMEDIATELY DRIFT? >WHAT DO YOU MEAN I CAN'T PULL A 90 DEGREE HARD RIGHT TURN DOING 120 MPH WITHOUT SPINNING OUT? >WAAAH IT ALL FEELS LIKE BOATS!!! >BOATS!!!
lmao maybe you should get good homosexual different cars handle differently
imagine getting filtered by the concept of "vehicle handling" in a game where most of your time is spent stealing cars and driving
>this webm of a modded game is trustworthy
just admit you're too moronic to understand what feathering brakes mean
also >see i can't turn in 2 seconds while accelerating!!! >its a bad system!!!
i am worried about your understanding of physics anon
better keep up on that physical science homework
What do you mean I can't just full throttle every single car and never stop even though the car engine is screaming at me that I'm not supposed to drive like that?
It's never too late to join the grind, I'm sure thee's plenty of top chaps on >>>/vg/ who'll be happy to give you a cool million start-up funds and get you banned for hacking.
Not him, but every tome I have asked about making money illegitimately I never get any suggestions. I ended up quitting the game because it was a nightmare. Reinstalled it on xbox because it's sometimes enjoyable to mess around in, but the grind is so insufferable and downright insulting that I don't really want to try that crap again. I only ever made 3 million if I grinded all say without taking really an breaks, barring a 3x bunker sale event, where I got like 5 million. I didn't feel rewarded at all for grinding as hard as I did, and if I didn't grind and just played to enjoy it, I'd get little to nothing.
Gta V actually had some decent deformation, it just took way too much pressure to get to that point. I used to use pic related to crush cars and see how bad I could get them without blowing them up.
Base game and some dlc vehicles have good deformation, but the rest, specially most dlc cars don't.
Worst part it's apparently just a variable that locks the deformation and it can be increased to even reach GTA IV levels.
Anyone who says this just outs themselves as people who don't know how to drive lol. Cars made in the last 20 years don't handle like buicks with blow out suspensions, especially not sports cars lol.
GTA 4 was the worst and least memorable title in the series
if you didn't even consider playing it from start till finish, sure zoomie it might seem like it
I played it at release and beside the graphic it was mediocre, stfu you nostalgiatard
talk shit about gta 4 again and ill be sure to frick ur sister, yokel
>zoomie

I bet you haven't even played GTA2
>arcade seethers
Go back to your sims like DCS you NERD.
the cars all control like boats
Car damage and euphoria npc movement is superior.
Frick gta iv gray filter.
FusionFix has an option to disable the filter.
Realism isn't fun
Doing another playthrough of GTA IV right now, still the best GTA out there. The attention to detail for a 2008 game is insane. I'm playing the CE with DXVK, FusionFix, VariousFixes and Realistic Driving and Flying.
gta4 with a few mods is peak gaming
>best gta out there
>playing with all these mods that change shit
lol okay
atleast you can mod gta4 to be even better, you cant turn a pile of shit like gta5 better with mods
Only the driving mod changes something. The other ones are bug and performance fixes. Mostly bringing parity with the console version (the PC version has a lot of issues and missing effects/graphics).

I don't think I've ever taken on a single mission in any GTA game. I just steal cars and kill people and frick hookers.

I think FusionFix already includes FusionShaders
Rockstar made the cars slow because the map was much smaller and more confining than SA.
GTA4 vehicles felt like driving giant boats on land. It fricking sucked.
That worked for the heavier and older vehicles in the game but sports cars and other lighter vehicles should not have flatout 1 tier suspension and tire grip.
I agree, that's why GTA4's driving is ass. Every single car is unresponsive and feels ready to tip over at any moment. GTA4 is the reason I stopped playing GTA and never even tried 5.
>t. woman driver
a man adapts
>GTA4's driving is good because you can get used to how awful it is and compensate for it
moronic take.
no im saying you only think the driving is bad because you're more like a woman than a man. and women suck at driving because they have smaller brains and lack spatial awareness. gta 4 has a fine engine for driving and combat, the many awesome gaming memories and clips i still have are proof of that.

Cars don't respond instantly in real life either. I will never understand the "le boats" autists.
Cars in real life respond more quickly than any car in GTA4, plus in real life you have the added benefit of physical feedback from being inside the car which you don't have at all in a video game.
I just reinstalled IV and I thought about modding the driving but I decided not to to keep the soul.
looks comfy
babies hated it and cried about it because it was too difficult for them to handle the superior physics
Why have you ran over a man with a funny hat?
I was checking if these men drop more cash on average, but they don't (I ran one over and he dropped loadsamoney).

anyone remember these moronic vids
I'm a zommie who grew up with IV and loved it, but the more and more I replay it, the more I realize how much I don't truly enjoy it. There's just so much wrong with it.
It's because of car licensing, they don't let you show damaged cars
The driving in IV is dog shit.
gta4 had some interesting technology for the time but the game was a step back from SA and it sucked all the fun out of the series. And no, GTAV didn't fix anything, it just added a bunch obnoxious reddit tier humor. the open world feels dead in both.

you dont even need to drive in JC3 with the wingsuit
arcade ?
its semi-arcade and is not arcade enough for the first franklin race that shit is extremely annoying
>have to chase down bikers
>be sneaky and take a car insted of designated bike

sorry OP but San Andreas is still the best GTA. Imagine if they had current hardware to develop that game in 2004.

True.
If you played at least half of a game and didn't understand how car movement works in said game you're crearly moronic
What do you mean I can't just full throttle every single car and never stop even though the car engine is screaming at me that I'm not supposed to drive like that?
Why don't 360 kiddies obsess over what few good games they had? They're like even worse GC kiddies.
Some GTAO cars behave exactly like IV cars
I've never played GTAO and now I feel like it's too late. Oh well.
It's never too late to join the grind, I'm sure thee's plenty of top chaps on >>>/vg/ who'll be happy to give you a cool million start-up funds and get you banned for hacking.

It's awful. You can just mod the cars in on single player.
Gta V actually had some decent deformation, it just took way too much pressure to get to that point. I used to use pic related to crush cars and see how bad I could get them without blowing them up.
still nothing conpared to slamming a car into an absurd shape with a fire truck
Base game and some dlc vehicles have good deformation, but the rest, specially most dlc cars don't.
