GTA VI doesn't even seem all that interesting from the recent promos. Keeping the same more or less setting as GTA V (tropical / beach) feels kind of lame. I get re-using assets is probably a huge timesaver but it also results in a game that visually just looks like a modded version of GTA V.
Any release date announced years in advance is complete bullshit made up by higher-ups with no knowledge of the actual amount of work left to complete
"Falling behind" means management set unreasonable goals because they want to release ASAP to make money ASAP, and they finally hit a point where the engineers had enough ammunition to say that the goals were unreasonable

Nobody has any faith in a GTA game actually pushing any boundaries now, even V was lackluster already besides the novelty of having multiple main characters and a PC port that wasn't horrible. I want to be proven wrong, they can take all the delays they want to do so.
I just want to see what they do with the singleplayer story. I'm not expecting much though, 5 had too many lame setup missions for heists that weren't even that great and just to have characters like Franklin that have frick all reason to be there as an MC and a general lack of direction or urgency to the main story until it just abruptly goes "Pick an ending now"
Sequels are just a waste of fricking time now. It takes like 10 years to make the next one and 9/10 times it’s a letdown. Insomniac put out three Spyro games in as many years, Naughty Dog did the same thing three frickin great games in 3 years. MGS 2 came out 3 years after MGS 1 and it was like playing a game from a century in the future. The fact is this industry has been fricking destroyed by corporatism. This design by committee bullshit has ruined literally everything it’s ever touched. Everyone wants a piece of the pie but no one wants to bake it anymore, and some of them actively hate pie.
FRICK modern game companies, pirate everything even if it’s good because they did it on accident
