Am i the only one that just absolutely hates Trevor? I’ve played it 4 times and every single time I just get angry watching his scenes and listening to him talk. So much so that I gladly killed him off 2/4 times, and the only reason i didn’t the other two is because i wanted the final mission. I hate every single decision he makes, how he treats people, every single lime of dialogue, how unstable he is, and everything. Just a horrible character

Anyone who's not reddit is annoyed by trevor
>low IQ thread
idk man I find him funny.
I hate micheal though, he is a cuck b***h.
His whole character is...weird.
I expected some kind of big confrontation once he met with Michael for the first time (the fame & shame mission) but he was like "huh, you survived, took the money from our robbery (betraying your pals) and bought a nice mansion for your family...thats's nice".
He was very angry when he was on the car with Floyd going to los santos, as if he was hunting a traitor, but it was...all pushed aside?
I don't know, feels like bad writting.
leftist attempt at writing a trailer park character
they have to make him suddenly "reasonable" like when he randomly stands up for homosexual lifestyles despite being a homicidal killer
he is Canadian though
Canadians are scum bags, especially rural redneck types
underages and speedreaders posting their shit opinions about games stories are just tiresome
it was bad writing. the tonal shift is jarring. he's very angry in the car ride to the city, then after a few missions with michael, they're pals again like nothing happened. can't remember the mission but it ends in a quarry or a scrapyard or something, trevor is walking away and michael casually says, 'see you later trevor' to which trevor replies, 'you better believe it, buddy'. just didn't seem right, considering michael betrayed them all and got that other guy killed, then lived a life of luxury afterwards.
If you hang out with Trevor as Franklin he explains that he did not kill Michael because Jimmy and Tracy. But that is not clear in the main story.
Trevor is undyingly loyal to Michael, when they first met he saved Mike's ass by frying a dudes eye socket with a road flare and he helped raise and watch his kids. Seeing Michael wallowing and wasting away with his family brought Trevor back down. To the point that choosing to kill him in the end disgusts him and causes him to never want to associate with Franklin ever again stating that "You deserve each other."
You need to actually hang out with Jimmy and Michael, check LifeInvader and read emails when you're playing the game to actually uncover these story beats instead of jumping from mission to mission otherwise of course it's going to feel like an arcade-style setup.
He's in fact - may Allah forgive for uttering these words - safe edgy.
I've would've liked him more if they kept the downright uncomfortable level of edge established in his first mission
instead he turns into a lolsorandumb reddit clown for the rest of the game
He guts a woman and rapes her bf to submission literally 6 missions later once he goes to Los Santos
If you're a murderer that means you're also racist
Not trying to be the fricking voice of reason here but he doesn't need to be /misc/ to be deranged.
I'm not either, he doesn't need to go full stormfront, but I find it more believable that such issues wouldn't register on his deranged mind at all, and like
it would've been a nice subversion if the reason he did that was because he thought it was a slight against him being canadian.
>He guts a woman and rapes her bf to submission literally 6 missions later once he goes to Los Santos
which happens entirely offscreen and then they turn it into a joke about the moron thinking Trevor's covered in jam
The fact that they played it for laughs makes it even more disturbing, unless you're a gurogay that NEEDS to see an innocent woman get brutally murdered to get off.
they make one fairly predictable joke about it and then it never gets brought up again
>innocent
she's a c**t who literally pointed a gun at both him and her bf
we don't even know how "brutal" her death really was because it of course never gets shown. the only context we have is Trevor being covered in blood; he could've just as well nicked her artery and had her bleed out in seconds. you could say "well it's more edgy that they DON'T show it and leave it to the imagination" but that's just cope from pussy devs too scared to offend delicate sensibilities.
I was really disappointed with GTA5 because the characters were unlikable and not in a fun or interesting way
That resulted in the game’s repetitive mission design getting really old really fast
I didn’t like it frankly. I really liked 4 at the time. You cant have a narrative focused character driven storygame with boring narrative and bad characters and have it be good
How's GTA V singleplayer anyway ? All i see is people playing the online mode
Fun, but way too easy. Plus the writing is really obnoxious. Every single character is some kind of over-the-top caricature except for the black guy who is obnoxiously characterless
GTA V would be remembered as a massive disappointment by everyone instead of just bitter IV-loving millennials if not for the online mode raking in billions of dollars from zoomers.
it's fun, definitely worth playing. kind of annoying though, as the main heists and robberies in the story are done to fund other people's criminal organizations. you'll steal a few million, you'll walk away with five or low six figures most times. if you do play, make sure to look up the Lester assassination mission/stock market guide to get yourself a few billion by the end of the game
Its not like you use money for anything.
you can buy golf courses and shit to complete the gangster dream of going legit
GTAV is by far the worst game in the series. I beaten that game twice and only remember the first mission in the snow. All the characters are so forgettable. It should have been just Franklin and re-work his character instead of being a robot. Michael and Trevor are easily the most boring characters, is like they didnt bother writing some development for these people.
Trevor is proto rick
He needed to be more unpredictable, dangerous. I mean shit one of the first things you see of them is him talking down his friend only to kick the shit out of him and killed him by complete accident. For someone who is supposed to be unhinged drug user he doesn't end up acting like that later in the story. Even if he is your"friend" having to be around him should make you uncomfortable.
I find this game impossible to finish. Maybe because all the characters are as interesting as dishwater. It's the only mainline game I haven't beaten and not for lack of trying.
>racism is bad *eats human soup leftovers*
Because he was trying to appeal to too many people so you get this bipolar shit where sodomizing a man and his teddy bear is fine but border patrolling is bad
The border patrolling shit would've been funny if he took offense to it being a canadian immigrant himself. But instead they had him be a moralgay instead. Big missed opportunity. Also the cannabalism just comes out of nowhere and is barely mentioned, the frick is up with that?
>Im such an awesome cool bada.... AHHHHHHH HELP ME OH GOD IM BURNING PLEASE GOD HELP ME MY EYES ARE BOILING INSIDE MY SKULL OH GOD IM IN AGONY PLEASE GOD PLEASE KILL ME OH GOD KILL ME PLEASE HELP ME PLEASE KILL ME OH GOD
>I’ve played it 4 times
Why? Stop doing that to yourself.
>I just get angry watching his scenes and listening to him talk. I hate every single decision he makes, how he treats people, every single lime of dialogue, how unstable he is
That's me but with Michael.
I like Trevor. He is edgy in a self-aware way, you're not supposed to take him seriously. And despite killing people without flinching, he sometimes demonstrates great care for minor issues such as respecting women. It's pretty funny.
Michael, on the other hand, is a supposedly respectable man that treats his family like shit, then wonders why everyone abandoned him. He also betrayed his friends. Dude is basically a garbage person but everyone thinks he is cool because he "knows the streets" or whatever.
>anime avatar
eh
Everyone respects Michael because he was a famous bankrobber. Literally EVERYONE in the story shits on him constantly for being a piece of shit and a poor father, even Franklin despite how much he respects his abilities.
It's not until he loses his family that starts to put in the effort to mend the relationship.
Play the fricking game.
I know the people in the story call him out for that. It's the players that suck Michael's wiener non-stop while hating Trevor. But Trevor is a much better person than Michael imo. At least Trevor is loyal and values family. "Oh but he is unstable and kills random people" it's a fricking GTA game and these are obvious gags, get over it.
The other two characters are just as bad. Trevor is even worse when you realise he's written as a voice of common sense, or writer's insert but he's also le random like Morty or Brian from Family Guy.
There are aspects of his character that are salvageable. I thought him building a bumfrick arms dealer and drug trafficking empire in the sticks was cool. It's a shame it didn't get more focus.
What are the chances that Rockstar would kill him in GTA 6 to prop up the new protags?
At least his characterization stayed consistent. Micheal "five face" has his personality change by the mission and goes crazier then Trevor in some side missions.
Game is a 7/10 if they used IVs physics and Max Payne 3s shooting it would have been much better.
Shootouts in single player are not fun because of auto aim cops and boring car chases. Online is even worse cause of buttholes with flying motorcycles
To be fair the cops in GTA were always bullshit, it doesn't matter if you hide in the unlikely of some places or go somewhere they have no reason in a million years to believe you would go. They will still find you because they will always go to your current location.
Wish the c**t was canonically dead. He deserves it more than anyone, and I know he’ll be back in GTA6 because of fan service. Disappointing.
No way he's coming back, his voice actor resents the character now.
I bet he likes money though.
>his voice actor resents the character now.
What is his stated reason?
Unlike Ned and Fonteno, who have embraced the newfound fame, Ogg had a minor ongoing acting career at the time and doesn't like being typecast as Trevor from GTA V all the time. He gets super passive aggressive on any cameos people buy from him asking to do the Trevor bit.
All the good reason to kill the character then the same way Rockstar killed Burt Reynold's character in GTA LCS
Harrison Ford b***hed about being Han Solo for 30 fricking years and about how he'd never play him again, just to turn around and be cast as him in Force Awakens.
Stop listening to paid actors, their opinions mean nothing
>IV comes out
>Niko is a consummate professional killer who struggles with dark secrets from his past while trying to achieve the American dream (which he finds out is hollow and empty)
>95% of people really enjoy this but a loud minority say the game takes itself too seriously and the only fun mission is the bank robbery one
>V comes out
>Michael is a consummate (but retired) professional bank robber who struggles with dark secrets from his past while trying to cope with the fact that the American dream he achieved is hollow and empty
>also you can play as an edgy impulsive low IQ moron or a black guy if you happen to be either of those things yourself
V was a classic case of thinking you can make the perfect game by just blindly listening to whatever feedback you received after the last entry. The money it made from GTAO saved it from being considered a huge, annoying disappointment
GTA V is fun as frick though.
And Michael and Niko are not comparable. Niko is edgy and flaunts his le russian war crimes at every opportunity. Michael just robbed some banks and his "dark past" is something shown to the player on the very first minute of the game - the fact he betrayed his friends to keep all the money for himself.
goddamn the bank robbery in IV is awesome. i always recruit paki as a shooter in V
What makes it so funny to me, is how writers want this guy to be absolutely mental but it's shit like racism then he becomes a lucid good boy
If you guys don't want to commit then don't write a schizo guy.
I see people mentioning this in every single gta V thread. When does this happens? I do not remember it.
Did you play the dlcs?
No. That explains it.
I used to like Michael more until Trevor appeared, then he became my favorite
I dont hate him but i dont care about him either. I wonder if he would be better or worse as a character if he was 1/3 of the main characters instead of 1/2 of the main characters since Franklin has to character to speak of.
>those missions where you join the "border patrol" to deport mexicans
>you kill them after some old mexican shames you
>killing the old mexican is an automatic mission fail despite the cutscene prior telling you to kill him if it bothers you so much
That never happens
I literally played the mission last week you fricking homosexual
My hair looks like that op pic now but when GTA5 came out my hair looked like this. Why does this happen?
shampoo stripping natural chemicals or something
not enough sun
not enough balanced diet
not enough exercise
stress
genetics
ageing
Also forgot to mention that I have 3 brothers (one who is older) and none of them have any balding whatsoever.
Once you reach adulthood your body is constantly breaking down slowly. Every impact, every trip and fall, every cut is wear and tear that adds up. Even if you don't get any of that simple cell division causes wear and tear because that too isn't perfect. God works for apple because life is a very definition of planned obsolescence
yes. your the only one on the entire internet sick of trevor... your very original
Michael was right when he called him a hipster. Even if Trevor eats them he's no better than them in some ways.
Trevor is extremely cringe. Anyone who likes him is not someone I would want to be around.
Trevor fans should not be trusted around plushies.
I only like Trevor because my hair looks exactly like his.
He's interesting, I think on paper he serves a good purpose. The protagonist trio has 3 archetypes, gang banger, renowned bank robber, and crazy hillbilly. Plus in universe he fits the playstyle of going on murderous 5 star rampages that casuals like to do.
It might just mostly be his dialogue that is insufferable, but I'm not sure how to fix it. It feels pretty dated now.
