People love getting (yous), likes, or recognition. To these insane creatures who have invested too much time and money into this, its a negative reaction for someone to steal their style. They arent normal people creating a cool looking character, they are obsessed and to them it feels like they are artists and you just plagiarized them. I feel like that’s particularly a holdover from the days of FFXI too, where you’d get a message that “___ inspects you” and even though you could turn it off you’d get a ton of autists throwing raging fits that people were “peeking at their character” or some bullshit.
