nearly doubled eddie recharge time, flight lasts less time, damned fang does less damage and probably will leave you without eddie due to the increased timer. in exchange zato and eddie can switch positions for side switch mix, but he already had other ways to switch sides, so it seems pointless. even the new system mechanics will give him problems because more burst=more chances to escape eddie
All supers had their damage nerfed. Im unsure by how much since giving numbers or frame data in patch notes is apparently against the spirit of fighting games.
XX isn't even experiencing how Guilty Gear was meant to be played, nevermind any specific character. If you're interested in how Guilty Gear was meant to be played, there's only one option.
Gun has worse scaling so he can't delete you from fullscreen and needs to combo with his normals for good damage
If his roll crosses you up he always stops at a fixed distance where he's close enough to be thrown
it's the second, 6H can't cancel into specials so he lost a massive part of his frame trap/pressure game by not being able to do 6H into dash for really frickign stupid frame traps and otg hit into followup
beyblade is a low and the second hit of hit dp is overhead, hes basically slayer now
beyblade being a low means nothing because nago isn't hitting you with overheads anyway and it's impossible to set it up so that his new overhead special hits you without a shitload of startup and an extremely obvious animation. its literally slower then a charged 5D
again this is literally slower then just doing 2k or 5d on someones wakeup while also preemptively eating up a ton of your blood just to run a mixup before you even use it for the combo to make that mixup get you anything at all
>nago isn't hitting you with overheads anyway and it's impossible to set it up so that his new overhead special hits you without a shitload of startup and an extremely obvious animation
except that nago can't 6h -> 236k anymore so he can't do the slayer meme of whiffing under pressure over your body and either canceling into the overhead or just doing 2k instead, instead you have to sit there and do the entire first slash like a jackass when u can just 5D instead
0 ob low that continues your moronicly strong offense lmao
You can just 5k and do a low/overhead and if you guess wrong you're basically dead
beyblade hasn't been 0 on block at distances where you could hit them with the overhead in over a year.
he gets to force an unreactable 50/50 after you block a move with a hitbox that looks like this
I don't think you actually understand what that means
it has a hitbox like that on a character who has cement shoes because he can't autopilot 236k otg setups to be at the perfect spacing anymore to run this kind of bullshit and also lol if u think slower then 5D = unreactable
Just in case you actually believe the shit you're saying.

I think the strat here is just going to be always stand block after DP1 and just take the hit if they beyblade because it will force more blood spent either way.
That or fuzzy block high for 10-13 frames and then block low and hope they didn't just delay DP2.
Anonymous
DP2 reward is potato without meter or so I've heard
If they're delaying you can fuzzyjump/fuzzyDP, but that depends on what gap they're leaving.
My friends a pot main and his opinion from what he can gather is Pot is fairly net neutral on changes with the exception that his 5p change is INSANE for pot since it means he actually has a proper 5f to challenge fake shit.
just in case you're simply ignorant rather than developmentally disabled
after blocking 623H Nago can do either 623H>H which hits overhead with 10f startup and can be delayed
Or he can do 214H which hits low with 14f startup.
you have, at most, 14 frames to react to the difference between 623H>H and 623H>214H
that's the same speed as the fastest possible TK bad moon in Xrd for comparison
the dustloop page for xrd slayer directly links to a guide where the guy modded in the trans colors onto slayer lmao
reminder autogenyophiles like romola who gets sexually aroused by pretending they're big a cowtit anime girl instead of a boy were the people you'd see at every western guilty gear tournament for years before strive was out
I won't touch this game until they fix the goddamn HUD pop-up effects like "counter!" and make them small instead of covering the entire screen. Also, fix all the other things that make this game ugly, like the excessive particle/hit effects and the hideous character juggle animations. Nothing else they do will make me care otherwise.
There's a white Wild Assault, which the big characters have, I think that's just Goldlewis, Potemkin and Bedman?, and it has some invincibility, there's a blue one that guard crushes and there's an orange one that's good for combos.
They fixed not being able to join a vacant Duel Station after more than 2 whole years. Is the online mode finally working OK now?
What the heck were they doing not fixing basic stuff like letting players play the game when they want before releasing cash grabs?
How has the game changed so far overall?
I stopped playing the moment the Baiken DLC released. I used to main Nagoriyuki because I mained Slayer in Xrd and didn't know who to play.
I read the non character related changes from the last update's changelog and I don't get why the defending player gets their Burst Gauge punished (slightly drained) even when they block the new Wild Assault mechanic. Is this a reasonable choice when your opponent is playing well?
Are Wild Assaults meant to be something like Dead Angle attacks and the Blitz Shield attack from Xrd?
I don't get why would they make each character's weight exactly the same.

Tagging you since you're the only ones talking about WAs
>I don't get why the defending player gets their Burst Gauge punished (slightly drained) even when they block the new Wild Assault
I'm guessing that's because there's a downpayment of 50% burst to even do it.
So any pressure/combo you don't want to be immediately burstable
Obviously the exchange is in your favour, but you're burning 50% burst on a chance to get a hit.
The burst game is completely different now and will take time to figure out.
Has anyone experienced disconnected during match and Duel Station issues so far?
I also didn't notice how Blue Burst now has full screen coverage. I wasn't expecting that. I'm sad Gold Burst doesn't give you tension like it used to. I used that a freaking ton to mess around and loved it.
Weight was already barely a factor in Strive, it's absence is barely noticeable. They probably just decided to drop it because it had little meaning in the game anyway and was just a holdover from the older games, where it was much more pronounced so it mattered a lot more. I don't think WA is like Blitz really, though there are obviously similarities, the purpose of WA seems to vary depending on the character. It seems like a strong combo tool for the ones with the combo one and the reversal one seems like a good way for the heavier characters to get in on the likes of Asuka or Axl.
I see, thanks for the replies. Maybe I'll try it during the weekend with the only friend I regularly played the game.
Gold Burst gives you positive bonus now instead, which is worth like three gauges of Tension and it refills Burst faster now too on top of it, so it's probably a net buff to Gold Burst.

>check dustloop to see if there is johnny frame data >remember how they decided to keep the pride logo permanently instead of changing it after june >it´s back to normal
so which staff member had a break up with their troony gf?
Not really, they made his 2K, air bandit bringer and fafnir a little better and bandit revolver a little worse so in theory his offense should be more varied now instead of hinging a lot of it around bandit revolver frametrap into RC high/low
>never played a fighting game >bought asuka because look cool >ranked 1 star under easy to use so it should be simple >turns out to be hardest challenge of my life >spend an hour practicing and can't win more than half of online battles
You read the stars backwards, 1 star ease of use means the hardest, 5 stars easy of use means the easiest. You've basically done the equivalent of learning dota as your first moba with invoker, and I would strongly recommend learning the basics with a simpler character like Ky.
I think the combo WA seems better than the others, being able to convert easily off a f.S into wallbreak without spending Tension is really strong, especially considering Positive Bonus gives Burst back faster now too.
It absolutely is. being able to deny burst, force people to hold your combos and possibly wall splat them before they can get it back is great. Unless you play someone like Nago and want that easy guard crush mix for a possible grab/bite
Pot gang rise up
Hello
>he's broken but he's technical so it okay!
not anymore.
Is this game easier than fighterz? ._.
i haven't played fighterz, but strive is probably the easiest big fighter in recent memory. give it a shot i guess
what did they do to zato?
nearly doubled eddie recharge time, flight lasts less time, damned fang does less damage and probably will leave you without eddie due to the increased timer. in exchange zato and eddie can switch positions for side switch mix, but he already had other ways to switch sides, so it seems pointless. even the new system mechanics will give him problems because more burst=more chances to escape eddie
I wish GG stayed dead

>character weight normalized
>goldlewis super damage nerf
damn. no more stealing rounds with 60% damage wakeup supers after opponents drop combos
>goldlewis super damage nerf
wtf why
the whole point is that he takes big gambles for big damage
the weebgoys can't handle an actual competitive game, everything must be nerfed
ALL super damage was nerfed, everyone
All supers had their damage nerfed. Im unsure by how much since giving numbers or frame data in patch notes is apparently against the spirit of fighting games.
Jap games never have detailed numbers meanwhile burger made paltform fighters do
its not that big of a nerf, itll be 56% instead of 60
Is Happy Chaos still broken?
nerfed, but probably still strong
>playing troony game
Just let Leffen rape that game and forget about it, move on to Street Fighter nobody gives a frick about Guilty troony
yes
but street fighter doesnt have zato 🙁
it has JP which is cooler looks like a Rasputin and all the white people are top tier: ken, jp, cammy, guile, luke, etc
Neither does Strive. Go play XX to experience the character the way he was actually designed and meant to be played.
XX isn't even experiencing how Guilty Gear was meant to be played, nevermind any specific character. If you're interested in how Guilty Gear was meant to be played, there's only one option.
I hate SF6's overcentralizing universal mechanics and I don't like any of the characters, why should I play it
not gonna play that ugly Black person game
Gun has worse scaling so he can't delete you from fullscreen and needs to combo with his normals for good damage
If his roll crosses you up he always stops at a fixed distance where he's close enough to be thrown
Kek he was literally tournament with literally just the gun.
troony game
that is all
>buffed nago
what the frick
The balance team desperately wants you to stop playing and make their boss make a different game and you keep consuming.
was he "buffed" or was he "given a new tool to compensate for a bunch of nerfs I'm blowing out of proportion"
beyblade is a low and the second hit of hit dp is overhead, hes basically slayer now

the only "setup" you need is DP1 on block into either DP2 or beyblade. You can make them hit on the same frame and it's completely unreactable
again this is literally slower then just doing 2k or 5d on someones wakeup while also preemptively eating up a ton of your blood just to run a mixup before you even use it for the combo to make that mixup get you anything at all

you legitimately do not understand how fighting games work and further discussion is pointless

If I play a certain blonde should I be worried
steam is updating GGST 😮
Posting my husbando
Genuinely do not understand why Giovanna was nerfed.
I feel like ever patch is just lmao we remade her entire gameplan.
blame TY for winning everything with her
she's extremely fricking boring so they always want to change her but they never actually make her interesting so the problem always remains
What's the purpose of Ram's new move?
To give her something to press after f.S>5H midscreen seeing as her 214K isn't as safe anymore, I think.
but 236K is way too slow for that. I would eat a stun dipper If I did that
what the frick do i with potemkin's WA? just a caked up 6K?
I believe it's strike invulnerable, though not on frame 1.
>I ONCE HAD SOME

bros ky has an unreactable mixup because he can hit me with 2k or he can hit 5D and just RC either one into a combo

I exclusively find neg wr/below 1k game newbies in +r and harass them.
I haven't played since they nerfed Sol's 6p, and the troony stuff has been keeping me away from the game. How is Sol these days?
He's good.
>nerfed the frick out of Ram
>barely touched HC
Thanks, I hate it
Update drops at 12 est right?
It's already out.
Oh. Welp time to frick around with chipp.
did they buff batman? do nerfs/buffs matter on floor 8?
They did bufff him, and the buffs included basic things like letting him keep errors after wallbreak so they probably will matter even at that floor.
Give it to me straight. They didn't do shit for axl, did they
You can combo raw rensen> delayed cherry bomb> rensen> cherry bomb
Wee buffs
What's up with the different versions of Wild Assault? There are 3 and it's character dependent?
There's a white Wild Assault, which the big characters have, I think that's just Goldlewis, Potemkin and Bedman?, and it has some invincibility, there's a blue one that guard crushes and there's an orange one that's good for combos.
Got it, thank you.
