I have played gun and it does not do that
It's not as much of a sandbox as RDR was
If I recall correctly most of the stuff in the overworld was just busy work, like horse time trials and shit
I definitely enjoyed it more, but I would never call it a better game
Invincible horse for beating the game was pretty cool
Because I had GUN as a child. I'm 21 now.
Kids play what they have, and love every minute of it.
I was 16 by the time I played RDR, and it's undeniably a better game. More to do, memorable characters, interesting story.
I remember basically nothing from GUN. John Colt (if that's even his name, who remembers) is a native american who's dad was some hunter guy who adopted him
He gets killed on a boat and then a bunch of shit happens that I don't remember.
homie nobody cared about Crackdown, they only bought it for the Halo 3 beta.
>Halo babies
Crackdown was good shit and so was Gun.
Unless I am not remembering things correctly and Halo 3 is the Halo game where you play as Master Chief and shoot aliens?
In spite of being completely barren, RDR is one of probably 3 open world games I like. It has perfect Western vibes. Gun is alright. That's it, really. I've never wanted to play it again. It's significantly better than RDRevolver though.

What did anon mean by this?

I don't even remember that much. I have vague memories of it ripping of Trigun and that's about it.
It mogs Red Dead Revolver but not RDR
Revolver mogs RDR
I played it on release and enjoyed it, but it was nothing more than filler to kill time before the release of Crackdown.
homie nobody cared about Crackdown, they only bought it for the Halo 3 beta.
I specifically mentioned Crackdown to extrapolate how forgotten Gun was compared to Halo 3, which in turn was dead by the release of RDR.

Crackdown was good shit and so was Gun.

Call of Juarez 1 and 2 mog every western
First one is kinda ruined by the fricked up whip mechanic
Had a random flashback to the CoJ multiplayer the other day, those were the days

Utterly mogs Gun
Later levels are just unfun puzzle bullshit.
>overwhelmingly positive reviews
looks like I'm buying this game, and it's on sale for dirt cheap.
It's really good
Pretty addictive once you get used to it.
It better be better than Bound in Blood because that was complete garbage.
>mogs every western game ever made
It beats Revolver to death but as much as it is a movie game Redemption is genuinely great.
No western game mogs Red Dead Redemption, including Red Dead Redemption 2 which is inferior in almost every way
Many games mog it. Call of Juarez, Gun. Even Read Dead Revolver mogs it.
>Call of Juarez
Linear fps
>Gun
Unmemorable story and characters
>Read Dead Revolver
Linear and worst story and characters
