still havent bought the dlc, dont see any reason to unless it is a new area.
The DLC add guns to the pool, which is worth it to me more than the characters. But yeah, more stages are what this game badly needs now more than anything.

is it actually a good game?
Yes
It's fun. There's a lot of weapons and each character has a few different builds, but you play the same 4 stages every run.
It has kind of a weird thing going on where the "higher difficulty" modes/modifiers also add things that make the game easier so there isn't really like a super hard mode.
I like it, really wish they added more new areas but i've gotten many hours of fun from it already.
It's pretty fun. It's entertaining seeing just how broken you can get with the right setups and inscriptions only to get your cheeks clapped by a random sniper or by making a dumb mistake because of you going mad with power.
If a "roguelite FPS" sounds like fun to you, yeah it's great. A lot of the game's content is locked behind progress and minor achievements, so you'll keep being drip fed new guns and new scrolls (roguelite buffs that can stack on each other).
It's alright.
Feels like Borderlands but with the entire focus being on shooting stuff and getting new guns and upgrades.

the only character i finished the game with is the bird and then I found out people think he's weak or smth, thats crazy once you get some upgrades you're literally invincible + super mobile + one shot everytyhing
He snowballs very well but early on it can be somewhat of a pain to maintain good armour levels.
Bird requires some additional buy-in price otherwise you're stuck with non-regenerating armor. Which explains why most people avoid him.
Pretty much all the characters in this game have a broken build if you RNG it hard enough, one thing I would like want is there to be a super-hard mode in which you can partially build up a character and then have to run through a more expansive and difficult variation of all the stages to beat the game.
