Unironically the new anime is the only good Pokemon thing we have right now, not amazing, just good enough to be entertaining.
That might sound like moronic talk, but I unironically like the new shows a lot more than the games rn. Probably because of the directions they could unfold. Horizons is despite all the shitflinging on /padt/ a comfy trip at the moment. And while the web series seems more like a paldean version of the Twilight wings format, the art style and studio behind it catches my interest a bit. The games on the other hand are still playing it too safe and what not. Plus except for the footage, there was barely more to it than actual gameplay footage.
Doesn't help that they're still not fixing shit or probably not bothering with QA-testing.

Except we did, we learned of the places, the characters and the pokemon appearing in it in the last presentation, they just expanded on it.

I like pokemon and i have very autistic sentai related reasons to be excited about the DLC,
but the artstyle in this gen just doesn't work pokemon never had these fricking semirealistic textures before, it makes it hard to look at the game, but by far the worst thing about this gen is that the switch can't fricking handle it, it runs like shit, like even worse than the worst parts of gen 7, i wanna explore all these new places but then i look at the game and remember it's a fricking chore to play because the framerate is shit
