      I had an early 120hz monitor around 2010 and had to suck up screen tearing because gsync/freesync didn't exist. It's almost not noticeable above 80fps to be fair.
      If I turned on vsync it felt like I was moving my mouse through jelly with the input lag.

    disabling vsync is pretty much meaningless if you're on windows and not using exclusive fullscreen mode
