Just take it one step at a time and throw 2 shurikens at each jetpack dude coming your way. That's all it takes.

Yes but first, you must figure out that's all it takes.
Without looking it up. Back in the very late 80s and very early 90s.
All on your own. After god knows how many tries.

it only took me one game over to figure it out, without gamefaqs or whatever

        >take the corridor at the normal speed
        >get obliterated
        >well then I wonder what are my choices... not much except trying to take it slow and spamming weapons
        >find out that way that shurikens are as good as scrolls as far as this corridor is concerned

Of course if you're a dumbass, you will never get to point 3, which is stopping to wonder about your choices, and instead keep trying to brute force it the same way

Stop lying. How do I know you're lying?
          >>find out that way that shurikens are as good as scrolls as far as this corridor is concerned
The fact you even mentioned scrolls.
          You looked up SOMETHING.

you mean YOU needed a guy to figure out that scrolls are the best subweapons?

everyone always repeat the same BS for this corridor
            >just grind for scrolls dude and spam them
that's how you know people didn't try on their own, exactly because you don't need to grind for anything and basic shurikens are just as good

You remind me of the apologists for the Sonic 3 barrel.
And I mean that in the most negative possible light in all the known universe.

I recommend people grind for scrolls just to make Levels 4-6 easier. I was unaware they or any other subweapon was needed for this hallway, since I always assumed if you attack the jetpack guys you are just screwing yourself over. Just crouch when they appear and they will fly away and go be gay somewhere else. Your standard weapon works just fine for the other enemies.

It's not my fault you suck at games and can't figure out how to problem solve.

No. I'm asking you how many times did it take you. Or did you reload your save state after the first time and look it up?

I think I did it with boomerangs, personally. I like those because you can catch them.

I seem to remember just barely getting to Shredder a single time as a kid. This hallway really was brutal. I had so little health that I couldn't properly fight him and that was that. When I came back as an adult and seriously tried to finish the game finally, I didn't use any despawning glitch or heavy item grinding. I just tried it several times, used whatever weapons I happened to have, switched turtles a lot, and eventually blundered through with enough life left to face the final challenge. It's possible to do that, apparently.

I beat this game as a kid, at around 7-8 years old, and I had played it since I was 4. By the time I reached that room I could already clear the entire game to that point without getting game over, so it was only a matter of grinding continues inside the Technodrome until I figured out a way to get past it. If I ran out of continues I would just start the game over the next day or the day after that. You don't even need any ranged weapons, hell I almost never used scrolls when I was a kid because I didn't commit to memory where to find them, and now as an adult they're just a waste of time. Donatello or Leonardo/Michelangelo below half HP is enough to kill the small robots in one hit, and you don't need to kill any of the rocketmen, you just need to get the lucky pattern.
