Game devs develop their games with PlayStation first and foremost in mind then do porting to PC and Xbox hence why many games gets released with better performance on the PS5. Frankly, FSR2 makes PS5 Pro redundant.
Sony could invest into their own new temporal upscaling technology that could surpasses FSR2, which could completely invalidate PS5 Pro.
My point is there's no reason for PS5 Pro to exist in the first place. PS4 Pro had reason, and those were brand new 4K displays. Right now 4K displays are the standard for TVs.
PS5 is already a really powerful console that hardly any game uses to the extend it's really capable of. Right now everyone uses 9th gen hardware as an excuse not to optimize their games.
Not worth it if the rumors about it costing $650 are true. At that point you have a decent budget for a PC.
By this time the PS4 was already $100 cheaper selling for $300 instead of $400. The PS5 is still $500 and the digital version even went up in price by $50. Not to mention games are $70 and because most software sales on PS5 are digital the physical versions actually end up costing more since there aren't many copies floating around, so you can't even get dirt cheap used games anymore. And to that add that to play games online you have to pay $80. Owning a console nowadays is an expensive endeavor. It's a lot of money you have to spend just to play a few games and then see it get abandoned in a few years when the PS6 is out.
