So, in terms of it being an actual game, what does this expac actually bring? I only see the Ganker "it has scalie dragons and ruined Alexstraza" posts.
It's brought back talent trees and gives you a massive class and spec trees which will give a ton of customizations of builds. They look really amazing.
They're apparently adding a lot of QoL changes to various aspects, a whole UI rehaul, and a unique (well, ripped off Guild Wars) flight system.
Basically, it's giving you more customization than any MMORPG to date.

I doubt it gives more customization than the game had in WOTLK, but good to know they are trying some new things. Or at least bring back some old good things.

So what? Hopefully blizz will work on balancing the game more to make less played options more useful in some way. But that still doesn't take away from the fact you're making a decision, you know like in a roleplaying game.
WoW is full of no-fun meta gamers I don't like it but it is. You will be kicked out of groups if you don't play something viable. Perhaps it's better on RP servers.
I mean yeah but a lot of these options that used to be legendary gear and covenant 'choices' are just part of the talent tree now which is something you'll be able to switch around on the fly. So that's much more accessible in terms of customization.

False. There are a lot of new skills added, BFA things, and legendary effects.
