Yeah, the controls are really difficult but and as mentioned the load-times are quite egregious. Super impressive for the DC, really a shame it wasn't released for real.
I thought you had to have a mouse branded or made for PS2 for it to work on the ps2.
the reason is a plugged in a mouse and keyboard into my ps2 before and it did not work.
slim model.
maybe you emulate the ps2 version on pc ?
It should work fine with most generic USB mice, maybe it has problems with ones with more than 3 buttons or high polling rates but it works fine for most.
Tried it and played until Blast Pit, load times are really long. I love the PS2 port however.

Do you have a PlayStation 2 mouse ?
What mouse ? The game works with any USB mouse and keyboard

The PS2 version looks almost like real video motion characters.
I plugged a random usb mouse and it worked
Are they worse than Half Life 2 for the xbox hueg?
Dreamcast yes, PS2 HL1 is a fantastic port that doesn't get enough credit. Also HL2 Xbox loads are fine if you're HDD loading.
Yeah, it's good.
You can mod it too, so you can download They Hunger for the DC too, plus some others that work.
How does Half-Life even play on Dreamcast when you only have one analog stick to work with
Same as Quake 3 and Unreal Tournament. You accelerate with triggers. It supports mouse and keyboard...
Very painfully.
Like turok
Quake 3 and Unreal had keyboard and mouse support, I believe Half-Life did too
but does it half splitscreen multiplayer?
No. PS2 only.
>guy who did the blue shift ps2 port and was working on opposing force got drafted by putin and probably died in ukraine

Did he actually get scooped up? Lots of people dodged that shit, you had people fleeing the country in droves and going into hiding.
