its been on like half a dozen racketboy lists, people have known about harmful park and known it's a good and accessible game for a long time. It's a good game but it's a very well known import game

That's appealingly clever but it also looks too much like Amusement Park at a glance... too many people would pass over it. With the right graphic design that problem could be avoided, but it'd be tricky.

I was looking through Playstation shooting games and 2D games and it caught my eye.
I learned about it on v/vr since the sprite work is amazing. It's my first 1cc in a shmup, I love it and I shilled it for months on every shmup thread.

Like Little Ralph it's one of those Japan only PS1 games that constantly gets reposted and praised. It's a good game, I've played it. I really like the backgrounds.
I just like the Parodius games a lot more. Something kind of... boring about it. Feels slow. Mechanics aren't all that interesting.

Oh I still suck at it, and every other shmup. It just seems to scroll a little slowly and just lacks excitement. I don't find its systems, levels, or enemies all that interesting. I dunno. I'm being a little harsh I know, I just know I WANT to like the game and don't as much as I'd like.
Did you beat it? Only the first level is particularly slow and upping the difficulty changes all of this.
I thinks strategically choosing what weapons to level up is a very interesting mechanic.

Ice. Just that. It's the best weapon in the game. After Ice is fully upgraded, then it's up to your preference.
Harmful Park's cool. Like a slower Parodius with longer stages made specifically for console.
I like the weapon system and a lot of the music.
