Harvestella looks pretty good, but they haven't said anything at all about a marriage or dating system. Square isn't moronic enough to make a Rune Factory clone without a marriage system are they? They will actually be losing sales without one because it's something people expect with this kind of game now.

I am eager to know what the farming system is. If it's better than black desert online then I will play your game.

Hearing there's an extra bit on the German site that wasn't on the English one for some reason
Apparently it translates to "You are even able to live together in your own home" under the section about bonding with townsfolk
    Can any Germanbros confirm?

      Anonymous

Yeah, it says that as you complete character stories, you get closer to townsfolk and can even live together.

Guess that confirms it then? Really weird they would omit that line from the English site. Maybe they're planning on releasing a trailer focused solely on the marriage system or something.

I wish there was a best buds system where you could be roommates and not marry. It'd be a waste of time to make because I'd be the only one who would want that but it would be nice. I don't care about romance but it would be nice to have some company.

Can someone explain why farming games always need to have these marriage shit and how people go bonkers about how cute character X is/will be?
I just wanna farm the everlasting shit out of crops and outisraelite everything. Occasionally some fighting.

because women and moronic yurishippers (weebs) need marriage in their games otherwise they seethe. look at any bioware game.

Because they're usually "life sims". And love is part of life.
Also marriage isn't forced onto you so nothing is stopping you from just living the lonely farmisraelite life.

You mean square are smart enough not to touch romance romance in such things anymore because of all the homosexually related baggage it causes where you're pissing people off whatever you do

People have come to expect marriage in these games, but I figure they don't actually need it so long as there's actually something of interest going on other than just farming
Like I'm not interested in the Doraemon SoS games despite the great art style specifically because HM without marriage just sounds like "wake up, water plant, go back to bed" simulator.
But RF without marriage would be a-ok. Shit has good enough mechanics to get away with it.

Games like this need meaningful npc interaction, marriage is one such system to create that interaction. I'm not sure if it's necessary, but it does force players to make a choice, and that choice makes people invested in the NPCs.

They totally are. Squeenix is the king of bad decisions. So either no romance, or the only option is the most bog standard sterile bland two dimensional cardboard princess character that literally not one single person on this entire fricking planet could have feelings for.
Yeah, no thanks. If gameplay proves me wrong, I'll buy it on discount.

There are people who like Princess What'sherface from FFXV, who was a complete non-character. I think you underestimate how low the standards are.

If they release without it and a taming system they are really dumb. But that's worrying me too.

Since they droped the ball with rf5 I hope that some competition get to market.
