The sim city shit is already there with the villagers imagine if villages could expand their village on their own with your help. Imagine if you could set the blueprint for the style of houses they would build by building them yourself and they copy them. Turn tiny villages into sprawling cities.
You could set villagers to different tasks and have them produce goods for you which you could trade. Farming could be more advanced too, animals and plants. Instead of just making 2 sheep frick with wheat and turn into 4 sheep and those turn into 8 sheep the sheep would require upkeep food etc and there would be a straight turnaround for the investment. Maybe they could have implemented different races that live in different biomes or even underground who can offer you different goods.
There could have been a clear progression from the stone age to the middle ages to maybe even post industrial society that would provide a progression path.
Sadly this will never happen and Microsoft will just keep pumping out shitty updates that add new blocks for trannies to build with and more useless mobs to waste processing power on.
