Has anyone ever finished this game??

Each of the three times I tried to play this I always got burned out and cut it short about 30/40 hours in. You always meet the same shitter enemies that are a fricking joke and
obliterate them over and over while traveling the same exact locations back and forth. The RPG progression is some vertical powercreep progression you have no control over. You largely gain bigger numbers with minor bells and whistles, but this happens mostly as scripted quests progression with minor effect from kills, so your exploration doesn't matter unless there's a quest marker where you are going, and the open world doesn't even scale around player progression either.
Is this the shittiest game Ganker memed people into playing? Is it all an elaborate troll?
It's impressive to see how many issues FFXVI and Dragon's Dogma indeed share, especially the meaningless "numbers up" progression that is only tied to the on rails main quests completition and 98% of enemies being shitty cannon fodder

You only need to do like 10 quests to beat the game how do you get burned out

I did, it was challenging, the story and ost were pretty kino.
It has a special place in my heart.

Why the hell would you want the world to scale with the player?

Most of the time is spent traveling the same locations, which is boring as frick because there's nothing that takes mire than a bunch of hits to kill

I beat it, yeah. I didn’t bother with black bleak isle expansion because of the posters here which claim the original game sucks and it only “really begins when you go there”. Maybe when I get peace and can properly check it out I might. As for taking too long traveling and stuff, yeah it becomes a chore but if you just stick to the main quest you’ll get there and level up high enough to beat those bandits and get access to the final fight with the dragon and get your heart back. It’s also yet again another rpg with too much crowd control, where you must worry about needing eyedroppers because you will be blind for 10 minutes standing still for it to go away.
No one is telling you the game doesn’t have flaws buddy. But its grapple mechanics and climbing on big but very very slow enemies is a good thing. Including rides on giant birds, you aren’t so dead that you MISSED these things, are you? You DID play with a warrior and stick to melee combat, right?

    >cut it short about 30/40 hours in
The game isn't that long what the frick are you on about.
I beat the game twice and have only 50 hours in it
    >obliterate them over and over while traveling the same exact locations back and forth
There's a fast travel item and you need to go back to locations like at most 3 times for side quests
    >You largely gain bigger numbers with minor bells and whistles, but this happens mostly as scripted quests progression with minor effect from kills
You get more skills from your vocations as you level up, and all RPGs are just number-go-up, do you even know what the frick you're talking about?
    >and the open world doesn't even scale around player progression either.
Why is that a problem? Having everything scale to your level removes any sense of progression. Being able to beat up on enemies that were once tough is one the best parts of the game

      >You get more skills from your vocations as you level up
Just better variations, mostly just bigger numbers
      >and all RPGs are just number-go-up
Wrong, RPGs use leveling and gear choices as a way to shape the player playstyle. Dragon's Dogma sucks because its class system is stuck with three usable skills each, a lot of them even usable just on specific enemy types

I have bought Dragon's Dogma 6 times (thrice at full price), cheevoed the platinum trophy thrice, done everything there is to do on every platform for whence I've purchased it. I don't give a shit what anyone says tbh there is nothing else like it

No it isn't. No scaling is only good if you aren't going through the same areas over and over but actually progressing through the game world

There is nothing worse than level scaling in games. Gaining power is part of the RPG experience, and with level scaling you either never feel like you're getting powerful or the bethesda way where you get so powerful that all difficulty is thrown out of the window the moment you get some levels.

Not him and yeah, the guys claiming it needs to be more like an RPG are helping video games stay in prison to bad game companies that would rape video games if they could and turn them all into MMOs.

I see a lot of steam bots posting their achievements and nothing else. They can’t even answer the OP. They definitely didn’t exist before, especially since communists post their hate of Americans usually by posting that the expansion is the only good part and the original game is not even worth playing.

It's a game made for myself good gentlesirs and I'm surprised and shocked that you don't like it. It makes me sad you can't experience the same glorious emotion I felt when completing this game. It all made sense, everything made sense when I completed this game.

    Few more points:
Didn’t like the characters at all, there practically were none. The only characters you have are you and the dragon. There is an André the Giant character you can select in the character select menus. So I went with that and basically saw the game as Andre (the real wrestler giant guy).
There is too much ability to just eat tons of food and less focus on an actual good combat system with healing in mind like Dark Souls 3 and Estus. Elden Ring is also less memorable because flask of honey / estus just seems more sticky than Crimson Flask.

if you're having to stuff yourself with curatives that means you're bad at the game
it's funny how much shitters cry that the game allows them to be shitters instead of getting good enough to not have to rely on doing that

I bought it because Ganker told me to. I instantly regretted it. I disliked everything about it, every single mechanic and feature from top to bottom. I'm now convinced that it was all an elaborate prank, that everyone on Ganker ritually bands together to convince people to purchase this absolutely worthless, braindead game.
